Piece of Paradise ...
A magic spot to relax and rejuvenate!!! Two mums and three kids were a perfect fit for three nights/ four days and we only left the property once to visit the zoo ! We had fun fishing, chatting to the the highland cattle, checking for fresh eggs and loved cooking in the outdoor kitchen and pizza oven!!!
Hosts were very friendly, beds very comfy and a highlight was the fire pit each night discussing the stars !!! Next time we might even bring our Husbands!!! Thanks for a fabulous stay!!!
Romantic Weekend Away
I was looking for a romantic place to get away from the kids and the city. It was a surprise for my partner. I tell you what, 'this little gem' was a winner. We had the most romantic, private getaway we've had in a long, long time. The accommodation was clean, the views spectacular, the outdoor kitchen was amazing, the breakfast basket was generous. We will be back sometime soon.
Incredibly Tranquil Honeymoon!
My husband and I were looking for a quiet, picturesque honeymoon destination away from the world - and we found it ! The views are magnificent - you can watch the mist roll in over the hills and the beautiful cattle grazing in the paddock outside your window. The owners supplied us with basket of treats for breakfast [yummy cheese, fresh berries, bread, bacon, eggs and more!] and we had so much fun cooking in the outside kitchen overlooking the valley. We were very chuffed about the fireplace in our room and the wood provided had us burning a fire every night - very romantic and cozy! The property is far enough to feel remote but close enough to all the beautiful little towns and the Hunter Valley of course! We highly recommend Lonely Goats - its a beautiful, beautiful spot!
I've celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary here with my wife and two kids. Great stay and highly recommended. It's located in the small rural town so make sure you take food etc from the shops in Cessnock.
Awesome Property, Place and People
Private and Peaceful stay at the lonely goat, we would highly recommend it for a get away from city life
Wish we could stay longer...
The absolute tranquility and comfort we were seeking! The kids thoroughly enjoyed the Yaks and the chickens at the property. Magnificent views plus the details provided at the cottage added to the total relaxation package we were after, coupled with the great wines in the hunter valley. What else could we ask for in a short weekend get-away?
