Very very happy with our stay
Enjoyed our stay at the Kingfisher lodge. Loved how close it was to town but set away from the main road for privacy. Loved seeing the kangaroos in the morning and will most likely book a stay again.
Thanks Shae, we are pleased you enjoyed your time at The Lodges. We are very fortunate that they are set in a very special area.
This is a wonderful place to stay, great natural location, comfortable, generous provisions, great view of native wildlife, with everything you need for a luxurious and enjoyable vacation, definitely recommend.......
Thank you Shirley for your kind review on The Kingfisher Lodge, it is much appreciated.
Home away from Home
When first entering Kingfisher Lodge you notice how what you see online is what you get. Spotlessly clean, well furnished, kitchen utensils in great supply, a good hamper of breakfast supplies plus plenty of dvd's and cd's. Peace and quite abounds and a perfect location to explore Halls Gap and the Grampians. Lots of birdlife and kangaroos to keep you entertained. Peter and Kerryn have a property they should be proud of.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay at The Kingfisher Lodge, we are very lucky due to the space around The Lodges that the wildlife can come and go as they please.
Little extras make it feel like home
We had an amazing time at Kingfisher. Facilities were excellent, we especially loved soup by the fire, spa bath at night and wonderful sleep in the comfortable King Size bed. But our favourite was waking up to views of the mountains and Kangaroos and Deer outside our windows. Stay here, you won't be disappointed.
Thank you Michelle for your lovely review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay at The Kingfisher Lodge, we are very fortunate to have the open space around The Lodges so the wildlife can come and wander around.
The Kingfisher Lodge provides the perfect place to relax, allow nature to come and say hello and as a launching pad to the many spectacular natural features of the Grampians. All facilities are well appointed providing everything you need, the outside area is a private nook that you can not help but connect with the local creatures, birds and the environment. Thanks for the care taken to provide such wonderful accommodation.
Thanks Harvey and Linda for your lovely review on The Kingfisher Lodge, it is much appreciated.
We has a wonderful stay at Kingfisher Lodge. The property is stunning inside and out.
The location is central to Halls Gap and an easy walk to town, but the building is set well back from the road and is very quiet and private. We were able to watch the kangaroos, emus and a huge range of birds from the upstairs deck whilst enjoying a view of the range up to the Pinnacle.
The house is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The kitchen has everything that you need in terms of utensils, knives etc as well as basics including oil, salt and pepper. This is above and beyond many other self contained places we have stayed.
Very comfortable bed with a view, and excellent modern and tasteful bathroom.
We would absolutely recommend this property to others.
Thank you Laura for taking the time to a review on The Kingfisher Lodge, it is much appreciated. Cheers Peter.
Halls Gap is a village in Victoria, Australia. It’s a gateway to Grampians National Park, known for its sandstone mountains, wildflowers and wildlife including echidnas and wallabies. Park trails lead to waterfalls like towering MacKenzie Falls and slender Silverband Falls. The Balconies lookout offers views of the Victoria Range, while Boroka Lookout is perched above Fyans Valley, with glimpses of Lake Bellfield.
Whether you visit for walking, sightseeing, wildflower spotting, rock climbing or relaxation, Halls Gap has everything you need – a wide range of, retail shopping, galleries, cafes, pubs and restaurants, and a lovely village feel that will make you feel so welcome you won’t want to leave.
Founded in 1841 by Charles Browning Hall, Halls Gap has matured into a modern tourism hub with its proximity to the natural attractions of the Grampians National Park a drawcard. Waterfalls, lookouts, bushwalking trails, lakes and sacred Indigenous sites are all on your doorstep, with many attractions just a short walk or drive away.
Halls Gap features a beautiful park with a large children’s playground and free barbecues, a fantastic solar-heated swimming pool with kids’ splash pad, and a visitor information centre staffed seven days a week. A supermarket, petrol station, ATMs, a post office and a chemist are all in town, and the Halls Gap Zoo is just around the corner. Brambuk – the National Park and Cultural Centre – will help you learn more about the rich Indigenous culture and history of the Grampians known as Gariwerd in local language.
Throughout the year Halls Gap hosts popular events including Victoria’s longest-running food and wine festival the Grampians Grape Escape, as well as art and craft events like Grampians Brushes, and music celebrations such as the Grampians Jazz and Blues Festival. And if you’re a wine connoisseur, many of our cafes, pubs and restaurants serve the local tipple, or you can take a short drive to visit cellar doors and talk to the winemakers themselves.
Halls Gap is at the very heart of the Grampians and the perfect spot to base yourself while in the region. And with so many friendly local businesses wanting to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, what are you waiting for? See you soon!
