About Françoise or Nick

I grew up in France where my first profession (ballerina) took me to different part of my country and Europe. Later I came to California where my children were born. During the 90's Nick and I lived both in Paris and Miami while he pursued his fashion photography career. When I first came to Miami I chose Coconut Grove as then it was the center of cultural activities and home of many artists.

Françoise or Nick purchased this house in 1984

Why Françoise or Nick chose Northeast Coconut Grove

This has been our home in this unique neighborhood for a long time. The children are gone and we would like to share it with guests on occasion allowing us to travel too.

What makes this house unique

Lots of character, authenticity yet close to everything in Miami.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Your house has been a wonderful experience for us. It has such a fantastic feeling and a real personality. It's so gorgeous!! We thank you for allowing us to rent it for our stay in Miami. If we visit this way again we will be back here if it's available.

We would also extend a warm offer if you ever do venture to the west of Australia to come for a surf and stay with us.

Love from the Aussie Yachties

Our home vintage 1923 features pickled original wood floors throughout , casement windows all around inviting the lushness in. It is located on a very quiet street (cul-de-sac) friendly to pedestrians. Enjoy relaxing and watching the sunset on the open front porch in total privacy, have breakfast in the screened porch surrounded by vegetation. The master bedroom bathes in shades of whites while the downstairs one plays a more exotic tune with african kuba cloth accent or read books in the third bedroom more traditionally appointed. TV sets are in both front and back part of the house. The village is minutes away with its many shops, restaurants, theaters as well as well maintained public tennis courts. It is a 5 minutes walk to Biscayne Bay, Kennedy park and the Fresh Market. A massage therapist for your pampering lives nearby.

Truly a home away from home

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for a place to stay in Coconut Grove, please stop your search. You have found THE place. Sure, it is conveniently located within walking or biking distance to restaurants, shops and parks. The neighborhood is lovely, And the aesthetic is absolutely beautiful - every room inside is cozy and comforting and the outdoor sitting areas are private and delightful. But what makes this house a home from the moment you enter is the positive energy of owners Nick and Francoise. They greet you and treat you with the warmth of dear friends. They are attentive, inviting, accessible and so remarkably thoughtful. They truly want to do whatever they can to make your stay memorable. Because they were so considerate in sharing their grandchildren's crib, high chair, books and toys, our one-year-old son adjusted to his new surroundings with ease. We were sad to see our stay come to an end but we look forward to returning. We simply cannot express how special the stay at this Abaco treasure is. Thank you, Francoise and Nick!

Beautiful house in the grove and fantastic hosts!

  • 5 of 5

Perfect house in the Grove. We had a wonderful stay. Francoise and Nick were great hosts. They made us feel welcomed and made sure we had everything we needed. The house is centrally located close to restaurants, shops, parks and of course the sailing center. Beautifully decorated, lots of space we had everything we needed. Francoise and Nick provided bikes, which the kids loved. Nick was super with lending his tools out.

Once again, thank you Nick and Francoise for making our stay wonderful. I really enjoyed our coffee and chat.

Expectations surpassed! Excellent place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here for my wedding weekend with bridal party. The home was beautiful and very clean. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating--great service all around. The area worked out perfect--walking distance to shops and eateries, quiet and peaceful. Our photographers and videographers had a field day with all of the unique touches and decor in the home while we got ready in the home the day of the wedding. Beds were super comfy and there was nothing we were left wanting for--plenty of linens, towels, kitchen supplies, etc. Thank you Francoise and Nick for sharing your home and being so all around gracious!

Simply fantastic house, neighbourhood and hosts

  • 5 of 5

We could not be happier with our stay at Francoise and Nick's wonderful house in Coconut Grove. The house was just so nice, beautifully decorated with a lot of atmosphere and great spaces and very well equipped. The beds were so comfortable. Fantastically located minutes away by bike (provided by our hosts) from the heart of the Grove, with friendly neighbors and peacocks roaming the streets. Our hosts did everything possible to make us feel welcome even offering to buy in some groceries when they saw that we were going to arrive late. A real jewel.
