Comments received from guests:

Just a note of feedback after our stay at 18 Mile last weekend – we all had an absolute ball! The kids had some much needed space and freedom and made the most of it all. We adults also loved being there, especially the outdoor fire and chance to sit around and do very little, since the kids needed no entertainment from us! We are all keen to arrange another weekend in summer, if not before. Please pass on our thanks to Jan for having us and checking in on us when we arrived. You will be hearing from us again!

There will be many more "next times" - we just love it down there in the Lost World Valley, and had exceptionally relaxing and enjoyable time.

Great country experience

  • 4 of 5

Our group really enjoyed this property. There were beautiful views around the valley and up to the hills.

It had all of the facilities we needed and lots of little extras, like kitchen supplies, games, & firewood. The deck was our fav place to hang out, but it was also hot enough for some to enjoy the pool.

The country kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed to cook for a large group, and the common areas were big & comfy to play games or watch movies.

It even felt a bit like a farm stay when the cattle were mustered up the hill behind the property. My personal fav was the fire pit, where we could build a large campfire to sit around & watch the stars until late at night.

Perfect for a weekend break.

  • 5 of 5

A month ago we myself and 9 friends stayed at the homestead to farewell a member of our group who has now made the move to live in the UK.

The size of the house was perfect for our party. The beds were comfortable and all came with electric blankets which was much appreciated as it was chilly. Dinner and drinks were easily prepared in the large kitchen. We loved the living room with table tennis and a TV so we could watch the football at the same time. The outdoor fire was also a highlight. We were provided with ample wood to keep the fire going both nights and we enjoyed blissful mornings around the outdoor table with a BBQ breakfast.

Robyn and Jan were easy to communicate with and provided everything we could have needed. The property is so lovely, peaceful and well equipped for a short break from the city. We were all happy to have no mobile reception and just enjoy the serenity and each others company. I will definitely be enquiring to stay again in summer so we can take advantage of the pool as well!

Homely country home.

  • 4 of 5

The house is a bit dated, but suited our requirements perfectly. We had four families staying and there was ample room for everyone. We had a beautiful fire burning in the open fire place, and one in the yard in the fire pit and the kids enjoyed the creek and cows and the general farm feel of the place. We'll be back.
