This luxurious apartment, restored and designed by Toulouse Interiors, is a real dream – 1600 square feet elegantly combining the best of Old World Paris with modern luxuries and amenities, located on the 2nd floor (US floor) on a Haussmann, 19th Century Building with elevator. Staying at Residence Saint-Germain is the beginning of a unique Paris experience you will never forget.

The 2011, no-expense-spared restoration preserved the original hardwood floors, multiple original fireplaces, antique Baccarat Chandeliers and spectacular ceiling molding. The bathrooms and kitchen epitomize the height of today’s luxuries and amenities, including air conditioning. The décor throughout the apartment includes many original 19th century French antiques and artwork, handpicked by the owners, who are world-renowned antique dealers based in Los Angeles and Paris. Imagine living in a restored 19th century French apartment appointed by art and furnishings which are original to the same period.

One would have trouble finding a more desirable Parisian address than that of Residence Saint-Germain. This important property is located less than half a block to the Saint-Germain-des-Pres Abbey, as well as the famous literary café’s and eateries: Café de Flore, Les Deux Magots and Brasserie Lipp. In their heyday, patrons included the likes of Ernest Hemmingway, Jean Paul Sartre and Pablo Picasso.

Conveniences close to the apartment include a Monoprix (French supermarket) across the street and the Saint-Germain-des-Pres Metro and Bus stops around the corner, which connect you with the rest of the Left Bank as well as greater Paris.

You will also find high-speed internet with Wi-Fi, as well as a complimentary international phone with, unlimited usage to 20 countries, including US.

The open plan kitchen is fully stocked and designed to satisfy any gourmet chef. The spacious kitchen doubles as a dining room, including a marble top bar with bar stools, and an Art Nouveau Majorelle dining table and chairs, Circa 1900.

The three bedrooms flank the living room in two separate wings. About Aurora Dugan

We are antique dealers who absolutely love our second home in Paris! John was born in Italy, and I am originally French. We both met in California where we currently reside most of the year.

Aurora Dugan purchased this apartment in 2011

Why Aurora Dugan chose 6th Arrondissement St Germain des Pres

We have been bringing our family to Paris for as long as we can remember. We love the art, the culture, the food. Paris is romantic and exciting any time of the year!

What makes this apartment unique

For the same price as a hotel room, you can enjoy a full kitchen, a very large master bathroom, a very large and comfortable living room, three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 half bathrooms. On top of it it is situated in the best romantic part of Paris.

The absolute best apartment in Paris!!!

  • 5 of 5

Well, you’ve found hit… the perfect apartment for your Paris vacation. We spent hours researching options before choosing to rent this amazing place, and we definitely made the right choice. This was a family vacation with my husband and I, my parents, and our two teenage sons. The living room is spacious and comfortable, and you get a good amount of privacy with the orientation of the bedrooms and bathrooms. The master bathroom is huge, and we loved the fabulous shower and tub. We slept well on the comfy beds. The bedrooms are also quiet at night. We cooked in a couple nights, and were pleasantly surprised by how well stocked the kitchen was with pans, utensils, dishes, anything we needed. The washer and dryer were especially convenient to have right in the apartment. And the location, it cannot be beat! Staying in the center of Paris meant we could walk everywhere. For some of the further destinations like Versailles and Montmartre, we took the Metro, which is also very close by. Monoprix (a large supermarket) is across the street, where you can buy whatever you might need, from toothpaste, to wine and veal chops! The apartment has a rolling shopping bag which we used for groceries. We noticed there were umbrellas for us, but we luckily did not need them once. Weather was lovely, in the upper 60’s every day. We felt very safe in the neighborhood, where we felt comfortable letting our boys roam around by themselves to see the sights. The apartment manager Linda was very helpful, showing us the in and outs of the apartment and neighborhood at check-in. Amenities were all there - good wifi, a security entrance and even a landline with free international phone calling! Did I mention how beautiful the apartment is? The owners are art collectors, so you will find dazzling works of art everywhere. Like I said, you can stop looking now. : ) We cannot wait to return with our family and will recommend this apartment to all our friends.

