This precious 2 bedroom cottage with its coral front door will charm you from the moment you walk in the front gate. The front porch is private, for some quiet time reading a book. Inside, you'll see that 'Puerta Coralina' reflects the simpler side of tropical living but with some useful updates.
THE LIVING AREA...
The living room is furnished with old-fashioned, comfortable wicker furniture, but also has a modern large flat screen 'Smart' TV. The sofa folds out to a queen bed for extra guests, and there is a full bathroom on the main level. The open plan and high ceilings provide a sense of airiness. The kitchen is simple, but has everything you'll need to prepare a great meal. There's a pass-through window from the kitchen to the back deck, which has its own dining set and is like a little world all its own.
THE PRIVATE POOL...
The back deck has a plunge pool with waterfall that is the perfect destination after a long day of shopping in Old Town. It's a very private setting, so you won't be disturbed while soaking your cares away. There's even an outdoor shower for a quick rinse after the pool or beach. The outdoor dining set seats 4+ beside the large propane BBQ grill for a poolside meal.
Upstairs, there are two bedrooms: the first master suite has a King sized bed, flat screen TV, overhead ceiling fan. The second bedroom has a Queen bed, overhead fan and flat screen TV. Each bedroom has its own in-room A/C unit (in addition to the central air system of the house) to better control the comfort of each guest. Each room also features an en-suite bathroom with a roomy shower. The master bedroom features a spacious deck with chaises and a table and chairs. Very private, with plenty of sun.
Central Heat and AC, Pool with available Pool Heat and Waterfall, Washer/Dryer, 50' Flat Screen TV in living room, 26' Flat Screen TV's in bedrooms, Cable TV throughout, Microwave, Blender, Toaster, Full Kitchen, Linens and Towels provided. Amanda really went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. She helped arrange bike rentals, fishing charters and other excursions that made everything go very smoothly. The pool was an added bonus. The house really maximizes the space and was very comfortable and clean. We will definitely return!
We could not have asked for a better location or a more well appointed place to stay. Upon arrival the house was very clean and as neat as a pin. The three bathrooms were perfect for our group of five and the plunge pool was a nice relief after a day of walking the island. This house is much roomier than how it is depicted in the photographs. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware for making breakfast or even dinner. The electric grill out on the patio was a nice surprise that we were able to use also. With cable and secure Wi-Fi throughout the house we were able to stay connected with family and friends and post our travel adventure pics to our Facebook pages. Within a short walk of a few blocks we found grocery and convenience stores for items we wanted to stock the fridge with. Within that 3 to 4 block radius we found a fresh fish market, several eateries and an excellent French bakery that I highly recommend for their croissants and baguettes. Our stay was over the New Year's weekend and I want to commend Amanda Anderson of Last Key Realty for the extra attention to detail that she provided for our stay. She had a goody bag full of New Year's party favors, hats, noisemakers and balloons for our celebration. But the surprises did not end there, she had 2 bottles of celebratory champagne and a fresh delicious Key Lime Pie for us in the fridge. Amanda really did go above and beyond our expectations. It is this attention to detail and the great property that make us want to return again and again to Key West. Thank you so much from all of us for making this our best vacation holiday ever. Anyone considering taking a house for a week would not be disappointed by this lovely property. For one you're getting much more space than you would at a hotel or guesthouse. Our most memorable times were having coffee or drinks on the front or back porches. And the upper deck is great for catching some sun. Due to it's central location it's an easy 10 to 15 minute walk to Duval street or to the north or south end. Thank you again for such a great vacation!
This was a really nice, large house in a great location. There are 2 good sized bedrooms and 3 full baths so this would easily work for 2-3 couples. The house also has a nice, stocked kitchen and a small pool in the back which was great. Amanda met us at the property to check us in and check us out which was a really nice touch. We also loved the location, right next to the cemetery and accessible to everything. The only complaint we have is that when we showed up, there was a chemical smell coming from one of the bedrooms from the floor being redone and then what seemed like 10 plug in air fresheners added to mask the smell I'm assuming. Both of us have sinus problems and allergies so we immediately had to close off the bedroom with the smelly floor and find/remove all the plug in air fresheners, and open the doors to clear the air. This could have been a problem if there were two couples and we needed the second bedroom but luckily we didn't. We also had a small problem with the washing machine but Amanda was very receptive and helpful even though it happened on Thanksgiving day. All in all, a great property that we would definitely return to!
We spent my 50th birthday at this amazing home. We had two couples and two dogs and could not have picked a better home. We had two issues and our Guest Services Coordinator, Amanda, was on top of it in no time. She is awesome and we could not have had a better stay and she is a big part of the reason. The pool is nice and is perfect to get in after a day out in Key West. The beds are comfy and everything was just perfect. We will definitely be back to Key West and this great home! Thanks Amanda - for everything!!
This house was beautiful and right in the middle of everything. It was on a quiet corner, and everything was clean. Would definitely stay again!
'Puerta Coralina' is located on Grinnell Street in the heart of Solares Hill, the highest point of Key West, and one of the quieter streets in Key West. You'll be able to walk to just about everything Key West has to offer.
