We are a family who loves the mountains! We live in the Chicago area and have traveled to Colorado for many years. We love to hike in Rocky Mountain National Park and sometimes just sit by a mountain stream or lake to enjoy the beauty.
Susan and Gary Segal purchased this house in 2007
Estes Park was our first choice because of the National Park and all it's amenities and grandeur. We had been all over Colorado and love it in the summer. We did not want to be in a ski area as the National Park is the best place to hike and be in the Spring, Summer and Fall!
It is such a pleasure being five minutes from the entrance Rocky Mountain National Park, five minutes from downtown Estes Park, and most of all, being able to sit on our deck or in our private hot tub and just look at the majestic scenery of the Continental Divide!
Loved the home! Comfortable and beautifully decorated. Especially loved the location! Surrounded by trees with spectacular view of mountains and wildlife. Saw a herd of elk just yards from the house! Well stocked kitchen to prepare our family Thanksgiving dinner. Great location. Close to downtown Estes Pk. And RMNP.
We had a wonderful time celebrating our 50 th wedding anniversary. The house was beautiful and very clean. Ther were a couple of minor things , like iron didn't work, but figured we were on vacation so why worry about wrinkled clothes! There were 4 couples that were celebrating milestones in marriage or turning the big 50!! We saw deer a couple of times just walking through the streets. We also had some come almost in the backyard. Saw turkey walking through the yard early one morning. And to top the week off, the Aspens were so beautiful. We hit the week of wonderful weather and beautiful trees. We would stay at this place if ever Iin Estes park again.
The House was beautiful and comfortable. We are so glad we selected it because not only was the inside great but the view was fabulous. We looked out at the lake, mountains and even had deer in the yard. I highly recommend it.
We were extremely pleased with our rental in Estes Park - would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a home for a family gathering. We enjoyed watching wildlife from the deck, grilling, playing games as well as the convenience to Rocky Mountain Park & downtown Estes Park. A great place to gather before we attended a family wedding in Lyons. 👍👍👍
We had a wonderful family reunion in this beautiful home. Grandma and grandpa traveled from Florida and enjoyed the luxurious master suite with the king bed, large bathroom with twin sinks, and the huge walk-in closet. Our daughter and son-in-law traveled from California with their toddler and stayed in one bedroom. Our son and his girlfriend (Colorado people) stayed in the other bedroom. The kids really enjoyed the separate downstairs living room space and deck with hot tub. We all comfortably fit in the upstairs living room with fireplace, and cooked many family meals in the large, well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the great views from both decks, and took advantage of them daily. The location was great, just a short distance from RMNP and just the right distance away from downtown Estes Park. Everyone loved the stay here. Hope to be back again.
We really enjoyed our family vacation at this house. We had 6 adults and 2 kids. The location was prefect. Easy access to town and RMNP. The open concept of the house made it very inviting for lots of family togetherness especially during dinner time. The hot tub was great after a long hike!
My only issue was we were gonna put the kids on the sleeper sofa and Futon as it is advertised. However we could not find the futon. My daughter left a message with the care takers but never heard back. It wasn't a big deal as our 12 year old grandson that it was cool to make his room in the mater suite closet because it was so big.
We visit Colorado every 3- 4 years and would easily come back and stay at the house!!!
Magnificent hiking trails are minutes from the house and some of the most beautiful mountain vistas in North America! Golfing, boating and championship fishing abound in the park, rivers and local lakes. 5 minutes from the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, 5 minutes from the town of Estes Park. 35 miles from Boulder and 1.20 minutes to Denver! View wildlife, including elk and deer all over town and in the front yard of our home! Miniature golf, horseback riding and other activities in town.
