Nestled in the heart of the up-and-coming, Woodlawn/Hyde park Area. A short 6-minute drive will have you at the beaches & running trails of Lake Michigan, the world-renowned Museum of Science & Industry or US Cellular Field and 15 minutes to Grant Park & downtown, Chicago.
Steps away from the 372-acre Washington Park & the historic University of Chicago School & Hospital. Walking distance to green line el station & Greenline coffee shop. A gated property, on a quiet and safe block.
The area is being revitalized and, although to arrive at the property, depending on your route, you must drive through some less than desirable appearing areas from the expressway, once you arrive, you will find the block to be quite nice.
The building is 4 blocks from the SW border of The University of Chicago campus.
This comfortable unit is cozy enough to make the big city feel like a country cottage; yet stylish enough to make you feel like you're in a downtown condo. It's the perfect 3-bedroom apartment for a weekend getaway or for a long-term stay, with ample free street parking to boast. Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds. The third bedroom has two twin beds.
The condo will be exclusively yours.
Interaction with Guests
This is a private 3-bedroom unit to which you will have exclusive access. I live on the premises in another private unit and am happy to help in any capacity necessary in advance of or during your visit.
The gated building is located on the border of Hyde Park and Woodlawn. It is on a safe and quiet block that feels like more like a suburb rather than a condo in the heart of the city.
Bear in mind, Chicago is very much a block-by-block sort of city. One block could have million dollar homes and just 2 blocks over could be a very different story. My building is situated in a location that lends itself to a very nice and comfortable experience. I've had families with children and single individuals stay at my location. Each of them has enjoyed their stay and I have enjoyed hosting them.
The green line is a short 5-minute walk away which can serve as your access point to the entire city. There are also several buses that run nearby. The closest stop is at the corner of my block.
