Enjoyed the lake house overall
Enjoyed the cabin on the lake. Nice location close to Glacier. The boat, dock and outdoor fireplace were a nice touch. The bedroom is upstairs and was a little small and claustrophobic for us. The house house had quite a few black spiders (I probably had to squash around two dozen of them for the wife over four days). There was a construction crew working next door.
We are glad to hear this guest enjoyed the cabin. We have never had problems or complaints about spiders before, but there was unseasonably cold weather/snow that may have driven some inside. Apparently our neighbors were having their cabin stripped and painted during this guests stay which should now be completed.
The best little cabin in the woods!
This was by far the best place we've ever stayed. The cabin is wonderful, well-stocked and in a gorgeous location on the lake. The owners are wonderful and let us know ahead of time there was going to be some colder weather in the area. Unfortunately that cold weather turned out to be a super early major snow storm and we ended up leaving earlier than planned since we had to drive east into the heaviest snow. Bill was nice enough to stop by and say hi and prep the cabin for winter. This truly is a wonderful place to stay, and we plan to return as soon as we can get back to the area!
Great spot just outside of town on a serene lake
The cabin was a great little treat and was easy to get to and from the Glacier NP. We hiked a couple of days and just enjoyed our last day at the cabin to recuperate. Clean, well stocked with kitchen utensils, and efficient.
Great place for relaxin
Had everything we needed and more for a great stay! Not too far from town and close to glacier. No reception at all, so plan to disconnect and relax if you're here!
We are glad to year that this guest had a great time. We do not have WIFI at the cabin. However, most guests have some level of cell service which varies depending on provider, time of day and weather conditions. Calls and texting are often possible while larger data transfer is normally not possible. We encourage you to disconnect from electronics and enjoy the outdoors as this guest did.
The listing describes the property exactly how it is! The kitchen has most everything you could need and as did we, previous guests left a random assortment of spices and other “extras” that really made it feel like home. Grill worked wonderfully. We rowed out in the boat to do a little fishing (caught a few small trout) and all around just enjoyed the beautiful scenery and little creatures running around. The owners communicated everything we needed to know prior to our arrival so there was zero unknown. Our one suggestion is to read the book that previous guests have written in. It includes little tricks of the trade like what bait works best to the hidden old school tv and games. All in all we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay and for sure will be back!
This peaceful Montana cabin is located at a 'special place' on Spoon Lake just steps away from Glacier National Park. Twenty minutes to the park's main west entrance, twenty minutes to Glacier International Airport, thirty minutes to Flathead Lake-the largest natural lake west of the Mississippi and just 10 minutes from the small town of Columbia Falls. The cabin is centrally located to take in the culture, shopping and dining available in the town of Whitefish, and the old western charm of Kalispell or the frontier atmosphere of Polebridge. Close to all the recreational attractions that you could possibly want such as hiking, fishing, whitewater rafting and horseback riding, you will love it here.
