Why Noel Salt chose Downtown Phoenix
Woodlea is beautiful, green, with large mature trees. The area is quiet and accommodating to get you anywhere around town you need to go. Whether you are heading downtown to cultural venues or sporting events or coming into town for the best Spring Training baseball on the planet, this is the place to be for your Phoenix vacation plans. The studio apartment is newly renovated (2016) and we've put attention to detail to ensure you have a delightful stay.
What makes this Cottage unique
You will have covered and secure parking with your own private gated entrance from the rear of the property. Brick patio with firepit and grill. For inside accommodations we've tried to think of everything we and our guests would want to have for a stand-out vacation experience. We have booked many VRBO properties for our vacation stays. So, we appreciate the value and benefits that can come from being hosted by a family that cares and puts attention to detail. We are super hosts with that other site. We look forward to hosting you.

Everything was perfect! We enjoyed your home, your neighborhood(we walked it every morning), and the dogs! Thank you
for sharing with us.
Cozy, cute Cottage
This cottage has everything you need. Beautifully decorated, and very private. Stayed March 10 thru the 15, to see the Dodgers at Camelback Ranch during spring training. Twenty minute drive from the cottage to the games. The Salts met us at the gate when we arrived, Sara showed us around the cottage and was available to help us if we had any questions. She even had a bottle of sparkling wine for us, which was delicious by the way. The only complaint was the weather. It rained all day on Tuesday. We were hoping to spend the day at Lake Pleasant with friends, just a 30 minute drive away. We still found things to do nearby the cottage. We went to go see a movie, there are craft breweries nearby, if you like craft beer (we do). We really liked Sun Up Brewery. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, or just stay in. We made spaghetti. We definitely recommend staying here. If we come back next year for spring training, we would absolutely love to book another stay here.
Fabulous little cottage has everything you need and very clean.
When we arrived we were met at the gate by barking dogs. That is literally THE ONLY TIME their dogs barked at us. We were introduced to the dogs the next morning and we were like old pals. Through our whole week stay we heard their dogs bark once and it’s because obviously someone or something was in the alley alerting the owners. We didn’t get a chance to visit much with Noel and Sarah as we were on the go the whole time but you can tell by the presence of the whole property they are very good people and want to make sure your stay is great! The little cottage was perfect and very clean. Would definitely stay here again.
Wonderful week in the cottage. Cozy. Everything we needed was there.
The cottage was clean It’s located behind Noel and Sarah’s house. They were available whenever we had questions. Noel printed a letter that was emailed to us. We picked a dozen lemons to take home which Sarah encouraged. Really liked the security of a gate after we pulled in the parking spot and the security of the dogs although they didn’t bark much. Would recommend to anyone. Noel and Sarah are great hosts.
Only one thing left it short of 5 Stars
Accommodations were really nice. It was spacious enough for just the two of us. The one and only knock is that the heat/AC was set to a program. We were in Phoenix during unseasonably cold weather. The overnight lows were in the 30's. We had the heat set before going to bed and then over night it would shut off based on a timer. Other than that the hosts were nice and responsive. The accommodations suited our needs.
Cozy Comfy Cottage
We definitely recommend staying at Salt House and would stay there again if we return to the Phoenix area. Sarah and Noel were very friendly, helpful and thoughtful in outfitting the cottage with everything we could possibly need. The comfortable bed and walk-in shower were a bonus. The neighborhood was quiet and conveniently located within walking distances to area businesses. We were within 20 minutes of many fine golf courses. The cottage was a nice place to come home to at the end of the day.
Woodlea-Melrose is great for walking and biking. Neighbors are friendly and watch out for each other. We have a monthly "Front Yard Friday" hosted September - May. If you are staying with us on the weekend we will be sure to let you know. It's a bring your own drink event that's great for meeting new people and getting info on what is going on around town. The First Friday art event has venues within walking distance. Also, 7th Ave between Camelback and Indian School is famous for it's antique shops.
