Warm, clean and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

Clean with modern kitchen and living area. We were provided with all the amenities. Heaps of wildlife at the back door. Peaceful location. Fireplace was a lifesaver with an abundance of wood. Would stay again.

So quiet on such a busy weekend

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for 4 nights over Easter. Busy in town but so quiet at Serenity yet so close. Excellent facilities, even foil and glad wrap. Absolutely loved cooking in the kitchen looking out on the National Park and the sun shining in the big windows. Amazing fire warmed the whole house in minutes. The comfiest couch ever to sink into after long walks. Wildlife visitors in the yard all weekend. House had everything you could ever need. Went home very relaxed. Glenn great to deal with.

Great property

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with parents who were over from Ireland, and had a fantastic time.

The location is perfect (short walk to the shops) and the house itself is idyllic.

Clean, comfortable and very well catered for. The wildlife show from the deck is a massive bonus as is the cosy fire. Would highly recommend.

Quiet place to stay in Halls Gap

  • 5 of 5

Serenity is well located away from the crowds around the main shops at halls Gap only a short walk away. The view from the lovely combined living dining and kitchen of the bush is very restful. Lots of opportunities to spot kangaroos and deer from both the house and oversized rear deck. The cottage is well appointed and well set up for high temperatures we experienced with both blinds to control glare and air conditioning. I imagine the slow combustion heater would be very effective in winter.

Solo Travellor

  • 5 of 5

I booked Serenity for a solo getaway so needless to say the place was plenty spacious. After driving about 4 hours and much of it through the rain, I arrived at Halls Gap. The clouds parted as I entered the house and as I sat on the back porch, sipping tea after my long journey, and breathed in the fresh air, I knew peace. Serenity felt just like home but so much better, quieter and peaceful. The night was stormy, the winds howled outside and I felt the thrill of experiencing nature's fury. The next morning was cloudy and windy again with scattered rain but my mood was instantly lightened as I opened the back doors, stepped onto the back deck and saw a family of deer just quietly grazing away. It was such a beautiful moment. I later hiked the Wonderland loop (starting from Clematis fall) and drove to Mackenzie falls, all within easy reach of Serenity. It's a such a perfect location :) Returning in the afternoon, I saw an emu in the backyard and two kangaroos across the creek-bed. Delightful! Said goodbye to the cockatoo and deer on my last morning here. This has been the perfect getaway. Perfect, clean accommodation and great location.

Will definitely return to Serenity for a longer stay and explore more of the beautiful Grampians wilderness.
