Charming little house with view of the water. We have a large deck off the house and an additional deck over the water with a fish cleaning table and fresh water. Large Dock, rebuilt in 2013, will accommodate 4 boats. Electricity for one boat is available on the dock.
You share the dock and utility room with Bob and Lisa, who have a houseboat tied up there.
Utility room has washer and dryer and a second bathroom. Unheated storage room below house has room for 2 more sleepers.
Single bath has shower, and separate wash room has 2 basins. Sheets and towels are stocked. One bedroom has king bed, the other a queen.
Remodeled in 2011, the kitchen has propane gas stove, microwave, lots of counter space and is completely furnished. The cupboards are stocked, and all you need to bring are the perishables, your swimsuit and toothbrush.
Boat launch facilities or boat rental at Sugar Barge Marina are nearby, 5 minutes drive.
The house has a propane stove for heat in the winter and ceiling fans for the summer. It is well insulated. Propane barbeque and large patio table on the deck are available for your use. Parking space is below the house in the front driveway and yard. We have no WiFi or internet access and no telephone, but what the heck. You are on vacation.
Waterskiing or boating: We are 10 minutes to fast water and located next to Emerald Point Marina. Launching is available at Sugar Barge Marina, 5 minutes away. Boat rental is also available there.
We have enjoyed this house as a weekend getaway, then as a vacation home and our kids grew up waterskiing here. Now the grandkids are enjoying it, too. We remodeled and upgraded the house in 2009 and and rebuilt the dock in 2013. It now has all the comforts we need.

Less than 2 hours from the Bay Area, it was close enough to come for a weekend and far enough away to really relax and forget about work. The neighbors are friendly if you want to walk around and chat or they will leave you alone if you don't want to go out and meet them.
It is a quiet, relaxing place to forget about the stress of work or the rest of your problems. Close to small towns if you want to run in to a movie or a big grocery store and we have small bars, restaurants, and boating facilities close by if you need them. You can walk along the levee and see the unique houses and boats. Overall, it is just a fun place to relax and enjoy.
The place was great, I am a boat owner & shared the place with 2 other boat owners as well, the place is perfect for two couples or a large family! We were able to keep our boats at the dock & the 3 days out on the Delta were incredible. We had a wonderful stay, the property managers were very hospitable & helpful with any of our needs! Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy or experience the beautiful CA Delta!
The house was great & you made us feel welcome. I will see you next year Thank you Kevin B & Leslie Morse.
Really enjoyed our stay on Bethel Island. The property was exactly what we needed, amazing deck with view of the water. We spent all day fishing from the dock and caught at least 20 stripers, all undersized, but fun nonetheless. The caretakers of the property live on a large boat docked behind the home. This takes a little getting used to and is a constant reminder that you are guests at someone else's place. However, they are incredibly friendly and helpful people who's #1 priority is that you enjoy your stay. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend on the water.
Nothing but fun and relaxation. And as always, Lisa and Bob were excellent hosts!!!!!!!
This is our second time staying here and I think this stay was better than the first time! Maybe cuz we were more familiar with the house. We had a great stay/time. Beds are comfortable, the layout of the house is nice, I like having two sinks for/in the bathroom area, I like the way the bedrooms are separated, the openness in the living area, the arrangement of the furniture, a place to dock our boat, the convenience of the location, and the deck with the gates.
I would recommend this house to family, friends, or anyone who inquired of a rental home. It is very relaxing and you don't have to be "fishing" people to enjoy the house and area. It's clean inside and out! With a washer and dryer available with the house, it is easy to stay as long as you
The advertisement for the house is well done and discribes the house very well.
We totally enjoyed our stay and plan on returning (again).

Our hosts were very good with their description and directions to their home as it is tucked back in near the Emerald Marina. The home was clean and neat and a nice place for us to relax after fishing all day. We were surprised we had so many TV channels since they didn't have cable tv or internet. The home is close to a 4G tower so we had great service through our phones and hotspots so not having internet was not a problem at all. Only issue was no air conditioning and it was a hot weekend, but otherwise I would come back again. Thanks.
This is a recreation area on the Sacramento-Stockton Delta. 1000 miles of waterways, it is known for great boating, waterskiing, swimming, fishing and waterfowl.
Golf: Bethel Island public golf course is nearby.
