Heather was very responsive and available to help us.

We had a family weekend at the "cabin" and it was great! The cabin was welcoming with a candle burning as we walked through the door. The creek, hot tub, sauna and lawn games kept us all busy and relaxed. The town of Raymond is charming and only 10 minutes away. We might be back next year!

When You Want To Get Away From It All!

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful home! Me and a group of friends wanted a long weekend to get away from our busy lives and this was perfect place! When we arrived the house smelled like baked cookies and was warm and inviting. There was enough space for 5 women. Everyone had their own comfortable bed. Hot tub with a view of the river. Fire pit with plenty of chopped wood and the owner included stuff to make smore's! The Sauna was delightful. And we took full advantage of the inner tubes, etc provided for the river. We packed a cooler with what we needed for the weekend, but there is a grocery store about 15 minutes away. No cellphone service, but there is a working landline incase of emergencies. Spotty country wifi, but when you are in such a beautiful, quiet place conversation with friends and family is way more fun then checking social media or work emails. I would love to stay here during the winter. The owner was very helpful and so very friendly! Definitely recommend this home.

Beautiful property

  • 4 of 5

The property is beautiful and well maintained. Cabin is very nice, perfect for a small family. The master is a loft that is open to the whole cabin so no privacy. Also stairs to the loft are small and slick so not the best for kids or people with mobility issues. We appreciated the little things the owner left for us - chocolates on all the pillows, a s'mores kit, and led candles created a very welcoming ambiance. Would love to stay here again!

Relaxing Log Cabin in Raymond!

  • 5 of 5

My family LOVED staying at this log cabin. Our experience started with a candlelit welcome and s'mores package when we arrived, which is a such a nice touch as it made us feel welcome right away. We loved the location on the river, which we floated everyday on the inner tubes provided. My daughters loved fishing, using the rope swing and playing Frisbee on the HUGE yard in front of the cabin. I loved making campfires, and chopping my own wood out of the wood pile provided. I also loved going for walks up into the hills. So beautiful. We brought a quad and a dirt bike, which the kids used up in the hills with miles of forest roads to explore. My wife loved sitting in the back and reading as the kids played and swam. The sauna was great and added to the experience. Our dog loved the large lot where he could roam to his hearts content. I loved how quiet it was during the day. We were close enough to town where we could pick up extra groceries or eat out if we wanted to. There as a small town parade and carnival in Raymond when we were there that we attended. Heather was a great communicator and truly wanted to make sure you enjoyed the experience, but wasn't overbearing at all. I would definitely recommend this log cabin and we will definitely be coming back! Thanks again Heather for the memorable vacation!

Serene retreat

  • 4 of 5

The home and property are just as described and represented. It's cozy, clean and we really enjoyed hanging by the river, lounging in the hot tub and playing games on the property. We even got to witness a small wedding on a neighboring property, which was a delight. My only issue is despite the directions, we still had trouble finding the exact drive to turn on and wound up making a few wrong turns. It would be great if there was a sign at the road.

10 out of 5 stars

  • 5 of 5

this cabin was more that anyone could expect, although a rustic log cabin... it was absolutely clean and fresh... Candles on arrival was so nice and unexpected... even robes for trips to the hot tub or sauna. quite Serine and peaceful for a get-a-way...

we did try the Mexican restaurant next to the freshway ( MISTAKE)... but found the Pitchwood on night 2 for drinks , live music and great steamers.

If we ever come back this way ... not doubt this will be where we will stay.

As a guesthouse owner/operator Heather was quick to respond and has quite a gem here.
