The name itself, 'A Tranquil Retreat', describes to a tee, our fully furnished non-smoking/no pets townhouse located near the end of a quiet road where all that can be heard is the sound of the surf! We are steps from the paved Discovery Trail and the short path to the beach. Beautiful sunset and ocean views await you from the living room and upper deck. Three block walk to restaurants, shops, and activities in downtown Long Beach. If you are looking for a party house, than this isn't it at all . . . a neighborhood couldn't be any quieter than this!

Upstairs is an open floor plan with living room, dining area with seating for six, a 1/2 bath, and a fully stocked kitchen. The upstairs deck has a propane BBQ grill, and an ocean view. There is a queen sofabed in the living room. Downstairs is the master bedroom with a walk-in closet, an electric fireplace, and a deck that has a front row seat to the famous Bolstad beach approach kite and fireworks displays during 4th of July, the Kite Festival in August, and New Years Eve. There is a Parklane King bed with premium hotel grade mattress/boxsprings. On this same floor there is a guest room with a Parklane Queen bed, with premium hotel grade mattress/boxsprings. Bedbug protection on all mattresses. In addition, a full bath with tub and shower, a washer and dryer, and a one car garage are located on the first floor.

Free Wi-Fi; HD TV in living room; DVD player, and stereo are provided for your comfort and pleasure. There are board games and puzzles for those rainy days at the beach, and a propane fireplace for those chilly evenings in the living room. Maximum six people, including children. No pets, no smoking. No RV's or trailers due to limited space unless parked on north side of street.

About The Owner

My husband and I have been coming to Long Beach for annual 'retreats' since we met in 1984. Because we spend so much time at the beach, we decided to buy a home here.

When we saw the view from this townhouse and the quietness of the neighborhood, we knew that this was the place. It is truly a tranquil retreat!

Quiet, peaceful, serene, home away from home with a view! Far away from the every day noise, stress, and gridlock. All you hear is the sound of that surf! What you see is ocean and beautiful sunsets. Our 'Ahhhh' moments. . . Keeps the blood pressure down. Can't get any better than this!

we wouldn't stay anywhere else if we go to Long Beach...and the neighbor on the other side got the garbage can chained up so that it cannot be accessed by the bear....Oh! We saw deer grazing right across the road from us....all in all it was magnificent!!!

A perfect family getaway.

We are a family of 6 with teenagers and small children. The condo had a little of everything for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds comfortable, and it was very clean. The garage was handy for coming in from the beach sandy and the washer and dryer were a great convenience. There were sand toys and kites provided, as well as a good selection of games and movies. It is situated at the end of a quiet street where a short path leads to the discovery trail and beach. There is also a nice upper deck with chairs and a view of the ocean. We will definitely visit again and reccomend this location to our friends and family.

This a beautiful condo that is close to the beach and within walking distance to the town of Long Beach. This is our second year staying at this condo and we enjoyed the stay immensely!

Great vacation rental owned by gracious hosts

Fully stocked kitchen and very nicely furnished two bedroom 1.5 bath condo. Unit is a few feet from the main north south bike trail that goes for miles from Long Beach. Very short walk to the ocean. Great accommodations for our anniversary celebration but would have worked equally well for a family gathering of up to six folks.