Do Yourself a Favor---Stay Here

  • 5 of 5

As you can see by the pictures and all the other reviews the apartment combines old world elegance with all the modern conveniences at an ideal location, so I won't try to repeat everything that's already been said. Instead, I will try to give you some practical information about the place:

1. When we arrived Linda, the property manager, who speaks perfect English, gave us a complete explanation of how everything in the apartment works. Don't panic. You don't have to remember everything she says. There is a user friendly binder in the apartment that has all the same information. Plus, Linda makes herself available by telephone, email and text to help you throughout your stay. 2. Unlike many houses and apartments we've rented in the past, the apartment's WiFi worked perfectly during our stay. The apartment also has a phone that allows you to make free calls to most places you're likely to want to reach. 3. A Metro line, a bus stop and a taxi stand are all just around the corner. Several ATMs and many restaurants of all types are also steps away, as well as a Monoprix (a kind of mini-Target, combined department store and supermarket). 4. The configuration of the apartment worked perfectly for our family, but perhaps not for every group. There were six of us: my wife and myself, our son and daughter-in-law, and our 10 and 13 year old granddaughters. The master bedroom and adjacent large master bathroom are on one side of the apartment and can be closed off for complete privacy. The other two bedrooms were on the other side of the apartment with a small hallway between them, each with an adjacent small half bath, one with the shower and the other with the toilet. One of the bedrooms has a large closet and the other one has no closet. Whoever is going to use these two bedrooms should be aware that they will be sharing bathrooms and closet space. It was not a problem for our family. 5. When we booked the apartment we were given a suggested transport service to take us back and forth to the airport. We took the suggestion and were very happy with the service.

I hope you take my advice and book this lovely apartment for your next visit to Paris.

Outstanding Property in a great location

  • 5 of 5

Situated approximately 100 yards from Deux Margots and just above the Montblanc shop, this beautiful and well equipped apartment is a short walk to the Louvre and other central attractions. My family of five found this to be a great home for our five days exploring Paris and would recommend it highly. Linda Fanton, the manager, is terrific. She answers questions, gives tips and helps solve problems. Enjoy

Location Location Location cannot be beat

  • 5 of 5

Five adults in a three-bedroom apartment could have been a problem, but this apartment made the stay a PLEASURE.

This well-maintained, spacious apartment really had everything. The only downside was the air conditioning. Coming into Paris on a really hot day (one report said 101 F) put the portable A/C units (located only in bedrooms) to the test and it took a little while for the rooms to cool off. The living room, even with its great windows, was no match for the heat.

The manager (Linda) was thorough, helpful, and friendly.

WE would all definitely stay there again.

Perfect spot in Paris

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this lovely residence for two weeks and could not have been happier, particularly as first time visitors to Paris. It is centrally located to many popular sites and is surrounded by fine retail shops, open markets, centuries old churches, exquisite chocolate shops and some of the best restaurants. The pictures posted accurately depict the stunning beauty and historic charm of this very spacious apartment. The Louvre, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Seine, Luxembourg Gardens are all within a 15 minute walk. The only time we took a cab was a night tour of this City of Lights. Two of the most famous cafes, Les Deux Magots and Cafe de Flore are only a half block from the front door. Linda was very gracious and helpful upon our arrival and made herself available for any questions, plus she gave us an excellent recommendation for the organic farmers market held on Sundays. The food and wines in this district are outstanding. We would not hesitate to rent this luxury residence again!

An outstanding apartment

  • 5 of 5

This luxury apartment lived up to the images. It was beautifully appointed with high quality appliances as well as lovely furnishings. Spacious and comfortable, it provided everything our family of five needed for our stay in Paris. The location was perfect - great brasseries, patisseries, shops and the Metro only minutes away.

The manager Linda was very professional and approachable; she met us at the apartment and explained everything in detail. The property was very well maintained and we would love to go back.

We arrived in Paris during the recent Charlie Hebdo terrorist attack and yet felt completely safe. Security throughout the city was ever present but not intimidating. Paris remains one of the most beautiful cities in the world and we experienced the best of Paris staying in this outstanding apartment.
