About Anthony Turner
I'm the youngest of 15 children sort of like the Brady Bunch. My Mom had 6, Dad 3 from a previous marriage and my mom remarried to a great guy who had 6 kids. We all get along swimmingly. I love to travel the world and love to open my home up to people who enjoy seeing other parts of the world. I work hard to make it a great experience for them. My first international trip was to Japan. I went there as a United States Ambassador when I was 17 with a singing group I founded. I have since been to China, Korea, Thailand, Cambodia, Mexico, France, Spain, Guatemala, Dubai, Kenya, Bali, Brazil, England, Hungary, Czech Republic and several other islands & countries. One of my goals for the coming years is to explore more of the United States and check some of the boxes on my bucket list like Iceland and Australia.

Nice place for visiting uChicago
First off, I don't usually leave all 5 stars on anything. That being said this was a nice place to stay close to uChicago for my daughter's college visit.
There was some miscommunication that the owner quickly remedied. I would consider staying here again if my daughter were to matriculate next fall. There would be plenty of room for our family of 7.
I would caution you that if you are planning on using the L, which we did exclusively. I would not use King Drive station except for getting OFF and I would walk a little farther and use Cottage Grove station!
Visit to the Chicago Museum of Science & Industry
We stayed at Anthony's place for a weekend to take kids to the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry. (Excellent museum about five minutes from the apartment!) The property was just as described. Anthony was very easy to work with and answered my questions promptly. The space is much larger than it seems for being a garden apartment. We had three kids and three adults in the apartment and had enough space. The dining room table only seats four, so some of us ate in the adjacent TV/Living Room on tray tables. The kitchen is small, but had everything we needed. Street parking was super easy. I was concerned because it is a highly populated area in Chicago, but we got parking right in front of the apartment both nights! Since this is a garden apartment, you can hear footsteps from the apartment above, but no other noises. The neighborhood was quiet at night. Depending on which way you arrive to the apartment, you do drive through a not so great neighborhood, but then it changes very quickly and I felt safe staying at Anthony's.
Very well detailed process to access the rental. Especially appreciated the heads up regarding the surrounding neighborhoods.
Perfect balance of accessibility, peace, and affordability!
The location was in close proximity to the university, and the railway system. The basement apartmen
Walkable distance to U of Chicago as long as it is daylight.
Great place to stay and just minutes from everything!!
This is a great place to stay. Tony was an outstanding person to work with and helped us greatly. The place was clean, cozy and had plenty of room. One bathroom did make for some careful planning, but I highly recommend Tony's place for anyone who has a small group and wants to stay just minutes from everything. We were in town for a convention at McCormick Place and it was a straight shot from the house to the parking garage. There were plenty of places to eat in the area and a nice grocery store right around the corner. I highly recommend Tony's place!!!!
