Wonderful hospitality in a special and beautiful property

  • 5 of 5

Heather's cabin is awesome! It's even better than the pictures. We had a great time with the kids, there's no shortage of things to do with the river (with salmon jumping around!), campfire, huge lawn and lawn games, canoe, hot tub, sauna, and well-appointed cabin. They layout of the cabin is great and conducive to cooking and hanging out and the 2 bedrooms were just perfect for our group. In addition everything was really clean and Heather went above and beyond to give a warm welcome - chocolates on the pillows, lights around the cabin, and smores and fireplace materials all ready to go. We were all touched by the hospitality and little touches. We all want to come back and spend more than 2 nights!

Thanks so much Heather for allowing us to stay in this magical place, and for the hospitality and responsiveness. We had a wonderful weekend.

Stunning Rustic Warm Log Cabin and Property!

  • 5 of 5

The log cabin on the South Fork of the Willapa River is a pristine and wonderful place. I had chosen this site to have my rustic outdoor wedding in September and I am so happy and pleased that I did!!

Heather Hamilton, the owner, was nothing but kind and responsive to any question or request I had in the months and weeks leading up to my big day. She allowed my wedding planner and I to walk the property and plan the layout, she charged a standard event fee, and even let my guests use the large field for easy access parking.

We had originally thought to use the back yard for the event, however the back yard is hilly and tables wouldn't be very secure. The side yard was large and flat, perfect for the event. When I was arranging delivery for the tables, I texted Heather and asked if we could check in early. She let us, stating that it would be a wedding gift! I was so relieved and grateful.

When we got to the cabin it was amazing, full of personality and warmth. There were s'more making materials, chocolates on every pillow, and the house felt friendly and open. Like we had just gotten home. My favorite part of the interior was the river rock fireplace. What gorgeous craftsmanship. There were so many awesome architectural charms of the house that we kept discovering them throughout the weekend.

The day of the wedding, we were able to place a 20'x50' tent along the side of the cabin with room to spare. We were able to arrange 7 large round tables and one long wedding party table under the tent. Heather, being the wonderful person she is, also offered us use of the benches and archway she had in her garage! With those additions we were able to get married under the open sky, they really made our wedding sparkle.

The property is laid out beautifully and I suggest that anyone with a penchant for the outdoors and relaxation to take in a weekend at this charming cabin. Although there are neighbors all around, you have privacy and security on the property. We will definitely be returning to use all the amazing amenities this property offers like the little rafting boats, the sauna, the hot tub and the river rock fireplace!! It was so charming and perfect. Exactly what we needed for our wedding get away. My guests were amazed and wanted to know how I found such a terrific place. I told them that they could have their perfect weekend as well, to book this property right away! I can not wait to rent this property again!

Thank you, Courtney Barclay

This cabin is an A+

  • 5 of 5

Warm atmosphere, very comfortable, secluded, and well designed interior plus very personable owner. Suffice it to say that it was a big hit with my wife by the number of cabin pictures that she posted on Facebook!

Best accomodations we have ever had!

  • 5 of 5

We so enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin. There were so many wonderful amenities we were sorry we were not staying longer! Everything was provided with the consumer in mind. We loved the sauna and the hot tub not to mention the cabin was spacious and very well appointed. A very peaceful property and one we will certainly seek out if our travels take us back to this area.

The wow factor

  • 5 of 5

First impressions are everything and set the tone for opening the door. Not just to the cabin but sets the mood for your weekend stay. Very warm and inviting on the inside with a lot of great touches. The hot tub was wonderful and really helped for a great nights sleep. The bed and the super comfy sheets really helped too.

Lots to do around the area too. We were able to explore the area and eat at some local spots for some great sea food. Looking forward to staying there again.

It was a real dog heaven too. Lots of room to run and of course the river. If our lab Tera was not at our feet we knew she was in the river.

So next visit...bring less food and more towels to dry the dog off :)

Great job Heather

Perfect get away!

  • 5 of 5

When we walked into the cabin, we were welcomed by candles and such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We spent much of the time just sitting by the river soaking in the incredible sights of nature including the many deer who came to visit each day. The cabin was clean and well stocked with everything we needed, including chocolate on all pillows and all the fixings for s'mores! We loved every minute and hope to stay another time. Thank you Heather for a great experience!
