About the property

City center location - walk to all attractions but stay in a local neighborhood

Our modern 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom apartment is furnished and decorated to a high standard and will make a very comfortable base for your visit. Located in Tollcross, just on the edge of the Old Town and easy walking distance of the centre, this is an ideal place to stay when visiting Edinburgh.

The apartment is just off Lothian Road where you will find a wide selection of cafes, bars, restaurants, pubs and bistros – something for everyone. A choice of grocery stores, local shops (including a traditional butchers), wine store and French Delicatessen are just around the corner. This is also an ideal location for anyone with business in the city’s financial district, visiting the Edinburgh International Conference Centre or visiting Edinburgh University.

The lounge/dining room/kitchen area is bright and with wood floors. Their is comfortable sofa seating for 4. The dining area has a table and chairs for 4 and is adjacent to the fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen has a gas range, oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washer - all that you will need to make life easy while on vacation.

Bedroom 1 has an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath tub. The bathroom is fully tiled and has a heated towel rail and shaver point and comes with luxury towels. The bed is a double size with luxury linens. Built in closets provide ample storage for all your belongings. This room overlooks the garden courtyard behind the property and has a small balcony.

Bedroom 2 has a King bed (US Queen) with luxury linens and also overlooks the garden courtyard. A fully tiled Shower Room is accessed off the hallway. Again with a heated towel rail, shaver point and comes with luxury towels.

There is an allocated underground parking space, which in Edinburgh is a huge bonus. Access to the Western Approach Road for an easy way in/out of Edinburgh is just off Lothian Road and allows you to be at the airport in less than ½ hour.

Access to the local bus system is just round the corner from the apartment. This is a wonderful way of getting around Edinburgh - you would expect a bus to Princes Street within 5 minutes (there is even an iPhone App to give the real time position of the buses!). Haymarket train station is a 15 minute walk or a very short 5 minute taxi ride away. Waverley Station is a 25 minute walk or 8 minutes by taxi. Edinburgh airport is less than 7 miles from the apartment.

A wonderful apartment for a stay in Edinburgh.

This apartment is exactly as shown on the website. Easy walk to Edinburgh castle and the Royal Mile, great restaurants off the touristy path within easy walking distance. Very comfortable and quiet, everything needed for an apartment stay is provided and the people managing the apartment are very responsive and make it simple to gain access to the apartment and garage (if you have a car). Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend it!

This apartment is ideal - great location, extremely comfortable with useful, high quality amenities.

We had a delightful stay in Edinburgh and much of it was due to this apartment. It met all of our needs perfectly, providing us with plenty of private and family space as well as easy access to all areas of the city. We walked almost everywhere, but there are ample bus lines nearby if desired. There are also convenient grocery stores and a variety of eating out opportunities within a short distance from the apartment. We will definitely try to stay here again when we return.

All the amenities of home...

We stayed at Andrew's Tollcross flat for 3 nights in early August and couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. On arrival, Karen (the property manager) took all the time necessary to show us around and get us settled in. The flat wanted for nothing...all the amenities of home were there. The flat was very clean, the beds comfy, and there is plenty of space to "stretch out".

The location in within a reasonable walking distance to the main parts of Old Edinburgh, and even New Town was not that far away.

All in all, a great find in Edinburgh.

Beautiful apartment in a great location

My wife, two daughters (age 13 and 17) and I stayed at this apartment for 3 nights in July. This beautiful (and beautifully maintained) apartment was perfect for our needs. Very well furnished with a brilliantly equipped kitchen, this was the ideal base for our all too short stay in Edinburgh.

Walking distance to tons of terrific restaurants - we tried sushi at Harajuku Kitchen, tapas at El Quijote and Indian at Tuk Tuk Indian Street food and all three were excellent.

The only annoyance was a particularly noisy gull that had much to say in the wee hours of the morning but can't fault the apartment for that! All in all, we would love to come back to Edinburgh and we would most certainly stay at one of the Paxton family's apartments!

We bought this apartment after months of watching the Edinburgh market. We loved the proximity to the city and the fact that it is modern so everything works and is efficient. Having an allocated parking space and elevator is a real bonus.

What makes this apartment unique

We aim to provide the best Scottish Hospitality Edinburgh can offer and want it to be a home from home (although we know it is much smaller than American standards). It will have everything you need to make your stay very comfortable.

We were met by the manager of the property who was very friendly and welcoming. The property is very clean, well presented and a true reflection of the photos. It is also very well located within the city making it easy to walk anywhere. We really enjoyed our stay.
