Just beautiful

Apart from being the perfect location to explore Port Douglas, this property is awesome. Beautifully decorated, it was a pleasure to stay in this oasis.

No need for a car as simply a stroll away to Macrossan Street and the Marina.

Enjoyed our stay ... But.

We enjoyed our stay at Hibiscus number 9, the property is very centrally located so we could walk to all the restaurants and eateries of McCrossan Street. The pool area is really lush and a terrific place to unwind.

Now the but, the whole place has not kept up the maintanence and while we were there the pool inspector called a number of time to check the security of the poll


Our unit was comfortable and really nicely decorated with some very nice additions however again the maintanence was a bit lacking.

Owner's Response: Hello Paul, Thank you for your comments. Can you tell me if you were referring to the maintenance of the external outdoor areas or are you suggesting the apartment itself was lacking in maintenance as we have just finished refurbishing? The resort has just recently gone through a change of management who are now trying to bring the grounds up to standard following previous bad management. Also legislation laws constantly change to ensure pools are kept safe at all times so the fact that the pool inspectors were there is a good thing. It happens to all the resorts. Please let me know what you felt was lacking in the apartment as your feedback is important to us in order to maintain the standard we pride ourselves on. Unfortunately any mishaps that occur generally present themselves when someone is staying in the apartment, never when it is empty, no matter how much we inspect prior to guests arriving. The apartment is lovely, well appointed and comfortable. The private balcony looks over the pool, which is a really nice area. Excellent location, easy walk to shops, beach and wharf. Definitely reccommend.
