Location, location, location. We offer 2 Chalets, our 2-bedroom "back" Chalet (featured here -- scroll down to read more ABOUT THIS CHALET below) and our 1-bedroom "front" Chalet, VRBO 370657. Our Chalets are located an easy 2 blocks west of Courthouse Square in historic Prescott (pronounced “Pres-kitt”) – at one time the pre-state capital of the Arizona Territory. Festivals abound just about every weekend during mild weather seasons, often held right at Courthouse Square -- jazz, blues, arts -- you name it! In addition, Prescott features interesting museums, casinos, our nation's oldest rodeo in July, antique shopping, upscale shopping, outdoor year-round Farmer’s Markets, and 450 miles of hiking and biking with 5 lakes in the area.
It's a pleasant and quick walk from our Chalets to great restaurants, entertainment, and every variety of shopping. Our incredible location -- just two blocks from Prescott's historic Courthouse Square and the center of many of Prescott’s activities and festivals – is, without a doubt, one of the BEST. There’s rarely a need to drive once you get here – just park and leave your vehicle** in our private, off-street lot** – and this is a huge PLUS during any downtown/Courthouse Square event when parking is at a premium. (** One small-regular sized car/van/truck -- sorry, no oversized vehicles, extended bed trucks or RVs. Street parking is available.)
Our Chalet grounds feature lovely and simple Arizona landscaping, on-site parking**, privacy fencing rimmed by soothing shade trees, a vine-covered pergola walkway, and in mild weather.... a little herb garden for use by our guests who love to cook! During the summer, you can hear the cicadas sing. Close to downtown, yet it feels private and secluded – and so-o-o-o-o-o relaxing!
Did you know Prescott is known as Arizona’s “Christmas City?” That’s because Courthouse Square is beautifully lit for the holidays (about early December – mid-January: confirm exact dates with Prescott’s Chamber of Commerce https://prescott.org/). There’s also a crazy western “Boot Drop” and mini street festival (Prescott’s answer to New York’s Times Square festivities) on New Year’s Eve at Courthouse Square. You can actually see Prescott’s New Year’s fireworks from our Chalets.
There is always something happening in Prescott, Arizona – everyone’s home town!
OR…. mix it up a little bit and take a fun day trip to Jerome, Sedona, Flagstaff, Grand Canyon, or Phoenix/Scottsdale!
ABOUT THIS CHALET....
VRBO #367805, our 2-bedroom "back" Chalet, was built in 2002 and is a roomy 1,510 square feet. Our back Chalet's large front deck features rocking chairs and patio furniture, including an eat-out table. Our back Chalet shares a gas grill and on-site parking** with any occupants of our front, 1-bedroom Chalet, VRBO #370657. (** One small-regular sized car/van/truck -- sorry, no oversized vehicles, extended bed trucks or RVs. Street parking is available.)
Our back Chalet's rear patio is for your use only and features patio furniture, including a dining table, and a Weber charcoal grill. This Chalet's first floor includes a great room with comfortable seating, decorative (non-working) fireplace, 42” HD flat screen TV with cable service and many Roku free streaming channels, sound bar plus speakers, and wireless high speed internet. Our great room also has a full-size sofa sleeper couch. Our Chalet’s eat-in kitchen is fully equipped and includes a kitchen table plus a center island/bar with stools, offering total seating for 8. All kitchenware and upgraded appliances are provided, plus a selection of spices for use by our cooking guests. A guest room with a full-size bed is also on the first floor, plus a separate full bath with shower, and a washer/ dryer.
The Chalet’s upstairs features a lovely master bedroom suite with a California King, sleep number bed and a flat screen TV. The den/office loft is fully equipped for a "working vacation" -- bring your laptop, then use our large, high definition computer monitor; Apple keyboard; HP Envy printer; and Google Mesh wifi network! (But just make sure to have some fun too!) Our master bath provides a super roomy shower with Kohler fixtures, two separate sinks/vanity areas, and a large walk-in closet.
Please note this is strictly a NON-SMOKING house, porch, AND outdoor premises.
NO PETS are allowed in this Chalet. However, we do allow pets [dog(s) -- must be pre-approved by management] in our 1-bedroom Chalet, VRBO #370657, which is located on the same property as this 2-bedroom Chalet.
ALL reservations are subject to management approval. We accept all major credit cards. A security deposit will be collected as part of the HomeAway online booking payments and will be in an amount and managed as described on this HomeAway listing.
Also, please note our property has a strictly outside, non-audio, camera system focused only on access points, public view areas, and our equipment shed which is located behind our "back" Chalet.

