Why Lynn Clarke chose Dahlonega
Cabin is my haven when I need some ME time and to get some rest. My work is in Florida but my heart is in the North Georgia Mountains. It occurred to me that others may need the same get away that I do, so I lease the cabin when I am not using it. Once you visit I know you will fall in love with it as I have...Robert
What makes this Cabin unique
Most unique is its location. Surrounding me is pasture, lots of trees and a creek meanders down one side. In front is a small pond where you can try your hand at fishing. There is a large gray crane 'we call Henry' that hangs around pond looking for frogs. Past guest have seen deer and turkey milling around for food. In late afternoon you can enjoy a roaring fire in the pit next to the pond and try your hand at making S'mores.. When you are ready to explore, a short walk down the road will bring you to a large creek and forest service property marked with red paint. Take all the time you wish to explore and even do a little gold panning in creek.

Great place to stay
Googled cabins in Dahlonega and new from first impression this was the one. We wanted 7 nights, but only 5 available during our time frame. We wish we could have stayed 7. Cabin was clean, had everything we needed. It was very close to all the Wineries we wanted to visit. Fishing was great in the pond; I caught 2 bass and lots of bream and hooked a big bass that I reeled close enough to shore that I saw him just before it broke my line. The cabin was very private and just so enjoyable. We want to stay again, but hopefully for 7 nights.
Thank up for your review. We hope you will visit our Cabin again and so happy you enjoyed your visit.
Great little cabin in a beautiful mountain setting
Great getaway, would love to come back
We are always appreciative of our quest and thank you for taking time to let future quest know what a great place we offer.
Quiet, quaint, clean and comfortable. We will be back !!!
Loved fishing in the pond. This was a great long weekend for the family. Close to everything.
Very nice and quiet, with a comfy interior
The cabin itself is very nice and the area is quiet and secluded, which is great for a nice weekend getaway. It's close enough to several nice wineries and a couple of nice restaurants to visit, and also provides privacy for your stay.
The only thing I would recommend is to make sure you stock up on supplies (food and drink) before you get there, as the nearest grocery store is about 7 miles away on windy roads. We had a lot of rain the weekend that we visited so we weren't able to enjoy the yard much, but I think it would be VERY nice to visit when the weather is a little bit better and you can relax by the pond and stream.
Brendan thank you so much for taking the time to make a review for our future guest. If you take a left on Hwy 19 just off the cabin road, there is a small country store about 3 miles that has your basic essentials and a small eatery at Turners Corner. There is also a really nice Ingle's and a Walmart in Cleveland that is just a little longer drive but not as winding going South on Hwy 129 if coming through Dahlonega on main Hwy 19/60 tends to bother you.. You may also take the back roads down Porter Springs that take a wee bit longer but not as windy to the Dahlonega Square. I do hope you will pay us another visit and get a chance to enjoy the yard and more of the area.
Owners and I really appreciate you choosing our cabin for your getaway...
Secluded and Very Relaxing!
Exactly what my wife and I were looking for after a busy Christmas season. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Nicely decorated and very comfortable ..... very homey ..... especially nice having a fire place with the cold temperatures. Lynn, was very easy to work with and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, which included cut flowers when we arrived. Master bedroom whirlpool didn't work .... don't know if we were advised of that, but we might have been. It didn't stop us from enjoying our stay. We'll be back.
Cabin is located in beautiful northern end of Lumpkin County. Near by you can enjoy wine tasting/tours, hiking, canoeing, fishing, bike riding, arts and festivals, live theater, great places to dine, gold panning, horse back riding and much..more... Alpine Helen Georgia is approx. 15-20 minutes away as well as Cleveland Georgia home to the Cabbage Patch Kids. The area is full of wonderful shops with antiques and unique gifts not found any where else. Within 15 to 20 minutes of cabin is Historic Dahlonega Georgia which offers the best places to eat and shop. Grab your clothes and toothbrush and come relax with us...
