Comfortable home in quite Wailua Homesteads cul de sac. We can sleep up to 6 people in four beds (Master BR: one king, Guest BR: one queen and Second Guest BR: One full. We want our guests to have a great time on Kauai so please be sure that your guests can sleep in these three beds as there are no other sleeping areas available.
Our regular nightly rate is LESS THAN a standard 2 bed hotel room on Kauai. Here are some of the extras you get:

There is so much to do on this beautiful island, so minimize your driving time and STAY WITH US! Where time is concerned, it's all about Location, Location, Location. Stay in the CENTER of Kauai!! The weather is great here--not as hot as Sunny Poipu can be and not to wet like Princeville/Hanalei can be and it's perfect from a sight seeing and activity starting point.
This amazing location is situated just three to five minutes from everything! Wailua Beach, Lydgate Beach, Wailua River, fern Grotto, Wailua Falls, and Smith's Tropical Paradise for the best Luau in Kauai! Also, you are cetrally located on the island to you are half way to each side of the island. Allows you to take off on day trips to all the various sights whether they be to the far West side and Waimea Canyon or to the North end of the island to watch a sunset at Hanalei Bay or famous Kee (Kay-A) Beach.
This comfortably appointed single family home sits at the end of a quiet cul de sac that backs to Sleeping Giant Mountain Forest Reserve.
As you enter this charming home, you will be graced with the warm tropical feelings of Hawaiian ambiance. The living room features a comfortable place to relax at the end of the day. A HD Television and CD Stereo system are provided for your enjoyment. The adjoining kitchen has lots of natural light and ample room for the cook to spread out. Step out onto the patio off the kitchen and have your morning coffee or an refreshing evening drink.
NOTE TO GUESTS: We stock the home with 2 rolls of toilet paper for each bathroom and one roll of paper towels to get you started during your stay.
For outdoor activities, hiking trails up Sleeping Giant Mountain are just steps from this home and end at a picnic shelter atop the mountain which is perfect for viewing one of Kauai's gorgeous sunsets.
You are also only minutes away from one of Kauai's most beautiful beaches at Wailua beach. This beach provides miles of endless beach walking and sunbathing. Also at Wailua beach's Lydgate park, enjoy the lava wall enclosed swimming and snorkeling area and the wonderful Kamalani Playground and picnic area.
Or just 5 minutes away, take a boat ride up to the Famous Fern Grotto, attend a luau, go shopping, see a movie or eat in one of Kauai's eateries offering freshly caught pacific ocean fish--the best!
Another visitor destination, the world famous Hindu Temple, is a 7 minute drive away (only 2 miles up the road).
This beautiful facility is a structure in which every piece in this Temple was hand-fashioned in India and transported to Kauai whereit has been lovingly reassembled. The grounds and serenity of the setting are beautiful.
Kauai also provides three Tropical Botanical gardens, one in Poipu and two on the north shore. Visit Na Aina Kai and walk thru their sculpture and maze gardens. These are simple day trips from our home.
It is important to know that the Kauai Ordinance regarding vacation homes, all of which are located in quiet neighborhoods, addresses noise levels. In respect to the County Code and to our neighbors, we limit our guest count to 6.
A note on sleeping: The Plumeria room has a King Bed and private bath, The Hibiscus Room has a Queen Bed, and the Gardenia room has Full Size bed. Sleeps 1-6 comfortably.

When we decided to leave the snow country for something "tropical" we decided to make this quiet, cozy home our winter get a way.
We were delighted with our choice. Everything we needed was provided in this house. The owners live next door and were available to answer all our questions and to tend to any needs.
The home is on a very quiet cul de sac in Wailua Homesteads. There is a small grocery store walking distance (2 blocks) for those emergency needs. Shopping, dining, great beaches and activities are just 3-5 minutes away.
If we have the opportunity to do this again, this would definitely be at the top of our list as a place to spent 4 long winter months! Highly recommend this for anyone undecided.
We enjoyed our stay! The house was as pictured, plenty of seating inside and out. Beach equipment was available. The bedrooms were decent size with comfortable beds. The neighborhood rooters and hens added to the country setting. We would stay here again.
The location is amazing, the house is well equipped and clean.
We will definitely come back to the Last mango in paradise soon!

This was the perfect rental for our needs.
The rental process went smoothly, the home was exactly as shown in the photographs and descriptions and was very clean. The welcome package, with treats and coffee was also a very nice touch. Though we did not take advantage of it, the free concierge service was a nice touch.
My wife and I (~50 years) spent a week here with our mothers (78 and 80 yrs) and chose this home for its quiet neighborhood at the edge of Sleeping Giant, as well as the central location - it's about the same distance to Ke'e Beach as it is to Polihale. To get around, we rented a 4 door jeep, which fit nicely in the large garage. The neighbors were friendly, we were just a minute or so from a little general store, and only 5 minutes from Kapa'a and all the amenities.
The lanai, though a little narrow was nicely landscaped, and because it opened off the kitchen served as our extended dining room. We cooked a few meals, and had all the necessary appliances - perfect for saving a few $$ on restaurants. The bedrooms were nice sized, and the internet easy to use. The only disappointment was the bbq was not well cleaned.
I would definitely rent this home again, and would recommend to anyone looking for a home base while visiting the island.
