About the property

Lloran Log Cabins is situated in an idyllic highland setting at peaceful Robertson, with views over the escarpment and rainforest towards the South Coast. Superb views and utter peace.

Lloran Log Cabins offers four self-contained accommodation units for a minimum 2-night stay: The Log Cabin, The Bunkhouse, The Studio and Hobbit House. Each is fully equipped and set up for a weekend or longer stay. All you have to do is bring your own linen (sheets, pillow slips & towels) toiletries and food. (We can accept a single night's stay by arrangement, but may apply a cabin surcharge of up to 50%).

The cabins are set on 25 acres, of which 3 acres are lawns & garden, with terrific views of the escarpment. There is also a charming barbecue pavilion, and a tennis court for guests' use. Limited undercover parking is available.

At Lloran Log Cabins well-behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement; usually at no additional charge. We request that owners supervise their animals for the convenience of other guests, and that owners pick up an droppings (bins provided).

In winter we provide sufficient kindling & firewood to heat the cabins (BYO firelighters if required). If additional firewood is required for recreational or entertainment purposes, it is available locally at an additional charge.

Two larger cabins:

The Log Cabin allows for as many as 8 guests to be accommodated. One bedroom has a queen bed, & 2 singles in the other. The large lounge has a (double) sofa-bed and a single bed with another single trundle bed to pull out from underneath. Spacious, clean & relaxing; the lounge has a wood fire, & opens onto a veranda overlooking the lawns & gardens.

The Bunkhouse can sleep up to 11 guests. It has a queen bed in the bedroom upstairs, a queen & 4 singles on the open mezzanine, and downstairs a (double) sofa bed and a single. It is the largest cabin with a fully-equipped kitchen, a large lounge / dining area seating 8. A separate sun-room overlooks the escarpment (seats 10) and is sometimes used as a breakfast room.

Both cabins have wood fires, (gas fire alternative) free-to-air TV, DVD & VCR, and most beds have electric blankets. These spacious cabins suitable for bridal parties, family gatherings & entertaining groups.

Two smaller cabins:

The Studio accommodates as many as 5. It has a queen bed and a single in the bedroom (with electric blankets), and a double sofa-bed in the lounge. There is a shower over a bath in the bathroom, and a wood fire for heating in the lounge. Quiet & private, with great views over the escarpment.

Hobbit House has room for 4 - 5. One bedroom has a queen bed, the second small bedroom has double bunks (all with electric blankets), and the lounge has a sofa-bed suitable for children. About David & Katrina Thompson

David & Katrina Thompson.

Family has owned the property for 40 years; now managed by us.

Why David & Katrina Thompson chose Robertson

A wonderful location between the coast and the colder Southern Highlands centres of Bowral & Moss Vale. Cattle country - dairy & beef - with the highest rainfall in NSW. Rainforest country on the edge of the escarpment of Kangaroo Valley with the nationl park next door. Altitude of 650metres; cool in summer & wood fires in winter, with lovely sunny autumn days, and a green spring.

What makes this cabin unique

Beautiful garden setting, dominated by a 200m drive-way lined with old deciduous trees that turn from green to yellow & a deep burgundy before they drop in May. 2 acres of lawns & gardens, and an ideal setting for a garden party, a game of lawn footy or a wedding.

Fun & basic

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the Bunkhouse, which suited our needs perfectly. It's really basic but had plenty of space and everything we needed. It was a cold night so the log fire was a bonus!

Lloran Log Cabins - fabulous

  • 5 of 5

We loved our 2 nights stay in May. The rented 3 cabins which were perfect for our needs - 12 guests but had lots of beds spare. The grounds and amenities were just what we were looking for as we didn't want to disturb neighbors. The log cabins (although dated) were spacious and warm and each had a wood fire (wood provided). the largest cabin was used for our dinner and breakfast gatherings. heaps of crockery and glasses. Cooking became a little limited on the small stove top (one burner didn't work) but we could have used the other cabins for cooking. The beds were really comfy (you need to take your own sheets but everything else was provided in the bedrooms. there was a dvd and stereo and heaps of books. We had lots of long walks in the picturesque loaction. Our host 'David' was really helpful and then left us to our festivities. our 2 dogs were really welcome and we were able to have them secured if needed. First night dinner was in the local pub and the meal was great.

would definitely stay there again - maybe in the summer
