|Minimum Stay||4 - 7 nights|
Our spacious 1 bedroom condo includes the use of our car for no additional cost. The bedroom has a king size bed, and the couch is also a hide-a-bed. Take a leisurely stroll down to the deserted beach only a few minutes away, or lounge on the private lanai. The large pool and hot tub are in a gorgeous setting for your enjoyment.
Our condo sits only a few minute walk from the beach. Comfortable and spacious, it is private and yet close to everything. Free High speed wireless internet is included.
The unit is on the upper floor and has a private lanai. Enjoy sleeping with the back doors open letting the cooling Hawaiian trade winds blow through.
The bedroom looks out on the native Hawaiian countryside, and only a few steps out the front door is the condo recreation area. A beautiful pool and hot tub are surrounded by palm trees and flowering bushes. Two tennis courts, and a barbecue area are available right there as well.
Our condo is not the fanciest condo you will find, but it is very functional and comfortable. We love it, and our goal is for our guests to as well. The furniture and King size bed are new, and the bathroom has been remodeled recently. The kitchen is simple, but fully stocked.
Guests have access to the entire 1 bedroom condo, the pool, hot tub, tennis courts and barbecue area.
Molokai is known by many to be the most Hawaiian of all the islands. There is much to see and do across the whole island. You can keep yourself busy seeing all there is to see on the island, or you can relax on the beach without seeing another person all day. If you would like more information on what to do while you are here, be sure to let us know.
Our car is available to use for free with the condo. The car is a full size sedan, and works fine. It's not new, but will get you around the island with plenty of room for 4 people and luggage, or other items. The car stays at the condo complex, so you will need to take either a taxi, or the bus from the airport to the condo complex. The taxi is by far the easiest. Just Google Molokai taxi.
We try to keep the following things in the condo, and functional at all times:
Coffee Maker, Blender, Toaster, Beach Towels, Cooler, Beach chairs, Iron and Ironing board, tennis rackets, blow dryer.
Please respect our condo and treat is as you would your own. Children are welcome. No smoking is allowed. No pets allowed. We have a minimum of a 4 night stay, and a maximum of 4 guests in the condo.
I love traveling and especially love Hawaii. Molokai is a unique, quiet, laid back island that suits us very well.
Patti Fackrell purchased this condo in 2006
My family traveled to Hawaii for the first time in 1998. We fell in love with the islands and have been back to visit many times. We decided that Molokai was our favorite island because it is very quiet and laid back. We wanted a place to stay and something that we could share with others who would feel the same way that we did about the island of Molokai.
Our condo is completely private from the other units. From our back lanai, we cannot see any other units nor can they see ours. There is a beautiful pool and hot tub right out the front door and the only tennis courts in the area are next to the pool. There are three beaches within a five minute walk that are empty most of the time, all year long. Watching whales in the winter and sunsets all year long are right out the back door of the condo.
We arrived Friday night about 6 pm, we had arranged a cab from the airport. The owner advised us that there was a slow leak in the car tire, however, it was flat so couldn't go get groceries. Used portable pump next day got to town to a garage and got it pumped but no one works the weekend, so couldn't get it fixed until Monday. As they said in the add the car is not fancy, but does get you around. The condo is fine but the bathroom floors, carpets and kitchen
show there age. The day before we left I went to do laundry but the washing machine wouldn't work, the knob came
off in my hand. We had been to all the other islands numerous times but never Molokai so thought we would give it a try, we knew it was quiet and not commercialized, however, it was a little to remote. The condo is 20 miles, 1/2
hour drive from town and restaurants, there is no where to eat close to the condo, which is fine if you like to cook on your holidays. We unfortunately didn't get the best of weather, windy and rain, but so did the rest of Hawaii.
The pool area was close to the condo and was very nice. The local people were very friendly and helpful, especially enjoyed the bakery food. We also liked Molokai Burger and the pizza place beside it, they had a variety of foods not just burgers and pizza. We probably would not return to Molokai.
The condo we stayed in was perfect for us; close to the tennis courts & pool, & short walk to a beautiful beach. It was beautifully furnished & although it was warm outside, the fans & trade winds helped keep it very comfortable. The added car was a plus for driving into town but we didn't feel it was in good enough condition to drive safely into the Halawa Valley (fortunately we were able to borrow someone else's car) with the curvy roads & isolated area. The kitchen was well equipped but only had a few condiments. The condo was satisfactorily clean although there were a few ants. AT & T coverage was limited & there wasn't a land line, although it was listed as one of the amenities. Although it was inconvenient, we managed without it. Only suggestion to owners would be to provide a CD player with music CDs. We definitely recommend this condo for your get away with few tourists, no high rises, with beautiful surroundings!!
These condos are in kepuhi bay area, which is about half an hour drive from kaunakakai harbor. The location is beautiful and the condo was very well equipped, clean and very well maintained. A car was provided with the condo and that is a big plus in Molokai. The owners were very thoughful, they had no issues with early check in and late check-out. I highly recommend this property to anyone flying into Molokai and will stay here when I visit Molokai again.
This was our third stay at Ke Nani Kai, and we would happily go back to this unit. It is very comfortable and well-equipped. The use of the car saved us quite a lot, and was the icing on the cake.
Our family of 4 stayed here for 2 weeks. The condo is very well equipped as well as the association grounds. The huge bonus is use of the car, we ran in to quite a few people that were unable to rent cars as there are a limited amount on the island. We really enjoyed the tennis courts, pool (a little chilly), hot tub and grills. Everything is exactly as described.
Molokai is not for everyone but we truly enjoyed our time on the island. The owner is very quick to respond and helpful with any questions.
My wife and I spent nine nights in this condo from October 1st to October 10th. It is located in a very quiet and remote complex on the west side of the island. We have never been to Moloka'i, so we had no expectations. The unit is as described. Some of the kitchen items need to be replaced. Upon our arrival we found a dead bug on the floor and the lanai furniture was stacked and quite dirty. I contacted the owner just to let her know. She said the condo is cleaned after a departure. I would suggest that it be checked prior to an arrival. The unit was overall very clean, but the dead bug and spots on the countertop could easily have been dealt with by a quick lookover prior to our arrival. The rental car inclusion is awesome, just be sure to confirm at least twice with taxi service. The airport is small and taxis do not stand by waiting for fares. We thought we had arranged for a ride, but never it showed. We were forced to rent a compact car for one day to get us the 15 miles to condo for $77.00. There is a bus service, but no one seemed to have the details of stops and times.
The unit is quite spacious for two adults. I think it could be a bit awkward for two couples as the bedroom is only separated from living space by sliding wooden doors. However, for a family of four or four singles it would be fine. If looking for an upscale resort, this is not the place for you. The staff and year-round residents are friendly and helpful. The car is an asset and so reasonable. The complex pool is awesome, breezy, clean and quiet. If you are looking for a stay with little to do, but relax this is the island and place for you. Do not expect any fine dining or tons of activities to do while here. Enjoy the peace and quiet. We did take the Father Damien Tour down to Kalaupapa. It was amazing! We took the small plane from topside down to the peninsula, a 10 minute trip. Well worth the price!!!
We will be back to Moloka'i, but for a shorter stay. We prefer dining out some evenings, and it is tough with so few dining establishments nearby with evening hours. The complex does have bbq' grills which were never busy.
Papohaku Beach(Molokai's 3 mile white-sand beach) and many other beautiful beaches within a very short distance
