About the property

2nd flr condo with Apalachicola Bay view. Very Clean and Nicely furnished!

3 private bedrooms (1 King & 2 queens), 2 bathrooms. Newly added futon in living room (great for two children or one adult). No pets.

Escape to paradise in this lovely unit, equipped with all the conveniences of home. Open floor plan includes a kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances. Fully equipped for meal preparation, the kitchen is stocked with mixer, smoothie blender, toaster, microwave, crock-pot, coffee pot (plus a Keurig) and most anything else you need. The large island makes meal prep convenient and has bar stools for easy entertaining. The dining area provides seating for six with large comfy chairs at a family built, handcrafted wood table.

Our home is tastefully decorated with seaside colors and themes. Ceiling fans in each bedroom and living room. Plantation blinds in all windows and room darkening curtains in bedrooms. Bedding, linens and towels provide a spa resort feel, no mass thin & faded cleaning service towels/linens here! Bedrooms are furnished with flat screen smart TVs and a 50" model for the living room. Cable and Wi-Fi access available. although WiFi service has been spotty in Apalachicola the past few months. (Mediacom is working on upgrading system). Bathroom counters are granite. The master bath has a floor to ceiling tiled shower with double sink vanity. The second full bathroom provides a tub/shower combo. You will have everything you need including blow dryers, iron/ ironing board and a brand new High Efficiency washer/dryer.

Dusk to dawn lighting activates automatically on the building and also provides security lighting under the building.

Enjoy your morning coffee or evening beverage on your private front balcony overlooking the Bay. Watch groups of pelicans glide over the tree tops or spy the resident owl and snow white herons along the waterfront. Oyster men leave early to gather the days harvest and fishermen will pass in front of the building searching for the catch of the day. Some shrimp boats leave the Bay through "Two Mile Channel" directly across from our location and sunset is the best opportunity for beautiful photos of them. Comfy chairs with cushions as well as a quaint bistro table set are provided on the balcony. The HUGE covered deck on the side of the building has two chairs and loveseat with cushions, a large slate tile coffee table and two reclining loungers. There is also a large table and chairs to enjoy meals, snacks or play card or board games when the weather allows. A grill is also supplied for your convenience. Afternoons and evenings are the perfect time to catch a breeze, a nap, or read a book. This is also a favorite spot for drinks, a cigar or grilling out with family and friends. Are you packed yet? Lots of room so everyone can stretch out and have their own space or come together to enjoy this wonderful seaside town. If interested, we can connect you with friends who just happen to be fully licensed boat captains. Schedule an eco tour up the river to view the old railroad crossing bridge, river beaches, Tupelo trees and perhaps a manatee or alligator sighting. Go out in the Bay and ride through the "cut" to the Gulf of Mexico for a dolphin excursion. You can also schedule an offshore fishing trip for an experience of a lifetime. If you are a first time visitor or even a returning regular, you can't run out of places to explore, activities to do, festivals to attend or special events to enjoy. Did we mention the world's best oysters? We are located within minutes of the most beautiful beaches on the "Forgotten Coast". 2 miles from Historic downtown Apalachicola. Only a 10-15 minute drive to St. George Island and just a few more miles to Eastpoint, home of Lynn's seafood, purveyors of genuine Apalachicola Oysters and other seafood (try the smoked mullet dip). Lynn's and The Owl Café were featured in the July 2016 issue of Southern Living. Take a right out of our driveway and you are a short 20 minute drive to Indian Pass Trading Post (those Oysters again), Cape San Blas, Port St. Joe, Windmark Beach and Mexico Beach. We ARE about 56 miles from Panama City Beach... in case you miss the crowds. You will have covered parking under the building and plenty of additional space to park your boat/trailer, RV or motorcycles. Please call ahead for info about boat parking!! There is a water hose available to wash or rinse off your ride but please be mindful of water usage.

Tracey & Michelle are considered "semi-retired", although they have never been busier. Managing properties and building Adirondack furniture keeps the schedule full. Both had long careers in retail (sporting goods stores and major gas stations), security, bartending, state and federal law enforcement jobs. They both have entrepreneurial spirits, are nature and animal lovers, and are sports enthusiasts. There is no greater enjoyment now, than taking a ride with good friend and local boat Captain, Cathy Buell and watching the dolphins play!

After several visits to this quaint historic town, Tracey & Michelle decided to buy property and make Apalach a more permanent vacation spot. The town is lovely and is a simple and slower pace of life. People are friendly and there is something fun to do every minute. It's a place where neighbors help neighbors and everyone just seems to wear a smile!

This unique property is positioned in the middle of the most beautiful beaches in the white sands of the "Forgotten Coast". It is not overly crowded but busy enough to create excitement with the many fun activities all year long. First Time to Apalachicola and Loved It!

We made a last minute decision to visit a different area of Florida/Alabama rather than the normal visits to Destin, Ft Morgan, Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. We were more than pleasantly surprised with this house! It's truly a home away from home. It has everything you need in stock, tastefully decorated, quite surroundings and just minutes away from downtown Apalachicola.

We brought our 10 month baby and the house was very baby friendly providing lots of room for her to crawl and play. There are even children's DVDs included.

The outside decks are wonderful. They both provide a roomy and comfortable place to unwind, talk and listen to music (a speaker system was also provided). It was so relaxing as we drank our coffee in the morning and wine in the evening.

I can't even begin to describe how comfy the furniture and beds are! We slept in later than usual finding it hard to leave the comfy beds.

There is so much to do within a short drive. Downtown Apalachicola is so quaint. We spent time enjoying shopping at the square stores and really enjoyed DELICIOUS food at both Apalachicola's Owl Cafe and Tap Room. The drives across the bridges to St George Island were breathtaking and relaxing. The beaches at St George were beautiful and the Oysters are a MUST! Both Harry A's and Paddy's Raw Bar have wonderful fresh oysters.

Location A+. We loved the fact that this house is situated in between Port St Joe and St George. No matter which route you take on U.S. Highway 98 you end up somewhere really awesome.

Thank you for making our first trip to Apalachicola a great experience that we are still talking about. We will be back my friends because you gals are the hostesses that ROCK !!

Very well maintained, clean and simple to find

Very nice place, only issue is we didn't realize it was on the second floor with lots of stairs to climb and we had my elderly father with us who has had hips, I really think that needs to be noted in descriptions, if it was I missed it, other than that I would definitely recommend

Terribly sorry this was an issue but our suggestion would be to ask that question to make sure it is an easier accessible unit prior to booking. Perfectly Situated at a Good Price

This location is right across the water, and half way between Port St Joe and St. George Island. Three minutes from a grocery store and downtown Apalachicola - this is a great economical place to stay as a launching place to explore and enjoy some great nearby beaches. We went to Cape San Blas and had one of the best beach experiences of our lives - beautiful beach, few people, family friendly. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and spacious. No complaints at all. We are grateful for the experience!

Wonderful Getaway Spot

We loved our stay here. It is a very nice , spacious, and well appointed condo with tons of deck space. By not being on the Ocean itself, it is a great value since you are so close to both St. George Island and Cape Sand Blast. And of course Apalachicola itself has a fun and thriving downtown shop/bar/restaurant scene two minutes away. Thanks!

We are not located on the beach but we are exactly 2 miles from downtown Apalachicola on Hwy 98. (The only three story building in the area.) Our property has plenty of room for boat and trailer parking. Building has security lighting. There is no fish cleaning permitted on the grounds, please have this done before bringing your catch home.
