Fantastic Condo with great views with a really nice , easy to communicate owner Roberta.
Great Condo with fantastic views of the lake and all conveniences are really close , couldn't ask for more! Fantastic location between all the parks and easy to get from and to the airport.
Will look to book again !
Very nice property. Good location.
Well appointed. Manager is very responsive.
Very happy with our experience!
My family and I were very happy with our experience in staying here. First of all, the owner was extremely personable and helpful while confirming our reservation and throughout our stay. The accommodations were awesome! The location was perfect for Disney (15 minutes away) and Universal (10 minutes away). We had easy and convenient access to swimming pools, a workout room, walking/running trails, a grocery store, and a really great pizza place. We also had a golf course within a mile from our condo with reasonable rates during the week. Our condo was clean and ready for us upon arrival and had it had a balcony with a gorgeous view over a lake. Just cant say enough about how great our experience was in staying here. I would definitely stay here again!
A great stay at Lake Cay!
We had a great 3 night stay during the week of June 14th. The condo is clean & comfortable and in a perfect location. Very convenient to the Airport, Disney & Universal Parks, with lots of restaurants minutes away. We really enjoyed the beautiful lake view from the living area & balcony. We also had an excellent view of the fireworks show at Sea World from the balcony.
Hot & Miserable in Orlando
A friend of mine and I rented this condo to attend a trade show on June 3-5 2017. Upon arrival the condo itself was also a huge disappointment. The living room furniture consisted of a really uncomfortable futon for a sofa and 2 very uncomfortable wicker chairs. The dining chairs in picture are not what is in there now. The refrigerator, stove, and table were very dirty, not one single ceiling fan in the condo, hair on the bathroom floor, glade air fresheners that smelled strong and horrible, a bent curtain rod that fell a couple times, burnt out bulbs, water sitting in coffee pot where coffee goes, basically not what you would call a "luxury" condo as it is advertised.
We also realized that the air conditioning wasn't working so we called the owner. A repairman came a couple hours later and determined that the air could not be fixed until Monday. By this time it was after 8 PM and we were not able to find another place to stay so the owner, told me on the phone that she would give us a 100% refund for all the trouble. Since we would be refunded for the night we decided to stay and tough it out in the heat and look for something the next morning (even though our entire day and evening were already planned with work commitments).
The next morning the owner checked in with us and at that point had changed her mind, informing us that she was only willing to give us a 25% discount. I informed her that we were packing up and we would find other accommodations for Sunday night. I am now disputing the charges with my credit card company and with Home Away. I have contacted the owner again to try and resolve this matter with no response.
The incident should have been handled in a professional manner but was not. Our trip was ruined because we had to spend a lot of our time locating another room in addition to the expense of having to pay for another night somewhere else & I continue w/this nightmare as I try to get a refund for staying 1 night in a hot, uncomfortable, dirty condo!! What a shame that a weekend meant for fun and some continuing education has turned into this mess!
If you are looking for a nice place to stay for the week, keep looking and do not rent this! If there is a problem you will be on your own to figure it out. I have always had great places to stay with VRBO but this place was a dump!
I am perturbed though not surprised that this client would keep her promised to destroy my business if said client did not get what they wanted. At no point did I misrepresent myself to this client. When I learned that the AC was not working, I called my technician and the client was offered four (4) options to choose from that would give her similar rates, comfort and air conditioning. This client obviously saw the malfunction of an Air Conditioner as a means of getting free accommodations. The condo was cleaned and checked the day before arrival. However, I was contacted by the client about the air conditioner not working. The client wanted to know if there was another unit that they could use (there were none). This client was adamant that the condo would not work for her and her guest without a working AC. At which time the client was informed that there would be no charge if they chose to leave. This client then instructed me to find her new accommodations in case the AC could not be fixed. The thermostat indicated 79 degrees inside, 2 degrees higher than our normally programmed setting (outside temp was 81 with rain in the forecast). The technician reported the motor was broken and he could not replace it before Monday. All energies were then concentrated on finding her new accommodations as the immediate location was sold out. The 4 options provided included two reputable hotels, one at the location of her conference, a rental home and a company that manages properties in the area. This client refused the hotels and took leave to review the other options. The next morning, this client was still inquiring and waiting for responses. Subsequent contact, indication was for fans to be sent up and they would stick it out. I informed her that the discount of 25% would be applied for her inconvenience, this client became very combative and said that would not be acceptable to her, the counter was first night free and 25 % off the second night. The promise was to file a complaint everywhere possible. This client never notified us of her departure or this lengthy list of discontents which are stated in this review. Her last communication about her intent to stay or leave was to inform us that they were staying. Every effort was made to find her alternative accommodations, which this client chose not to accept.
Comfortable and convenient
This was my first experience staying in an apartment during a vacation and it really worked out for me. The apartment was convenient to the conference center and the theme parks (short and inexpensive uber trips). Having a Publix supermarket close nearby was a plus. Unfortunately did not get a chance to use many of the amenities such as the pool or fitness center but they looked well kept. Would definitely consider a HomeAway on my next vacation.
