About Cece Miles

Retired airline employee, love to travel, especially in Europe. Born and raised in Philadelphia. Married and have 4 grown children and one grandchild. Have relatives and friends in various parts of Europe.

Cece Miles purchased this apartment in 2007

Why Cece Miles chose Hvar

Introduced to Croatia by good friends who live there and started to visit Croatia almost 20 years ago. Fell in love with the very special island of Hvar, and especially the amazing views of the Adriatic on the southern coast.

What makes this apartment unique

The village is surrounded by vineyards and the neighbor winery produces several award winning Croatian wines.

Guestbook comments from the manager

After falling in love with Hvar in September 2013 we decided to come back to this island and Vila Vino in June 2014. We were not disappointed. This island and its coast are still amazing. The hike up to Sv Nikola never gets old, Hvar town is cosmopolitan as ever plus there is always something to discover--new beaches like Lusisce, submarines on Brac etc. We'll be back!

Gorgeous, cozy getaway

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I stayed in this cozy rental in Sept, 2013 and we are still talking about this vacation as one of our all time favorites. This listing was our ideal pick and it lived up to our expectations the week we stayed there. Cece was immensely helpful and her love of the property shows in its maintenance and charm. The size of this place was perfect for two. The kitchen made it comfy for dinners on a cool evening and the porch was perfect for a relaxing hang on the porch swing and provided for the most absolutely stunning view during morning coffee. We did our best to try as many kinds of wine from the winery directly behind the house as was possible and the walk down the hill to the small beach, stunningly gorgeous water, and hiking trails was an every morning occurrence. Coffee at the marina, fresh bread at the bakery next to the marina, and lunch or dinner at the easy to find restaurant just down the road from the marina were common attractions for us. The beautiful drive to Hvar town was a special treat one afternoon and the Pitve restaurant, Dvor Dubokovic, was a particularly special evening for us. The hike to the peak of Sveta Nikola was an afternoon to remember. I would recommend a stay at this Sveta Nekjelja gem for anyone looking for breath taking views, relaxation, a romantic setting, hiking, swimming, good food and wine, and a warm spot to come back to at night.

Vila Vino on Hvar Island, Croatia

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was adorable. It had everything I needed, even a lounge chair for the beach. The bed was comfortable, and the area was quiet and very peaceful at night. The community is very welcoming and I had a great time meeting the people that work in the world-famous winery above the apartment. There are many great herbs and fruits on the property too and I used them to cook often. The property was very clean and there was good parking. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who would like to a nice relaxing stay on a beautiful island in Croatia.

Sveta Nedjelja is a small village on the southern coast of the island of Hvar. The village is nestled into the steep slopes of the limestone mountainside of the Dineric Alps which bisect the long narrow island horizontally. Vineyards and olive groves surround the village and it is known for the Zlatan Plenkovic winery and its Bila Idro marina and grill restaurant that dominates the village seaside. Also by the the sea is one of the world's most beautiful free-climbing facilities know as Cliffbase. The crystal clear waters of the Adriatic and the various small secluded pebble beaches provide idyllic swimming and snorkeling and kayaking and boating of all types. The Croatian islands of Kortula and Vis are visible on horizon and Hvar town is only 15 km via the cliff road or 30 km by the paved road. Ideal location for hiking, trekking, biking, caving, photography, and more.
