About the property

This sunny family home is located in a quiet tree lined street, yet it is only a short stroll to Manly beach, Manly's numerous cafes and shops, Manly public swimming pool, tennis courts, parks with playgrounds, golf course, Sydney harbour and the ferry to the city.

With lots of character, the property itself dates from the early 1900's and has been extensively restored to provide all of the modern conveniences, whilst retaining many original features such as open fireplaces, lead light windows, 10 feet decorative plaster ceilings and polished timber floors. The rear of the house has been designed to take full advantage of its north facing aspect, with a largely glass rear wall. Patio doors open onto a full width partly covered deck, ideal for outdoor living. Upstairs bedrooms have large north facing windows.

The property is on two levels and sleeps up to 8 people in 4 generously sized bedrooms. Downstairs there is a fully equiped open plan kitchen, dining and casual living areas, a formal lounge with fireplace, a period style bathroom and 1 king bedded and 1 queen bedded bedrooms with built-in wardrobes. Upstairs there is one queen bedded and one king bedded bedroom (can be made into 2 single beds) with built-in wardrobes and a second bathroom. The property also has a laundry with washer, dryer, iron and ironing board, and a safe, fully enclosed, back garden with outdoor shower and BBQ facilities.

The house is centrally heated and a high-chair and/or cot are available on request.

There is undercover off-street car parking.

Great holiday home for 3 generations!

Our family of 3 couples and 4 children stayed at this property for a one week holiday and it was excellent! Great location close to the beach, cafes and public transport. The home is spacious and extremely well equipped, with a good sized enclosed backyard for the children and ample parking for our 3 cars. The house is very well maintained with high quality fixtures and appliances and the comfortable beds were an added bonus! Highly recommended!

Amazing!

We stayed here with friends for my husbands 50th and it was amazing. The location, style of house, suitability, the kitchen and outdoor entertaining area was what made this place such a winner. We would highly recommend this place.

Fabulous place to stay

We felt completely at home here, elegant but so comfortable, lovely safe area for little ones to play, lovely kitchen area for the cook and everything we needed. So close to the beach, great supplies from Harris Markets, great breakfasts nearby (do try the Troubadour at the end of the street!) and public transport. We were a three gen family group, had the best time, would definitely return.

Great family stay

Three generations of us stayed here for two weeks for a family wedding. The house is ideal for a family and the decking area and large garden added extra space, especially for the young children to play safely in. The house, and in particular the kitchen, is well equipped - it has everything you could need for an extended stay. The location is ideal, in a quiet street, but only a short walk from the nearest beach – especially good with small children. We couldn’t have chosen a better place.
