Overview

About the property

Perched high on a ridge , Binna Burra Outlook at Lamington is a large house, that has unobstructed panoramic views over rolling hills all the way down to the Pacific Ocean. The unusual volcanic rock formations of Egg Rock, Turtle Rock and Ship's Stern can all be seen from the deck. At night see the sparkling lights of both the Gold Coast and the southern suburbs of Brisbane, the view is so expansive.

The house is situated in a pocket of freehold land that is totally surrounded by the World Heritage, Lamington National Park. Well over 100km of walking tracks can be easily accessed from the house. The park vegetation varies from mostly subtropical rain forest containing pockets of ancient antarctic beech trees, to open eucalypt forests and heath land. Walk past caves and cliff faces , swim in clear mountain streams or spot the birds and native animals, including kangaroos and koalas.

A Unique and Wonderful Property

  • 5 of 5

This is such a special house. I wonder how many people understand how rare it is to find a house to rent so close to the most incredible national park with a variety of walks. Not to mention the historical value of the Binna Burra Lodge. The house is comfortable, sleeps 10 and has a beautiful feeling about it with magnificent views. Once you're here you don't have to get in the car again! I've stayed here three times this year with three different groups of friends and everyone was amazed at the location, views, comfort and price :)

Weekend getaway Binna Burra outlook

  • 3 of 5

House of 2 tales- location superb with excellent views and great living area/deck.

The remainder of the house was dusty and a bit smelly. The doona covers could do with a good wash or even replacement. There was a bit of mould around the place and nobody was keen to sleep down stairs. Worth staying a couple of nights for the location.

Great location

  • 3 of 5

We are 2 friends who stayed here with 5 children and had a great time! The location is perfect, plenty to do around the area, kids loved every second of it. The view is to die for!

The house itself was spacious, well equipped kitchen and bathrooms and wood for the fireplace.

We had a little problem with the gas stove, but Kellie was great and dealt with it very promptly.

But the house desperately needs a spring clean, lick of paint inside and out. The outside needs proper, regular maintenance as it's very neglected. Downstairs area is moldy and we didn't feel comfortable letting the kids sleep in that smell. But they loved the ping pong and billiard table!

We would stay here again.
