Peaceful get away
Once located it was a delightful home to stay in. Every possible amenity was available. The owner John came each day to light a fire for the evening. The linens were as new and beds comfortable. The only comment for improvement is to increase the lighting. With dark slate floors, black bench tops and dark walls, at night it was hard to see. It was impossible to read a book. What is needed is more table lamps with higher light in the seating area. With a couple of extra table lamps, rather than using the overhead lights in the vaulted ceiling to see, it would be cosy and yet be able to read by the fire.
This is how Denmark should be experienced!
We have a family of 7 and this place accommodated us perfectly! A really nice sized heritage style cabin that had us fall in love as soon as we drove up to it! Inside is exactly what we were looking for. So warm and homely. John and Valerie were such amazing hosts! Setting up the wood fire bbq on both nights ready for ya to roast chops and marshmallows. It was really neat and tidy and the views from both levels were amazing. We have already decided to make it our annual trip down south. We’ve found our home away from home.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Was completely child and pet friendly. The children explored the bush and were occupied for hours outdoors. The dogs enjoyed exploring as well and found plenty to do. The house is absolutely beautiful with amazing views and enough space for everyone. I particularly loved the kitchen and the benches where the kids could sit together at meal times. Our host John and his poodle were very friendly and welcoming. We were give some awesome tips on places we could go with the kids and dogs, Anvil beach was perfect!
Amazing location and beautiful rustic house
My family and I just spent a wonderful ten days at Wolfes Landing. The location is incredible - the sounds of swans, magpies, wrens, kookaburras and frogs dominate. John is a great host - incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. The house is well designed with different living areas and a great kitchen. The views from the balcony are beautiful. Perfect place for my teenage boys and 80 year old mother, and me! We look forward to returning soon.
Thank you for your generous review Louisa. Meeting you and your family was a real pleasure and Valerie and I are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Hope to see you back soon.
What a little gem in the middle of the bush. Short distance between Albany and Denmark and the view from the house is lovely. John was a great host and nothing was too much trouble.
Glad you enjoyed your stay Elaine. It was great meeting you all. John
A fantastic and peaceful location!
My partner and I spent a weekend here while visiting the Albany and Denmark region. Beautifully located right on the water surrounded by nature. The dogs loved exploring and playing with lovely Bohdi, the resident poodle :) John and Valerie are just a stones throw away if you need anything which is very helpful. We look forward to coming back down longer next time!
Wolfes Landing is located on the Nenamup Inlet on The Nullaki Peninsula. It is located conveniently between The City of Albany and the picturesque township of Denmark. It is suited for family holidays (including pets) or just a romantic getaway where the only sound you will hear will be the many bird calls and the sigh of the wind in the trees. The shore, boat, inlet and river fishing is spectacular and if you don't fish the beaches are really something. Restaurants, wineries, galleries and craft shops are all close by.
