We live in Reno and love being able to share our lovely getaway with others. As our children have grown and left the nest, we find we don't go up to the lake as often as we should. If you want a place to go where you can relax in comfort and escape the outside world - you've found it. This is a small complex with all the amenities you want. The access to the lake and private beach is easy and a rare find at Tahoe.
After years of renting places for our summer vacations, we couldn't beleive our good fortune when we were able to accomplish our dream of having our own place at Tahoe. Face it - who doesn't love Tahoe? We knew we would keep it forever, passing it on to future generations. When we decide to open up the place as a vaction rental, we wanted to make guests would have a positive experience. We certainly had our share of 'surprises' back when we were renting places so we strive to make our place feel like your place. The location is very desireable. It is a small copmplex- 52 total units - spread out over a large area. You can wander off into the woods and lose yourself in the serenity. You can walk or bike into town (Tahoe City 2.5 miles). The tennis courts are rarely full and there is a beautiful pool with comfortable chairs/lounges, tables and even real rest rooms! The beach is well maintained and staffed with helpful people. No need to bring an umbrella or chair, they have them at your disposal. You can launch your boat nearby (Coast Guard Station - Lake Forest) for day use or rent one in town. In the winter you have your choice of many world class ski areas nearby (10-15 miles). Want some night life? Just 45 minutes to Reno. 20 minutes to Truckee or Incline Village. South Lake Tahoe is about an hour away. We are proud to share our lovely vacation home with you and promise to do our best to make sure your first visit isn't your last.
It was very pleasant --I especially appreciated what a nice job was done keeping the roads and walkways free of snow The actual condo was nice and cozy.
It was a fantastic experience. The location was perfect. The property was very nice. Well maintained with all the amenities. I felt very comfortable there. It was also in a great location that allowed easy access to the shoreline, shops, restaurants, and great hikes. The owners of the property also made it so easy to stay there and were very helpful.
We took the in laws to Tahoe for a long weekend and needed a nice place with a pool for my daughter. This condo association has a lot of nice amenities including a very nice private beach, tennis courts, bocce ball (bring your own balls), and horse shoes. All of these are in excellent condition. The pool w was refreshing, slightly warmer than the lake.
This condo has been recently renovated and has nice bathrooms and we really liked the king mattress downstairs. The furniture was in good condition and comfortable. The style is sort of mid century cabin - modern and not kitchy but still sort of mountain rustic. There is some pretty nice art on the walls.
My only complaint would be the kitchen which is kind of small, and a left hinged single door refrigerator would be better than the side by side which was awkward. The barbeque is excellent and we enjoyed sitting on the deck.
The condo is in a bedroom community. The only stores you could conceivably walk to is a 7 11. It's a great place to get away from it all. You can walk to the pool and beach, but if you are looking for nightlife or a coffee shop it is a drive. It has some outdoor storage which would be good for skis, but there is no garage for bikes. You can possibly leave your water equipment locked up at the beach. Maybe bring a lock and cable?
Our family of four (kids 4 and 7) stayed here over the Fourth of July holiday week. Even on this busy holiday week the beach and pool were never too crowded and the beach staff had plenty of umbrellas and chairs for guests. We have stayed at a number of VRBO properties over the last few years in many different areas and this home is one of the best. The owners informed us that they had just finished updating the master suite and installing new carpet, paint. Very well done. The beds were exceptionally comfortable! All of the furniture was comfortable.
We tend to cook most nights and the kitchen here was very well stocked with quality cookware and utensils, not always a given in our experience. It really feels like cooking in a friend's home- including a decent spice cabinet and storage bags and containers for leftovers.
Our kids loved the big screen "Smart" TV watching cartoons on Netflix. Meanwhile, the adults were on the deck enjoying the Tahoe air and views. As other reviewers have mentioned- the little things that make a stay comfortable have all been provided from tissues to Phone charging blocks and cables. If it weren't Tahoe you might be tempted to stay inside!
We had a wonderful experience here! The place was very nice and in proximity to restaurants, grocery stores, and resorts. Parking is easy. You can also take an easy walk to the beach (we were the only people there and got to enjoy a sunset to ourselves)! There is also a nice view of the lake from this property. The owners are very communicative and helpful; we received clear easy instructions for check in/out and small helpful notes are left around the place for all the appliances/fireplace/wifi etc.
One of the things that makes this place stand out are the conveniences of fully stocked rooms. The kitchen had everything we needed to make 6+ homemade meals, and we found everything we could have possibly needed for our stay. Examples include, ample bath towels, lots of extra blankets, Kleenex in each room, air freshener in each bathroom, shampoo/conditioner, Tupperware, paper towels, and even phone chargers. There is a lot more, but the bottom line is that the owners make an effort to provide you with everything you need to have a comfortable stay.
Would highly recommend! Thank you!
We have stayed here twice and it's become our home away from home. We have been renting vacation homes at Tahoe for 30 years and this is the best place we have ever stayed. It's very quiet, has a beautiful view, and is a pleasant short walk to the lake with a private beach and pier. The three levels allow lots of privacy for our multi-generational family. Can't wait to go back!
A great place to come back to after a full day of skiing!
Close proximity to restaurants, stores and skiing.
Perfect for a family getaway or a group of friends getting away for the weekend.
This is our second year staying here and will definitely book for next season.
The owner has always been very accommodating and helpful. Many thanks Lyle!!
