Dockside Green is the first certified Leed Platinum Development located in the vibrant community of Victoria West, endearing called Vic West, which is about 10 minutes away from the Victorian downtown core just off the Victoria Harbour. The land embraces both the historic spirit of the Songhees First Nations Tribe, who inhabited the area until 1911, and the modernization of the 20th century. The area holds the first shipyard in Victoria that was established in 1873 and still continues to be used thus adding to the dynamic Vic West landscape.

Dockside Green is located close to the Westside Village shopping area, which includes, Save-On-Foods grocery and supermarket, Starbucks for your everyday caffeine fix, Spinnakers beer and wine store, Safra Day Spa, medical centre, pharmacy as well as local eateries. For a sip of something unique and local, there is Café Fantastico – specialty coffee that offers a selection of locally roasted beans and traditionally brewed coffee, which can be enjoyed with immaculate water views and natural landscapes close to the Galloping Goose Regional Trail. Close to the café is the locally owned Fol Epi (which means “Wild Wheat Stalk”) bakery, which creates organic pastries and breads from locally sourced farmers.

There is GoodLife Fitness club down the street that offers both women only as well as Co-ed hours.

Dockside Green is conveniently located to a variety of bus routes and biking lanes for ease of transportation such as to the university and downtown core.

For the outdoor person, Dockside Green offers a variety of activities such as biking, running, walking or hopping along the Galloping Goose Regional Trail that stretches from the east end of the Johnson Street Bridge to the Sooke River Valley. Kayaking, Dragon Boat paddling and Stand-Up Paddle boarding is another pastime that one can enjoy close to home with rentals just long the Selkirk Waterway.

This bright and spacious condo unit is located on the fifth floor of the second phrase of the Dockside Green Development called Balance which outlooks the inner Gorge Waterway where kayakers and dragon boaters are a common view. There is an outdoor propane barbecue on the patio that can be enjoyed all year round. The kitchen is fully equipped with a vast variety off cooking utensils such as a scale for measuring precise ingredients, rice cooker and baking thingamabobs. Within the kitchen are a coffee maker, French Bodum grinder and coffee press and tea thermometer to measure the perfect cup of tea or coffee that can be enjoyed on the covered patio area on a beautiful Victorian day. There is a gas stove, oven and large microwave all at ones fingertips. For a restful sleep, the unit possesses a comfortable Sterns and Foster Queen Bed with numerous pillows, a lush duvet and bedding that will ensure sweet dreams. The bathroom showcases a large sit-in tub for those relaxing days and a walk-in shower for those on the go, in both cases hot water is included as part of the utilities. Due to the environmental nature of the development, the unit hosts energy efficient and low-flow plumbing appliances. For those lazy days there is a Samsung Television, PVR, Blue ray and Apple TV all connected on a highspeed wireless network. There is also a bike storage area and locker that is available upon request if required by guest. There is underground secure parking for one vehicle however there is numerous street parking for your guest. The entire building is non smoking and there are no pets allowed in the unit.

Pet friendly downtown apartment!

Very clean, centrally located apartment. It was lovely to be able to stay in a pet friendly accommodation. Great access to downtown and the Galloping Goose. Very walkable! Appreciated the secure parking. Our host was great and checked with us frequently and was available in case of any issues. Thank you very much!

Great Place!

Its a great location and great place. All the amenities are as per the description and very accurate. The place is kept very clean and well maintained. You can find all the supplies you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well equipped with all appliances for those who enjoy cooking. The shopping complex across the street is very convenient and the place is just next to the goose trail, and a 15 minute walk to downtown. Owen and Haydee were amazing hosts! I would definitely recommend this place and consider it for the future for myself.

Best place to spend a month in Victoria

My wife and I and our dog arrived in Victoria and needed a place for a month while we searched for a permanent place to live. We have travelled all over the world and rented apartments in many countries, this was the best equipped place we have ever been in. It has every thing you could think of to make your stay pleasant and if for some reason you are missing something Owen&Haydee will go out of their way to get it. Also this unit is a ten minute stroll to downtown Victoria and a short walk to two great trails. Grocery, Starbucks and a post office/pharmacy are 3 minutes away and a local coffee and organic bakery are 2 minutes away. If you need to be in Victoria for any reason this is the place to stay.
