Guestbook comments from the manager

Great cabin in the woods! Much different than where we live in South Florida. We loved the view, cozy décor and the movie selection. The cabin had everything our family needed. The weather was great (a little hot). We so enjoyed eating the blackberries down the driveway. Thanks for the use of your cabin and will return.

An Amazing Piece of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

I am very late in writing this review, but I just wanted to say that we are still talking about the vacation we had at your beautiful mountain home last summer (July 2015). The photos do not even do it justice as it is even better than the pictures. I could have lived on the porch the whole week just gazing out at the treetops and the mountains in the distance.

Both of our college age children joined us on the trip and we had a great time teaming up for some challenging pool tournaments!

The inside atmosphere was so homey and inviting that I felt as though we lived there. Everything was clean and tidy and there wasn't anything we needed that wasn't provided. It was close to the Biltmore and white water rafting, both of which we spent time enjoying.

Having a garage to park in was also such an added luxury.

Thank you so much for sharing your piece of heaven with us! We enjoyed every minute of it. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a mountain home to unwind and recharge in!! It was PERFECT!!!

Stunning view, quiet, great value

  • 5 of 5

We are staying here for two months while looking for a second home. The view is better than anticipated, especially at night. Very quiet area but yet so close to town. Well decorated and fully stocked with everything needed to be comfortable.

Enjoyed the loft for afternoon reading in the sun and the mornings working in the office nook with a large desk and Wi Fi available throughout the home.

Would even buy this home if it was available!

Log Cabin

  • 3 of 5

This is a very nice cabin in a beautiful area, quiet, and has gorgeous views, but there are numerous improvements that need to be made. The walls going up the stairs from the game room need to be painted, There was only (1) pool stick out of (4) that was usable, TV remote in living room was missing, Door knob on basement door had to be tightened, very loose, Ice maker didn't work, Game Room smelled musty, No highchair was provided as listed online, Trim around door on porch leading inside is loose and missing screws, Coffee maker needed a good cleaning, There needs to be more than (1) garbage can in the garage so tenants don't have to haul any garbage that won't fit, to the dumpster at the realty office at the end of the stay. We had a very nice vacation but were disappointed in the condition of the cabin. Realty office was very friendly when I had any questions and quick to respond to any of my emails.

Owner's Response: Dana, I am sorry to hear about the issues that you ran into while staying at Mountain Escape. If you had called the office, I would've had these issues taken care of immediately. The homeowner has replaced the pool sticks, pots/pans/cookie sheets & coffee pot and all items are now in the home. In regards to the ice maker, I have our appliance man servicing that this afternoon. Our maintenance man has gone up today to repair the basement door, trim around the porch door and to take care of the musty smell you mentioned in the basement area. We thank you for staying in this lovely home and hope to see you in the future!

Perfect Mountain Escape!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is located in a beautiful area, and we really enjoyed sitting on the porch and taking in the gorgeous mountain view. The cabin was well-equipped with everything our family needed for a week of fun and relaxation! It's a beautiful cabin, and also very comfortable. I would love to stay here again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to family and friends looking for a nice mountain vacation.

The house was as lovely as the pictures. The scenery was gorgeous. We could have stayed longer because the home was so comfortable and inviting. Very clean and the house had everything you could possibly want to make your stay enjoyable.

The View!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you so much for offering us a stay at your house. We LOVED it. There were only 2 of us and our Labradoodle. The house was much bigger than we thought- an excellent value for a family or a reunion of some sort. I have since recommended it to several friends. We were looking at 1-2 bedroom homes that sleep 2-4 people, but this one looked so much more beautiful and was only a little more expensive, so we took it. Great decision. The community of log homes with killer views is amazing. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked with every kitchen gadget and cooking tool imaginable. Very clean. Great rustic feel. But our favorite thing was that deck. Wow. Suggestion- better directions. After an 11 hour drive, we had some trouble.
