About the property

Former lavender distillery fully rehabilitated in 2012

Old stone distillery of lavander fully rehabilitated in 2012, at the foot of Moure Negro, near the village, magnificent view over the Luberon, the mountains of Vaucluse, and the Alps. Large garden (more than 1000m2) with garden furniture.

Private parking

The house is 60 m2.

On the ground floor we have the living room with kitchen, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, opening onto a small courtyard and garden, living room.

On the 1st floor, we have 2 bedrooms, (bedroom 1 : 1 bed for 2 persons, bedroom 2 : twin beds for 1 person), sloping ceilings, exposed beams, a shower room with large walk-in shower and washing machine.

We are at the foot of the Luberon.

Nearby : Apt : 12 km, Saignon: 7 km, Céreste: 8 km.

Why Mme Larmet chose Castellet

Welcome! Here my father distilled lavender with his father and brothers - lavender harvested on the Luberon and lavender grown around the village. The machinery is gone, but the name stuck. The building was transformed first in a hayloft and since 2012 we have transformed it into a house.

What makes this house unique

The terrace is very pleasant and relaxing, with the sound of the nearby spring and aromatic plants (lavender, santolina, verbena).

Einfach wunderbar!

Ein wirklich wunderschön hergerichtetes Ferienhäuschen, das sehr gut ausgestattet ist. Die große Terrasse und der Garten sind ein Traum, man kann hier wunderbar entspannte Stunden verbringen. Die Straße ist kaum befahren, der ein oder andere Radler müht sich mal den Hang hinauf, was aber nicht weiter stört. In der näheren Umgebung kann man tolle Wanderungen unternehmen (z.B. direkt von Casellet auf den Mourre Nègre) oder die schönen Orte der Umgebung besichtigen. Avignon ist ebenfalls sehr gut zu erreichen (ca. 1 Std. Autofahrt).

Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt!

Rundum zufrieden!

Sehr liebevoll und geschmackvoll renoviertes kleines Haus, ideal für Paar (auch mit kleineren Kindern). Sehr gute Ausstattung, es ist an alles gedacht. Große Terrasse, einfach wunderbar. Die Straße stört nicht, ist wenig befahren, weil Castellet sehr abgelegen liegt. Wir haben einen erholsamen und entspannten Urlaub hier verbracht.

très sympa

Séjour très agréable en famille. Les enfants ont bien profité du jardin, plein de bonnes plantes sauvages comestibles et médicinales c'est mieux qu'un gazon "désertique", maison très agréable avec une belle vue pour se lever et manger sur la terrasse. Proche de Buoux pour grimper, au départ ou pas loin de de belles ballades VTT et pédestres ou pour faire des trails, la mer n'est pas si loin non plus pour une petite baignade. Bref c'est chouette et il est possible de faire pas mal de choses aux alentours. Bon séjour aux suivants et merci aux propriétaires pour leur sollicitude fort sympathique.

Schöner Aufenthalt in ruhiger Lage

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in Castellet sehr genossen. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet und ausreichend groß für zwei Personen. Das Bad ist modern, vorallendingen die Dusche und auch die Betten sind sehr bequem. Der Garten ist ein Traum, viel Platz und sehr schön bepflanzt. Die Straße ist vom Garten/Haus aus zu sehen, stört beim Schlafen aber nicht. Das einzige was fehlt sind bequeme Liegestühle.

Perfekt für selbstversorgende Wanderer

Das Ferienhaus haben wir wie beschrieben und auf den Fotos gezeigt sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet vorgefunden. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet. Zusammen mit dem Weber-Grill kann man sich hervorragend selbst versorgen. Wir haben jeden Abend im Freien in dem ruhigen Garten unser Essen genossen.

Das große Doppelbett war sehr bequem. Durch das praktische Bad mit großer Dusche haben wir uns rundum wohlgefühlt.

Der ca. 15 Autominuten entfernte Supermarkt bietet eine Riesenauswahl an Lebensmitteln und auch sonst an allem was man so braucht.

Man kann von hier aus sehr viele schöne Wanderungen machen. Es gibt aber auch viele schöne Orte, die an von hier mit dem Auto gut erreichen und besichtigen kann.

Wir würden das Haus sofort jedem weiterempfehlen, der naturnah einen ruhigen und erholsamen Urlaub in der Provence verbringen möchte.

Castellet is a village perched at the foot of the Luberon, ideal for nature lovers.

Many hiking trails and mountain biking are nearby: GR6, GR9, GR92, GR4, GR97, GR653d, GR 911, and there are also the trail around the Luberon by bike, which passes nearby, and the Via Domitia, the Calavon road bike which is at 2 km.

In July the lavender is in bloom. It is distilled in August in order to produce lavender oil. There remains one active distillery up in the village.

Other activities are close:

- The climbing site of Buoux;

- The sites of ocher: Visits of Roussillon, Rustrel or Bruoux

- Riding at 3 km.

- Swimming pool, tennis, shops, cinemas, restaurants 7 km.

Markets of Provence: my favorite is the Apt market on Saturday morning, but there is also the market of Forcalquier on Monday, Gordes on Tuesday and Sault on Wednesday that are very good.

Specialties: Apt is the world capital of candied fruits, you can find in many artisans in town, and you can visit the manufacturing plant of candied fruit Kerry - Aptunion, and its direct sales store.
