Excellent property and location

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing time at Forest Waters. My Sister and i took our kids (ages 7, 8, 8 and 12) during the September holidays. It was a bit chilly but the house heated up lovely with the gas heater. The house is situated on the edge of a little inlet, so our kids kayaked (kayaks provided by owners) up the inlet which ended about 100m upstream. Hence they could kayak safely without going into the open water with the current. We also fished in front of the house and caught a whiting and about a 1 minute walk from the house is also another fishing spot out on to the river, where we caught good sized black bream. The kids were able to ride their bikes around safely, and apart from the kids, it was very quiet and peaceful. Thank you Forest Waters :)

The place to stay on Molloy

  • 5 of 5

We had heard lots about Molloy from a friend who owns a property on the island so we decided we should visit. We are originally from Sydney so we didn't know much about the island. We soon learnt that we were not alone there as half of the population of WA have never heard of it. Molloy Island is just 15 minutes drive from Augusta and half an hour from Margaret River. The island is a private island and only guest who stay on the island can use the vehicle ferry which runs on the hour from 8am until 5pm. We were so pleasantly surprised on arrival to the holiday house in Flora Grove called Forest Waters. Honestly, this property is probably one of the most well equipped holiday homes that we have ever stayed in. Forest Waters is ideal for families. It has 3 bedrooms + a study and sleeps 8. The kitchen is so well equipped with good quality items and even has a dishwasher. There's a washing machine and dryer in the laundry should you feel the need to do washing on your holiday. The island is so peacefully quiet and the balcony is a great place to sit and enjoy the serenity. In the mornings we were visited by the local wildlife including the beautiful blue wrens that come so close to you and the resident kangaroos. There's plenty to do on the island including bush walking, kayaking and fishing. We enjoyed being able to have our boat tied up outside the property so we were able to just get in and leave from the bank. There are many picnic spots on the island if you have a boat to go exploring. The only thing that the property would benefit from is television reception by way of satellite. It currently has only one cord going to the TV for DVDs (some of which are supplied by the owners), so we were unable to catch the nightly news. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Molloy Island and we will certainly be back again in the future.

Fabulous Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely weekend of quiet and peacefulness. No tv or noisy neighbours, cars etc. The house had all that we could wish for and friendly lizards and ducks came and introduced themselves. Kayaking on river and having a relaxing wine on the deck was the order for the weekend.
