Great stay at Epple House

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I were looking for some time away from the busy-ness of life and found it at Epple House. Our hosts have created quite a neat combination of privacy, comfort and rest. The accommodation was clean and the food provided with our cost was all much appreciated. Thank you very much!

A Great Place to Get Away

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I celebrated our 15th anniversary with an overnight getaway to Hermann, MO. We stayed in Epple Haus. If you are looking for privacy, Epple Haus is the house for you! Our only neighbors were cows. You take a very long gravel road to get to the house. It's such a great little house with so much history. The owners are so very nice! Rolls, cookies, and banana bread were left for us, as well as food to make breakfast the next morning. We were blessed with a very starry sky the night we stayed, and a beautiful sunrise in the morning. We will definitely be back!

Charming farmhouse overlooking rolling pasture and hills.

  • 5 of 5

The owners couldn't be more gracious or nicer. This farm has been in their family since the 1800's. Every detail thought of. Jetted tub in master bathroom. She even asked if we wanted to have smores by the fire and left us wires, chocolate and all the fixings. She makes her caramel rolls for breakfast that are wonderfully delicious. Also baked cookies and lemon bars. You will feel so cared for her, yet have complete privacy. They have a firepit down by the pond that is stocked with fish. We saw a rabbit that lives in the bushes by the front porch and enjoyed watching him come in and out to explore. The farm house we stayed in was called, Mom's place. It will bring childhood memories flooding back of your mom or grandmother's home yet has all the comforts and modern conveniences. I highly recommend and we would definitely stay again if in the area. They do farm tours also that would be fun if we get to stay longer next time. I can see how families with children or a couple wanting privacy or a romantic getaway would love this place equally. All the best to our great hosts. Be sure to read about their family history in the book on the coffee table.

Owner's Response: We always try to accommodate all of the needs of our guests. During the ten years that we have had our guest houses, we have met the most wonderful persons, many of whom have returned on a regular basis, to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. By providing complete privacy for our guests, they have the freedom to come and go as they please. We are located near many wineries and attractions in Hermann, Missouri and our properties are used many times for family reunions and girl friend get-aways.
