Great place, great value and easy to get everywhere in San Francisco

  • 5 of 5

Kate was super with her communications ! We found the rental unit to be very clean and more spacious that what we expected for San Francisco. The location was great and we easily got to all the major sites by using bus, trolleys or uber. Everything you need is here and nice to have use of a washer and dryer as well. Would stay here again and will recommend this friends!

A great place to stay in San Francisco

  • 5 of 5

We arrived at the rental after a long drive down the coast from Eureka, the end of which was through gridlocked streets in the CBD where we had to return our hire car, to this quiet oasis. Kate heard us arriving and quickly made us feel at home, explaining everything we asked about and then helping us contact our next host in Chicago as we had been unable to do so.

The apartment is exactly as described in the listing, was clean and well maintained and every appliance and fitting worked as it should.

The apartment is located in a pleasant suburb, very quiet and safe, and has several options for transport - we used buses to (easily) reach the Golden Gate Bridge, the ferry terminal for Alcatraz, the Cbd and Fishermans Wharf amongst other destinations.

There is a market for all supplies 5 mins. walk away and a variety of restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance.

We enjoyed our stay with Kate very much and thoroughly recommend it as a wonderful place to stay.

Prime Location and Amenities

  • 5 of 5

This location is just the right level of worry free, safety and walking distance to most of the major non-touristy locations like haight street, golden gate park, and the western addition district. If touristy is more your thing, super low UBER fees to anywhere you want.

The property itself is well maintained, comfy, and has everything you would want when you are away from home, giving you the versatility to stay in or eat out or whatever your whim is at the moment. Would recommend and will stay again if in the area.

Thanks Kate for the recommendation on Pelician Inn near muir woods, great pub atmosphere and perfect spot for our vacation (yay old worlde feels).

Owner's Response: So glad you liked the Pelican Inn. Last weekend there was a huge spread on places to go in Marin County and there was a full page photo of PI. It was a pleasure to host you!

Great Location

  • 5 of 5

Location could not have been any better; within walking distance of numerous restaurants, stores, etc. The studio was perfect for our stay, especially for the price. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything you need for your Northern California visit!

  • 5 of 5

This is a perfect little studio apartment, all you'll need for your visit. It is centrally located, close to everything and has shopping and restaurant options nearby. The description of this listing on Homeaway/VRBO matches the unit exactly. It was clean, comfortable and well maintained.

Shuttle/Uber drivers don't seem to know the street name, but when you give them the cross streets or tell them that it's near the university - they know exactly where to go. (Kate took the time to let me know about this beforehand so I was not caught off guard by it)

Kate is extremely welcoming and helpful. She has a binder in the unit with shopping and restaurant suggestions and directions.

I would absolutely book here again!

Just what we were looking for

  • 4 of 5

Kate's home was perfect for our family of four's 3 night stay in San Fran. For the same price, we would have gotten a basic motel room, and instead we got a centrally located home with kitchen and bath (and awesome towels). There wasn't a ton of space, but it was exactly what we expected from the photos, and we were out most of the time anyway - still, it was great having a place to make breakfast in the morning and the odd dinner too. The kitchen was fully functional with everything we needed; agaiin, a little cramped to eat in, but we expected that. We had no issues with finding street parking, and Kate gave precise instructions on local rules. The tip about the 2 hour parking window in reality starting at different times than posted was extremely helpful. The location allowed us to get to all the places we wanted to with ease.

Thanks Kate for opening up your place - if we are in SF again, we'll definitely come back.
