Fully renovated, beautifully decorated California Bungalow in central Bendigo
Why Christine Roberts chose Bendigo
At the time when we purchased Pengallie, our thoughts were that it would be the perfect home for my elderly mother. My mum had totally different ideas, so we decided to put Plan B. into swing. We love the location, so close to town, but just far away enough to miss all the traffic and night life noises. Pengallie has been a total transformation from the stumps to the new roof and everything in between. The lead light windows are a favourite of most travellers, and the surprise is the domed ceiling in the living room that is totally unexpected. We have used the best quality fittings and fixtures throughout, and whilst we still have a couple of jobs to do (new garage and carport). We are saving for these to be done.
What makes this House unique
Exuding character, Pengallie is not your average holiday home let. We have tried to make Pengallie as homely and decadent, while still having a little fun with some elements as we can.

Not long enough
The house was well maintained extremely clean and comfortable.
Enjoyed walking the neighbourhood looking at the older style houses and beautiful gardens. Felt like a local
All good. No more to say.
Comfy house in quiet location ,Christine met us on arrival and showed us through the house, which was very helpful
We had a lovely stay at this very convenient location. A brilliant cafe is literally on the corner a few footsteps away. The house is cosy, clean and very comfortable.
Great comfy cottage
Terrific location within walking distance to great cafes and shops. Pengally is a well appointed cottage, well set up for dog visitors and human visitors alike. Great beds, very comfortable. Highly recommend.
Located just far away enough from the CBD to avoid all the traffic noise, but close enough to walk to the Arts Precinct, restaurants and activities in the centre of town.
