Enjoy wonderful views over the rolling hills of Robertson. Relax in the sunroom or on the deck and listen to the birds.
The Retreat is a large four bedroom, 2 bathroom house set on 7 acres on the outskirts of Robertson. The house provides an ideal location to get away from it all, but is still within walking distance of Robertson village.
Suitable for couples, families or groups of friends, The Retreat has 2 bedrooms with a queen bed in each and 2 bedrooms with two single beds in each. There are several lounge/sunroom areas, a large outdoor deck with gas BBQ and a mixture of open paddocks, rainforest, garden and woodland.
Autumn and Winter provide many beautiful clear days and cool nights. The house is heated by a slow combustion fire (firewood provided), reverse cycle air conditioner and oil heater. Electric blankets, blankets and doonas are provided on all beds. Throws are provided in the lounge/sunroom areas for curling up on the sofas.
The house has a well equipped kitchen with a large Ilve oven (gas cooktop and electric oven), dishwasher, microwave and range of cooking utensils.
The garden is planted with established deciduous and evergreen trees, naturalised daffodils and other bulbs in the lawn area and a large garden bed providing seasonal flowering plants.
There are two birdbaths in the garden that attract many native birds in the surrounding area. Birdseed is provided for feeding. There are numerous wombat holes (and wombats), rabbits and the occasional kangaroo.
A large bookshelf contains hundreds of books, board games for adults and children and children's toys. In the lounge room there is a selection of DVD's and a stereo. I-pod docking stations can be found in the kitchen area and one bedroom.
A relaxing, peaceful setting and the perfect location from which to explore the Southern Highlands. We are always happy to recommend restaurants, things to do and places to see nearby.
Due to the wildlife, The Retreat is not suitable for pets. We also have a no smoking policy inside the house.

Cheerful Service For a Spacious Country Retreat
Beforehand and afterwards, Tim went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. A well-equipped kitchen alongside toys, games and a sizeable DVD/PS2 collection catered well for our two families (including four children).
Plenty of firewood for toasting ourselves and marshmallows, as well as birdseed for the bird feeders to attract some colourful guests. Perhaps a highchair and a bath for babies/toddlers would make it even more family-friendly, and heaters for the bedrooms - but the electric blankets provided a cosy welcome to bed!
The views of the lush highlands also helped with relaxing, and the ample grounds - blessed as we were with sunshine - opportunities for adventures.
Superbly set up southern highlands retreat
My wife, 2 year old girl and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Retreat. Cosy despite its size (would easily fit 2 couples with 2 kids each) the house itself is perfectly set up and located for a relaxing stay. It has everything one needs by way of facilities and staples (and entertainment) to stay perfectly happily in the house - which is surrounded by plenty of lawn and deciduous trees much visited by all types of bird life. While substantially secluded the property is also located within easy reach of Robertson itself (try the pizza shop!) and a short drive from all of the Southern Highlands' various attractions (our favourite was the Burrawang Pub). I would very much recommend the Retreat, and thank Tim for so thoughtfully having set the place up for us.
My husband and I had a rare opportunity for a break without the kids and we were looking for a place to hide away for a few days and regroup. The Retreat was the perfect place for it - so peaceful and refreshing. It was like staying in a friend's house, everything outfitted to a very high standard and so many extra little touches. The photos really don't do justice to the place, and the surrounding countryside is absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended!
Hi Ruth Thank you very much for your wonderful review. We're very glad you and your husband enjoyed your stay with us. Regards Kim and Tim Delaney
Wonderful property - wonderful location
We spent a wonderful weekend at the Retreat. The property is really beautiful; it's a wonderland for children and a relaxing haven for adults. Our sons spent hours exploring outside and loved watching the rosellas on the deck. The house was incredibly comfortable and it felt a million miles away from the stress of city life. We couldn't have asked for more.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Retreat at Robertson. The house was well stocked, clean and beautifully maintained. The selection of toys and board games were a hit with the kids and there was plenty of space for us to relax in.
The owners were also very responsive when we asked questions and had left very clear instructions on the property. All in all, would highly recommend this property.
We really enjoyed our second stay at The Retreat. The house is very clean and well-equipped and in a delightful location.
