Overview

About the property

This is a modern house with a verandah around to catch the sun all day. You can Bar-be-que on the front deck with stunning views over Frederick Henry Bay to Mount Wellington above Hobart and across the Norfolk Bay towards Port Arthur.

For a warm cosy atmosphere there's a free standing wood heater in the spacious open plan living area. The bright kitchen with window skylights has a gas stove and lots of appliances. There is a queen bed in the main and double beds in two bedrooms. Bathroom has separate toilet, shower and bath tub.

Rumpus room has 51" Plasma and Wii with assorted games, laundry, extra toilet downstairs and another BBQ area.

Things to do.

Enjoy a short stroll to the beach and corner store with takeaway food and a 3 min drive to the boat ramp. Within walking distance is the RSL club where you can relax for a cold drink and on Friday, Saturday nights and Sunday lunch have a counter meal.

The house is aprox 45 mins from Hobart CBD and 25 mins from the airport. Only a short distance drive to the historic town of Richmond, wineries, restaurants and the Port Arthur historic site.

The fishing town of Dunnalley (10 mins via the back road) has a 9 hole golf course, a beautiful pub on the water front for great meals and a fresh fish market with oysters straight from the farm or you can arrange for a fishing trip.

Don't miss the Tasman Arch, Blowhole, Devils Kitchen, Remarkable Cave, Tessellated pavement and the Tasmanian Devil park. What about an eco-cruise or a wilderness and wildlife tour. For the adventurous there's plenty of rock climbing spots.

After all that you might just want to relax at home and watch the rosellas at the bird feeder in the back yard. Keep your eyes peeled for the passing dolphins sited from the deck. You may even get to see the echidna if he/she visits during your stay.

True serenity

  • 5 of 5

Extremely comfortable and well equipped house and kitchen. The view is beautiful and we had a lovely time. An easy drive to Hobart makes the distance from the city well worth it to experience the serenity. We enjoyed the wood heater and hope to return in the future

Nice location, off the beaten track! House had spectacular views but lacked basic cooking equipment. Rooms are dated and average bedding. TV was unwatchable had to buy DVD's in Hobart to keep kids happy. Rain water only.

We loved our stay at Primrose Sands Vue. A lovely house in a great location with easy access to explore many regions of Tassie. Amazing views and loved the resident kookaburra!

Nice quiet home with nice views.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Primrose sands, nice clean home away from home with beautiful views, everything was provided and we would definetly come back. You should be prepared to use rain water as there is no water systems connected in the area which might or might not be an issue for some and careful driving at night if you don't know the roads well as there is no street lights and theres many turning points around the area otherwise it was a great place to stay. Owner communicates really well and quick. Thanks.

Wonderful Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Peaceful, thoughtfully equipped, stunning view and the resident kookaburras are a lovely treat each morning. A super clean, well appointed and relaxing place to stay and explore the Tasman Peninsula. The fire was ready for our arrival (much appreciated given the cold weather) and it kept us nice and warm. The clear sky was great for star gazing - could even see the Milky Way! Sorrel is the nearest major town for groceries and petrol. Primrose Sands General Store was handy for a quick meal and snacks. We drove from Hobart to Primrose Sands via MONA and Richmond - a nice day trip.
