Back for another perfect vacation

  • 5 of 5

After a wonderful experience here last year, we re-booked for the same time period this year. Just as before, we were delighted with the accommodations. This time we had an infant, but the bedrooms provide so much privacy that we didn't hear a peep from him at night! Can't imagine a better place for a large party to stay in the Santa Cruz area.

Owner's Response: I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay as before. We just can't seem to find the time to go to the beach as much now that the children are all gone. I cannot wait for your party to come back and stay with us next year. Best, Lana We are delighted to have you back year after year. Thank you for the vote of confidence. We are so happy that you can take advantage of everything the condo has to offer, the stunning view, the easy access to the beach, and the lay back attitude of a true California beach vacation. See you again next summer. Best Lana

Pajaro dunes vacation

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time the house was large and roomy for the whole family and it does not get much better than the beach. The weather was great. Would do it again.

Very nice, comfortable, beautiful views

  • 4 of 5

Everything was definitely workable. Lana is very responsive, and so was the management service. The setting is lovely and access to beach quite easy considering we're on the third floor.

We had a leak at the kitchen sink which the management dealt with quickly.

There were a few small other problems - a couple of the beds were sort of uncomfortable and the towel racks in the hallway bathroom kept falling down. Pots and pans were plentiful but mostly old teflon, with mismatched lids. The kitchen has been beautifully remodeled but a little attention to the equipment would be useful. Also there was very little in the way of food staples, almost empty salt & pepper, a little sugar and a bottle of vegetable oil. I'm used to a bit more in vacation rentals, but I know that's not standard.

We would definitely stay here again. Coming from the bay area for the weekend, it would be worth leaving Friday morning - or else after dinner. It took 1.5 hours from Oakland for the family that left at 7pm; those of us who left at 2:30 pm took 3.5 hours.

Can't wait to come back every year

  • 5 of 5

For the fourth year in a row, we enjoyed Lana's hospitality in her spacious condo by the ocean. It continues to meet all the needs of our group of eight, from comfy bedrooms to clean bathrooms and a kitchen that allows for multiple cooks. The highlights are the stunning view of the ocean and the easy access to the beautiful long sandy beach. This year we fit in four campfires. Many wonderful memories. Thanks, Lana!

Beautiful Property

  • 4 of 5

PROS:

The condo is very spacious

Well equipped kitchen

Clean

Plenty of beds and extra linens

Washer and dryer in unit

Lana is very helpful within her limits, she always responded promptly and always made herself available for questions etc.

CONS:

the management team proved to be less than stellar, supplies such as toilet paper, trash bags, and laundry detergent are severely limited.. When I requested more supplies they were very unorganized and apparently failed to pass on the message that a unit needed supplies so they fulfilled the request only a couple hours before we checked out (and possibly only because Lana had to call them in the morning.

the TVs in 3 of the bedrooms do not work which should be fine if you're spending your day out of the condo but we had kids during our stay and we definitely felt their absence.

All in all I would book this condo again because I loved the location so much, the condo is very spacious, Lana is a sweetheart, and it has a great view. It definitely could stand some upgrades with the TVs and the furniture...but that is not a big deal to me.

Thanks Lana for being available and so helpful

Once again, a wonderful vacation

  • 5 of 5

For the third year in a row, we enjoyed this beautiful condo-by-the-sea. The location is perfect, the amenities are many, and the views are really spectacular. This time we had two evenings of campfires on the beach just steps from Lana's lovely vacation home. We will return for as long as she makes it available to weary souls in need of rest and relaxation, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the ocean. Thank you!

Owner's Response: I am so glad that you get to enjoy the condo and its fantastic view. The condo is not fancy but well equipped to explore the private beach and to enjoy the beautiful California Coast. It was a special place when my kids was growing up. We had plenty of happy memories like the one you are having, with bonfires, collecting sand dollars, catching glimpses of dolphins and whales as they migrate up and down the California coast. Please do come back again, and I look forward to your booking next year.