We fell in love with Prescott for its warm and friendly people, wonderful and mild four-season climate, and the endless entertainment and activities available here. Prescott is, without a doubt, “America's favorite home town!”
Why Laura chose Prescott
This mile-high community provides four distinct seasons and generally mild temperatures. There are endless activities sponsored by an active and friendly community. Our Chalets are within a short walking distance to much of this beautiful historic town. Our incredible location -- just two blocks from Prescott's historic Courthouse Square and the center of many of Prescott’s activities and festivals – is, without a doubt, one of the BEST. There’s rarely a need to drive once you get here – just park and leave your car in our private, off-street lot** – and this is a huge PLUS during any downtown/Courthouse Square event when parking is at a premium. And Prescott’s proximity to other classic southwestern towns – Phoenix, Scottsdale, Flagstaff, Sedona, and Jerome – just can’t be beat!
What makes this House unique
We enjoy a leisurely walk around nearby Courthouse Square just about any time, but especially when it’s beautifully lit up for the Christmas season or hosting a special event. Visiting local shops offering everything from antiques, western attire and furnishings, and high fashion to kitschy tourist memorabilia; attending the many weekend outdoor events (often held at Courthouse Square); shopping at the outdoor Farmer’s Markets held year-round; reading a book while sitting on the porch; or just simply enjoying the beautiful night skies and the cicadas’ melodies on a warm summer evening…. there’s so much to LOVE about Prescott and our Chalets’ great location. And when we don’t feel like cooking, we simply walk into town to enjoy a meal at one of our many “favorite” restaurants – most of them just minutes away by foot.

Wonderful Unit close to square
Lovely two bedroom unit within a five minute walk to the main square. Well appointed kitchen. Wonderful cable system. Would recommend highly.
WOW what a cool place!
I stayed at the 2BR Chalet w/ my wife and we LOVED it. It's right in downtown Prescott, a short walk away from all the coolest bars, restaurants and shops. The home was extremely clean and tidy, with clear instructions for operating everything. The garden out back is very peaceful, and there is a porch out front that's perfect for relaxing. It's the perfect spot, and a great value for the price!
The property was beautiful, well equipped and centrally located to all the fun and games in Prescot.
It was easy to get around from there. We were able to get to Prescott Valley to visit my family very easily. But we were in the middle of the action as well. The youngins were able to go for walks and shopping. There was even a rummage sale across the street. We ordered out one night and only had to run across the street to Rosa's for very yummy pizza! Hanging out on the deck in the morning with a cup of coffee and pie from Black Canyon City was really fun. So much better than a motel! The kitchen was fully appointed and it was easy to cook brunch after a quick stop at the grocery store for supplies.
The chalet is decorated really nicely with a great office area up in the loft.
We had a wonderful time! Kind of lunge going to our own up north cottage but nicer!
Kitty -- we very much enjoyed having your extended family group stay at our Chalet -- especially since you are, like us, Wisconsin Cheeseheads. While we were (stuck) back in Wisconsin dealing with the unending Spring snow and did not get the opportunity to personally welcome you to our Chalet, we do feel like we got to know you and your group at least a little bit through our phone call, texts, and then seeing your great pictures of both our Chalet and Prescott on social media. We'd certainly love it if you would recommend our Chalet and Prescott to your Wisconsin friends, as it is the perfect alternative to our typical Midwest "no-Spring Spring." We've stayed at the Chalet a handful of times. Each time keeps getting better. Laura (owner) is very accommodating and detailed when it comes to checking in and out. This house is walking distance (5 mins) to shops, restaurants, and the famous Whiskey Row bars. We love Prescott and love staying at the Chalet. We can't wait to come back!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful Chalet. The office was very nicely outfitted and the mesh network provided a great signal throughout the house. The location was very close to all the action on Whiskey Row and we ended up walking to dinner each night. Very close but also secluded on the back of the property.

And you brought up a great point — if someone is staying at the Chalet for work-related reasons or just doing a “working vacation“ — we have an office set up for guest use with a large, high definition monitor; Apple keyboard; HP network printer; and of course, our brand new Google mesh network. The Chalet is a nicely decorated and cozy place to stay. It has all updated appliances, and pretty much everything you need in the kitchen, including a good selection of spices. Everything inside is very clean and well taken care of. The outside porch area is a great place to relax after a long day of walking around town. It is in a perfect location; only two blocks from Whiskey Row and all the delicious restaurants nearby. I loved my stay here! I would definitely recommend this Chalet to my friends and will be coming back here for future visits to Prescott.

Located just 2 blocks from the city center -- the beautiful Courthouse Square, plus the famous "Whiskey Row," great restaurants, entertainment venues, and all the other great happenings in historic downtown Prescott. The city presents free activities in Courthouse Square many days and nights, especially during the warmer months. Prescott is close to Jerome, Sedona, Flagstaff, and the Grand Canyon. Phoenix/Scottsdale are only 100 miles to the south. Flying in??? -- you don’t need to rent a car unless you want to take day trips out Prescott since the "Arizona Shuttle" service makes numerous trips to/from Prescott and the Phoenix airport every day -- just ask to be dropped off at the Hassayampa Inn stop and you can easily walk to our Chalets in about 10 minutes (all downhill — so not a bad walk, even with a little luggage). Or pay a little extra and asked to be dropped off right at the Chalet.

Stays of 30 days or over are taxed at a lower 2.75% versus the higher published rate here. However, as we only have the ability to input one tax rate into the HomeAway/VRBO system, we will either refund excess tax paid back to you or amend your quote in order to give you that lower tax rate. Rates are subject to change until reservation is confirmed and all reservations are subject to management approval.
