For over 9 years, Indigo Cottage has been offering high quality holiday accommodation for visitors to the Beechworth area. We are proud of our cottage and the many positive guest reviews we receive.
Indigo Cottage was built for a miner in the 1890s. While it retains its old world charm, it also offers modern comforts such as renovated bathroom, kitchen, modern heating and air conditioning.
Indigo cottage has three charming bedrooms, an open fire in the living room, stunning panoramic views of the Gorge and a delightful cottage garden. In winter, enjoy your meal in the dining room with the fire; in summer, eat outdoors on the elevated deck with views of the Bull Rock and the surrounding hills.
Indigo Cottage is situated in a quiet area about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Beechworth.

"We just loved your house and garden, what gorgeous surrounds. My four year old couldn't stop talking about how much she loved it all, then cried when we left. The girls looked for fairies in the garden and were disappointed not to find any... thank you for having us, it was brilliant. ” June 2017
"I think I have stayed in every pet friendly property in Beechworth....NOTHING ever comes close to Indigo Cottage. We have loved every minute of our time in this relaxing home the view is amazing, the house so cozy, the beds so comfy and to top things off it is in my favourite town" Feb 2017
"Well, what can we say...We love Beechworth and have stayed in a few houses...None of them has such a great space for our old mate Max! ... So tick for Space Garden, Birds & more: tick for wonderful walks and coffee ad a huge tick for comfort, set up and comfy bed. But three ticks for the rainbow that hit the wall in the lounge this afternoon. We felt so relaxed here that my blood pressure fell by ten points...I need to return and soon" (March 2016)

"What a delightful, welcoming cottage. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The beds are cosy, the kitchen well equipped, the fire was laid, the outlook beautiful. What more could you want." (September 2015)
"What a wonderful house. Very cosy and comfortable. Using the wood fire was great. Great to be able to chill out in house and look at garden after 3 weeks of travelling. Despite the rain and mist, we have loved the house and Beechworth. What a find" (July 2015)

We had 3 lovely days at Indigo cottage. The rooms were generous and well furnished, beds comfortable, fire ready for lighting, bathroom warm and well appointed. Kitchen had good coffee and everything else you could possibly need. The cottage gardens are well planned and pretty, and there are lovely views from all aspects. Walking distance to eating, shopping and tourist walks. Very quiet with lots of birds, good verandah for relaxing. Perfect mini break especially around autumn when the leaves are spectacular. Exceeded expectations - highly recommend.
Sue, great to have you staying. So nice that people enjoy Indigo and so nice that we get such visitors. Recommended. Eric
What an awesome place to stay. Beautifully presented and more than met our expectations. Exceptionally pet friendly with a very secure garden which was explored in every corner by our furry four footed family.
If I owned this house I'd be living in it rather than letting it out, it is so inviting. We were very grateful we were able to share in it's ambiance.
Our second stay. As good as it was the first time, and that was very good. Comfortable, well-equipped. Efficient heating and open fire appreciated. The large enclosed back garden much enjoyed, especially by the dog.
I love this house
This is a warm and inviting house in a tranquil garden settting
Indigo Cottage is tastefully furnished and catered well for my husband, my nine year old nephew and my ten year old Labrador. The garden is delightful and from the kitchen window there is an interesting view of the gorge.
Fantastic Dog Friendly Cottage
Very well equipped cottage - we did not want for anything. The extra little touches like fresh flowers were just lovely. The fully fenced secure large yard was perfect for our dogs and ourselves! Great location, an easy walk to the Bakery for morning tea each day. Thank you for sharing this great property.
