Our Tropical Penthouse is at the end of the second building and affords that extra peace and quiet that you search for when you want to get away from all of the hustle & bustle. TO TAKE A TOUR, PLEASE SEE MY VIDEO (in the left hand corner of the picture above).

We are located on the third floor and occupy a portion of the fourth floor, due to our soaring ceilings, which allow for a more open feeling. There are only a few of these unique penthouses on the entire island! (Actually, there are no high-rise buildings on Sanibel, but these units are fondly referred to as ''penthouses''). The 1,385 square feet are all on a single floor.

Unique Benefits of Our Family Home: Enjoy our deluxe TROPICAL PENTHOUSE. We have a private linen/towel service so that everything will be 'hospital-clean' for you. Established island management company attends to your needs. ALL you have to do is RELAX.

From our enclosed and beautifully-furnished lanai, you can enjoy a quiet breakfast overlooking the well-manicured courtyard and watch the birds light on the palms, Bougainvilleas, and lush foliage. And there is a partial view of the beach.

Take the stairs or elevator outside, stroll through the courtyard, pass one of the largest pools on the island, and within a couple of minutes, you will find yourself on the world-renown shelling beach, gazing at the aqua waters with nothing between you and Mexico. Your only decision now is whether to sunbathe, swim or walk--without a care in the world.

Later you may want to walk, bike, or ride to local shops & restaurants. Or cross the bridge to find malls, larger grocery stores, movie complexes, and city conveniences

Family Memories at The Tropical Penthouse: Our family purchased this condo in 1974, and we kept it as our special family retreat, affording us an abundance of wonderful memories. We had fun redecorating several times, and always kept the tropical theme. We only began to share our secret and to rent a few years ago.

We love to swim out to the buoy, lounge on the beach and read books to each other, bird and people watch, and bike 27 miles on safe bike trails. We go to Captiva, have a Starbucks soy milk and bike back again. We kayak, dance and dine at elegant restaurants as well as eat out at the casual restaurants, shop at Periwinkle Place, eat homemade ice cream at Pinochio's, watch a sunset on the beach, and take romantic walks. Sometimes we even relax and fall asleep on the beautifully hand-carved bed with the comfy mattress, while ocean breezes surround us. We breathe deeply and sleep soundly. We are in our Tropical Paradise!

Our family purchased this condo in 1975, and we kept it as our special family retreat, affording us an abundance of wonderful memories. We had fun redecorating several times, and always kept the tropical theme. We love to swim out to the buoy, sit on the beach and read books to each other, bird and people watch, bike 27 miles on the paths, kayak, dance and dine at elegant restaurants as well as eat out at the casual restaurants, shop at Periwinkle Place, visit Naples, eat homemade ice cream at Pinnochio's, watch a sunset on the beach, and take a romantic walk. Sometimes we even relax and fall asleep.

Just got home. Everything went well. Your place is in great shape and we had everything we needed with the beach chairs and umbrella as well as a nice little cooler. My family loved the location and convenience to everything. great vacation!

Amazing experience!

I highly recommend this property! This is our second time on Sanibel and it is better than ever! The property owner is so wonderful and easy to work with! The property itself is gorgeous, clean, and accommodates everything we could ever want! We travel with two children and they find anything and everything they want/need in this property. We have been all over Caribbean and US, as far as beach vacations go, and the only place I want to come back to is here!

A Beautiful Home Away From Home!

We just returned from a wonderful week on Sanibel. This condo lives up to its description and provided us with a very comfortable and pleasant stay. The unit was beautifully decorated, very clean and well equipped with pots, pans and utensils for cooking. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was also a plus. Our party of 4 enjoyed all the amenities available, pool, barbecue area and the beach just steps away. The complex was quiet, secure and well maintained.

June (the owner), was a pleasure to deal with during all our interactions leading up to our visit. She was extremely responsive and provided all the information we needed to ensure that we had a great stay. Her love of the island and her pride in her home were very evident in our conversations and she was always accessible to answer any questions.

Thank you June, for everything, we had a great time and hope to be back in the future. You should also know that Royal Shell was very efficient during the check in and check out process.

Awesome condo, great location, well-maintained

We were very thankful to have been able to stay at a clean, safe, well-maintained and quiet condo. Third-floor, end-unit, external SILENT elevator close by. Assigned parking just a few steps away! Kitchen was COMPLETLY outfitted with blenders, coffee maker, ice maker, every possible utensil...multiple pool floats, towels, beach chairs, medium-sized awesome cooler, everything you could possibly need for beach or pool adventures! Six commercial propane grills w/umbrella seating areas located steps away for self-prepared meals of fresh grilled seafood or whatever, as well as meeting other residents and travelers for great meals. Quick 60-90 second access to LARGE pool and the ocean, without being right next to either, and any pool commotion. Perfect location within the development!

The other homeowners and condo mgt companies in FL and CA we've stayed at, could definitely learn a thing or two from the owner of this condo, and the Royal Shell mgt company on Sanibel. We spend a lot of time and money on our various travels, with and without extended family, so we appreciate an owner who's 'hands-on' and communicates well and in OUR best interests.

Shangrila in March....

We loved our stay in this lovely, comfortable top floor unit with soaring wooden ceilings in the Loggerhead Cay complex . The decor is eclectic and well chosen, no clutter here! The kitchen is nicely stocked with everything you'll need and the beds are super comfy. The lanai is large and inviting and a wonderful place to have a meal or curl up with a good book. The complex is quiet and very well maintained. The beach has soft white sand and is awash in shells as the tides change. Its a great location about 2 miles from the Sanibel Lighthouse. I walked the 4 mile round trip each day and saw dolphins playing just off-shore and lovely sunrises and sunsets regularly. The Olympic sized pool is fantastic and has designated one hour adult-only lap swimming every morning and again in the late afternoon. If you are looking for a place that feels far away but is convenient to everything the island has to offer, this is the place for you. We have already booked for next year and hope to continue vacationing here for many years to come.

A must see and stay

This was my first time on the island and staying at this lovely condo. The condo felt like home. The picture and description are exactely what you get. Actually it was more than I expected. The lani off the master bedroom and great room were used daily. I enjoyed ending my night sitting there and enjoyng the quiet of the evening, reflecting on the day. The weather was beautiful which allowed us to enjoy the beach and pool every day. The location was perfect. So many places to eat. The people we met at the pool were friendly and glad to offer suggestions for restaurants, places to visit, etc. I do plan to return again to this condo and island and would easily recommend it to anyone deciding to go to Sanibel.

Amazing place!! This place has everything you need. Well stocked kitchen for cooking meals. Washer and dryer so you don't have to over pack. Easily two thumbs up. Would love to stay here again.

Notes:
Loggerhead Cay has one of the largest pools on the island,, outdoor bathrooms for convenience, outdoor BBQ Grills and Tennis Courts. The main shopping area is Periwinkle Place. Have a relaxing facial, massage or manicure/pedicure at the day spa. Enjoy a live theater performance in season at the playhouse. Watch a recent movie at our tiny movie theater at Baileys. Some guests have taken a short drive into town during the spring to see the training grounds and training of the Boston Red Sox and the Minnesota Twins. There is very quick, easy access from Loggerhead Cay to the causeway, if you want to leave the island and explore the area. You may enjoy a wonderful tour of Thomas Edison's home in Ft Myers. The Miromar Outlet in Estero is great for shopping as is the Coconut Point Mall. Coconut Mall has numerous restaurants and a large movie theatre.
