Overview

About the property

Extraordinary treehouse makes for extraordinary memories!

This is the ultimate treehouse experience!  Nestled high above the Carolina Jewel is the most unique and luxurious treehouse.  Custom built by quality craftsmen and artists it is unlike anything else you have ever seen.   It started out as a "tree house" and morphed into a "Tree Castle." The treehouse was built for us by the DYI Network Treehouse Guys. Pictures do not do it justice. Supported by five trees on a hillside in Reems Creek Valley, this vacation experience is one of a kind.  A short hike via a landscaped trail from the parking area will take you to the 1000 sq ft deck surrounding the tree house.  Elegant rope lighting provides soft illumination as you watch the sunset in the rocking chairs.

Inside, the cozy house has all the amenities you could desire, HVAC, high speed Wi-Fi, gas log fire place, gourmet kitchen, two full bathrooms with heated tile floors... but wait!  There's more!  Outside on the deck is an outdoor shower with endless, yes endless, hot water!!

Each season is different in the treehouse; the winter views are open and you can see the mountain ridge. The summer is surrounded by leaves and birds with just glimpses of the surrounding mountains. In the spring time you can watch the mountains "green up" as the leaves start coming out in the valley and work their way up to the mountain tops. Fall is a kaleidoscope of colors.

Close by are fantastic restaurants in Weaverville and Asheville, or if you prefer, we recommended a private chef to come to the tree house and prepare meals for you. There are many activities in the area should you wish to leave the treehouse. Downtown Asheville has many shops and galleries, breweries and restaurants. The Blue Ridge Parkway is 5 miles from the Carolina Jewel with its miles and miles of scenic views and hikes. Zipline tours or floating down the river in a tube are popular attractions.

Your host, Eva and Michael, will be happy to make recommendations based on your interest. Don’t wait to book your magical escape!

About Eva Greene

Michael and Eva are Asheville natives and couldn't be happier to call Asheville home. They purchased the old farmhouse and cottage and transformed it in the "Carolina Jewel" . Fast forward a couple of years and the dream of building a treehouse became reality.

Eva Greene purchased this cottage in 2016

Why Eva Greene chose Weaverville

This property is located in one of the most beautiful valleys in North Carolina. The stream that runs at the bottom of the hills is music to my ears! In addition, the birds are amazing! Have you ever listened to the sound of a wood thrush? It is mystical and enchanting, usually only singing in the late summer afternoon.

What makes this cottage unique

The unique feeling of being supported and surrounded by the trees and then by the mountains is magical. The Treehouse is build of quality materials and is a masterpiece of artistic design and skilled ability. Unique designs from nature are incorporated at every angle.

The fully equipped kitchen, complete with chef's knives and copper cookware, will delight every gourmet cook. The non-cooks will be glad to grill on the gas grill on the deck or use the micro -wave.

No window treatments to block the view. Out of the windows each of the four seasons can be observed.

Winter - the forest has a fresh coat of leaves carpeting her floor. The long range views are specular with the mountains turning a beautiful pink to purple as the sunset reflects against the trees.

Spring - the mountains "green up" as the days grow longer. In the warmer valley the leaves come out first, then you can watch every day as the mountains green up!

Summer - Thick green leaves. We have more varieties of trees than anywhere outside of the Amazon!

Fall - Specular. Colors, colors, colors. Cool nights and warm days. Fabulous.

My wife and I visited the Treehouse for our 1 Year Anniversary.  When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the owners to show us the unique and upscale features this treehouse offered.    We immediately recognized the passion for every unique detail they had incorporated into this build.  The structure and architectural design was merely amazing.  Every room we walked into took our focus and we were intrigued with every single unique aspect about it.    This was the perfect selection for a quiet get away in the mountains with the amenities we are used to at our own home.  From heated tile floors, Wifi, upscale appliances, gas grill, and very nice cook / tableware; we had everything we could ask for.  I would highly recommend this to everyone looking for a very exclusive get-away and we will definitely be back in the future!

Highlight of Our Vacation

  • 5 of 5

This tree house is amazing. The attention to detail was evident from the tiniest ....(makeup remover cloths) to the most obvious.... (adjustable bed with massage). Eva and Michael have thought of everything, and that is just comfort, now on to the design.... Unique, luxurious, and Eco-friendly, the Treehouse is stunning. It brought out the kid in you AND restored the adult soul at the same time. We've stayed in many beautiful places but this one was truly memorable. Do not hesitate to stay there if you are lucky enough to find availability on your dates!!!

We spent two magical nights at the Treehouse. It is the coolest place with such attention to detail! Every nook has some nice feature. We especially loved the woodworking and the outdoor shower! Highly recommend it.

Amazing place!!!

  • 5 of 5

We recently got married on the main property where the family stayed and chose to stay in the treehouse over the weekend. The craftsmanship is absolutely amazing and the view breathtaking. The builder thought about the smallest details, we were constantly giving wedding guests the tour. Eva and Michael are the greatest hosts and made us feel at home, we will definitely be back for anniversaries!

Awesome treehouse!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and pups stayed at Carolina Jewel for three nights this past weekend. The house is amazing and such thought has gone into every detail. I expected the treehouse to be structurally sound and thoughtfully executed as we’ve spent numerous hours watching Treehouse Masters. What surprised me the most was the attention to detail, interiorly. The dishwasher is Bosch, the bathroom floors are heated, the cutlery, pots and pans and glassware were of higher caliber than most rentals...none of which were lost on us. Eva was a gracious host and we could not have had a better adventure. Two things to mention in full disclosure. 1. You can hear the traffic from the street below which at times can be kind of loud. 2. As mentioned in the ad there are no window treatments so if you are not an early riser and need it to be dark in order to sleep late, this may not be the place for you. However, neither of these things detracted from our experience. I would recommend this place to anyone.
