Everything we wanted
The property was exactly as advertised. The house was clean and very well equipped. Stunning views of the lake was definitely a highlight.
Ideal house for large groups and would definitely stay again.
House for a large group, with amazing views
Our group of 6 adults & 8 kids stayed 4 nights at The Point. The house was spacious enough for our large group. The views from the kitchen, lounge & bedrooms are incredible. The house is spacious and light filled. The fireplace and underfloor heating were great and kept us warm even though it was very cold & windy outside. It was a very reasonable distance to drive to town and to the ski fields. Our only minor were a lack of toilet paper (only 1 roll in each bathroom), 2 bedside lamps not working, & being told the incorrect coffee pods required, so we were unable to make coffee.
Hi Michelle Sorry about the pods - The pod machine you had was the same one I have used for 12 months and I have always bought my pods from Woollies- which is what i did tell you. so not sure about that one. Lamps not working-Please call if that's the case next time- my caretaker is an electrician and responds to light globe issues mostly with in 30 mins. Toilet paper -I always thought the cleaners left multiple rolls - will talk to them and make sure it does not happen again Thank you for your comments
Very beautiful home, very clean, view is amazing from every room. Very warm house during winter stay. Everything is nicely set
We had the best stay for three families and the children were having the best time of fun, its highly recomended for families with vhildren to stay at the point. Very nice view to the lake from every room.
We just spent 5 nights for our group of 4 families- 13 people including 8 adults.
Thanks Brendan and Kim we throughly enjoyed our stay including our special visit from Axel the staffy next door (as we have a staffy). A couple of friends visited for a drink and dinner whilst we were their and they are also keen to book for their group/family.
So overall what we loved:-
- it was great to have 2 lounge and dining area's to accommodate the adults and kids separate at times
- we also all loved the open plan for the large kitchen so we could all mingle in the evenings whilst cooking dinner
-the drying room and garage area is great for all the excess skiing stuff
- my husband and I were also lucky enough to get the main bedroom so we enjoyed the views over the lake in the evening and early morning. Whilst the kids enjoyed watching movies on our bed and the spa bath in the evenings
-our homemade jam and bottle of wine as a gift
-the relaxed atmosphere of the area
This place would be amazing to in summer when you can use the verandah for a BBQ.
Thanks for having us :-)
