Beautiful apartment

Location, comfort and cleanliness were fantastic, views from balcony were amazing. The dishwasher was broken, but we notified the owner, so I am sure it would have been attended to immediately. The view in photo is exactly how it is. Would love to stay again. No need to drive anywhere, lots of restaurants, supermarket and short stroll to beautiful beach and the swimming pool was just beautiful. Great value for our 2 night stay

What A Nightmare!

After staying at this property a few months back and not having a working bath for our toddler, we though we would try our luck again (as we loved the location) and book a repeat stay during October. Well, we were faced with more maintenance issues again. This air conditioning. How did we find out? A note left on the kitchen bench advising there would be no air conditioning for our stay. It was shocking that the owner did not contact us prior to our stay (in very hot conditions, plus most of the doors and windows are fixed shut, so there is poor ventilation in the room). After contacting the owner the only alternative I was given was to leave the accommodation the following day and receive a refund (after taking leave, organising pet sitters etc). I still have not heard back from the owner to offer any other apologies or compensation. To top it off, there was a half used bottle of moisturiser in the bathroom and a number of lights not working near the entry. This unit needs some serious maintenance. Next time I'll book directly through Mantra, at least they could change our room without fuss if there were any issues and be far more accommodating than this unit/owner. Never again!!!

Owner's Response: I very rarely reply to clients comments as it is usually all good, good, good. But in this case, I'm compelled to respond due to the false and malicious comments being made. Yes, the air con failed on the day of arrival, I was told it can't be 'repaired' but a new one has to go in. It doesn't belong to me, it belongs to SALT, so I have to work with them in their time frame to fix it. So, can we have a new one fitted over the weekend ? - 'Nope - our technicians don't work over the weekend'. Offer 1 . Sorry for the inconvenience, would you like a nights FREE accommodation - DECLINED by customer. Offer 2 . Sorry for the inconvenience, would you like a FULL REFUND - DECLINED by customer. Offer 3. OK, What would you like me to do for you ?....'nothing I just want to complain'. Please note - If you make a booking and don't declare that there are children staying with you - its a weird form of stealing. Also it breaks the fire regulations of the building and management. - All simply because you don't want to pay. You give me ONE Star for Cleanliness,Comfort and Quality....BUT YOU'VE STAYED HERE BEFORE !! You're making yourself look slightly silly and its (all) a touch hypocritical. It was a nightmare ?!! - You're not kidding.

Nice Weekend Getaway

We love Salt and all it has to offer, the apartment is a great locations. Close to great restaurants, coffee shops, parks and the beach.

This property is really great value for money, it's great to have a fridge, microwave and full bath when you are travelling with a baby. You can park your car for your stay and walk everywhere if you want to. A really lovely and relaxing weekend away. The owner and care taker were lovely and answered any of my questions.

Comfortable apartment and well presented.

The only issue was the lack of co ordination between owner and stayz. Email notification advised that the owner was to provide access to property details prior to arrival time. Despite leaving message assess to the apartment was only gained thanks to the extremely helpful service of the cleaner.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the feedback. - I don't usually comment on cases but in this case it's warranted. Yes it's true we had some communication problems. The client requested the apartment the day before arrival, confirmation was sent the same day - awaiting payment to clear before PIN issued for the apartment. Payment clears, emails with info sent in the usual way - but somehow, somewhere they went astray. Discussed cases with Stayz but situation still remains unclear. Bottom line is - If you leave the booking till the last minute, then I have to stay very close to the client to ensure all goes through in a correct and timely manner. Lessons have been learnt.
