Traditional Blue Mountains Cottage

A gorgeous warm home close to the 3 sisters and Katoomba ships yet tucked away in a quiet street. Well appointed and comfortable. Perfect for a family getaway.
Comfortable house, good location
The house had everything we needed with a large fenced backyard for our dog.
Cute and comfortable
Cute cottage that easily housed five people and two dogs. Well laid out and a great backyard for kids and dogs. Walk to town and great coffee shop around the corner.
A very warm & cosy place to stay in the mountains
We all really enjoyed our stay at Oatley Place, it was very cosy. It was absolutely freezing the weekend we were there but the heating kept us warm. It did take a little while to heat up but stayed warm. The yard was perfect for our dog (very safe & secure) and our kids loved it too. The kitchen was fully equipped, only missing teacups & saucers (a small thing). We look forward to coming back when it’s a bit warmer outside so we can enjoy the lovely deck. Thank you Ted!
Perfect place, perfect location and perfect to bring along big dogs
Finally found a wonderful pet friendly property that is suitable for large dogs. The house is wonderful and centrally located with a 10 minute walk to the main street of Katoomba in one direction and 10 minutes to the three sisters (and Blue Mountains Chocolate café) in the other direction. The house itself is comfortable and has plenty of space for multiple people to share accommodation. It was just my wife and I and there was more than enough room. The thing that really sold me on the property though was the back garden and the fences. We have 2 large Huskies and many 'pet friendly' locations either have small fences or non at all. The yard was large for our dogs to run crazy and we were comfortable enough with the heights of the fences that they wouldn't jump them. To top of a perfect trip away, we were lucky enough to get snow!
Good location and cottage but we arrived on a very cold day and it took a good 24 hours to heat .
Good but deficient in many of the basics ie body wash etc. The cleaning was certainly not up to scratch, the stove wasn’t clean and the table still had old food stuck on it.However whenever we had to deal with Ted, the owner, he was very helpful and accommodating. Central heating would certainly make the cottage far more cosy.
Thank you for your feedback.
Can I highlight that the gas log fire in the lounge room with the setting on "High" can adequately heat up the main lounge and kitchen/dining room. There are ample electric heaters in each of the 4 bedrooms. This saves on power & the environment, especially when there were only two guests residing in the house. The provision of a body wash is a personal preference and is difficult to provide guests with a liquid that does not irritate skin. The tariff cost for the house is one of the lowest in Katoomba for a traditional house, and so I offer good value for a very affordable price. Cheers. Ted.
