New—Large 5-Star Luxury Resort on Ka'anapali Beach

Please check our calendar for availability before inquiry!

We hope you find this piece of paradise as we have. It is truly one of the most relaxing and enjoyable places in the world. The following are just a few reasons why our condo and Honua Kai are the best!

• Steps to the Beach – As seen, you’ll walk right out from this ground level residence and you’re only steps to the world class 3-mile long Ka'anapali Beach. We love taking the long walk to Whalers Village.

• Large and Spacious! – Sleeps 8-9 with 3 bed 3 bath with approximately 2,300 sq/ft, 3 Cal. Kings (Master—Organic Bed), 1 Queen sofa hide-away, and 2 port-a-cribs and a high chair.

• Ocean Views – Watch the gorgeous Maui sunsets and relax and listen to the waves roll in from your own private lanai.

• Spacious lanai & private lawn – Soak up the sun on your private lounge chairs, table, and private lush lawn area.

• Folding Glass-Wall – As seen, the entire great room wall opens to fully connect the lanai and private grass area to the great room.

• Luxury Living —Travertine tile throughout, 3 California King Beds, very large bathrooms-shower, Viking appliances, central A/C, washer/dryer, and gourmet cookware.

• Tech Advanced – Bose DVD/BluRay System, 4 LCD TVs, Free Wi-Fi, Speakers throughout, Wii console & games, cable TV, iPod or iPhone dock, Apple TV component.

• Elegant Beach Decor — Fitting for both the beach and a world-class resort, we’ve furnished our unit with beautiful Tommy Bahama furniture to create a relaxing yet elegant feel.

• Pools — Three spectacular swimming pools, each with its own unique experience. The Formal Pool is an infinity-edge lap pool featuring two Jacuzzi whirlpools and perfect ocean views. The Ohana Pool features a one hundred and twenty foot water slide and a waterfall that cascades into the main swimming area. Natural lava rock forms an elevated hot tub that takes in the ocean views. The Ohana Pool has a sandy beach and a shallow 'keiki', (Hawaiian for kids') pool. The River Pool features a meandering river that flows through smaller swimming holes and waterfalls.

• Tropical Landscaping — Extensive landscaping with tropical and native Hawaiian plants provides color, fragrance, and beauty to Honua Kai's natural setting.

• Fitness Room — there is a large fitness/weight room in the Konea Tower.

• Food — an upscale full-service beach-side restaurant, Duke's Beach House, on the beachfront of Honua Kai Resort. Beautiful ocean views and renowned island-style cuisine is now steps away with pool and room service provided by this 'sister' restaurant of Kimo's in Lahaina and Dukes in Waikiki. There are also various delis and restaurants nearby and a full service grocery store across the street.

• Parking — Secured underground parking is available through the resort.

• Honua Kai Resort — The new $400-million development is situated along nearly 40 beachfront acres on Ka'anapali Beach, one of Maui’s best snorkeling and dive locations. It is the first whole ownership resort and spa development of its kind to open on Ka'anapali Beach in more than 25 years.

• Surrounding Area — Honua Kai Resort's location on Ka'anapali Beach allows for easy access to golf, tennis, shopping, snorkeling, surfing, whale watching, or just relaxing on the beach listening to the soothing waves of the Pacific Ocean and enjoying the spectacular sunsets. You can walk along the beach to Whaler's Village and scenic Black Rock. The 'Sugar Cane Train' depot is located across the street from Honua Kai. Historic Lahaina is a short drive from Honua Kai. It was the first capital of Hawaii and still very vibrant today. You can take in the cultural activities, shops, galleries and award-winning restaurants along Front Street. There are also charters for deep-sea fishing, sailing, or whale-watching at the harbor.

We hope you take advantage of this excellent value!

About Jared Brown

After coming to Hawaii 35 years ago and spending time on each of the islands over a period of five years, we concluded that Maui was truly number one-- Maui No Ka ‘Oi! As we looked at condos all over the island, we decided Ka'anapali Beach was the most beautiful place in all of the world. We purchased a two bedroom condo in the Papakea Beach Resort and made it our home-away-from-Utah-home for the last 30 years.

Jared Brown purchased this condo in 2006

Why Jared Brown chose Maui

When they announced the ground-breaking and sales of Honua Kai Resort in 2005-2006, we were excited to purchase since it was the first new fee-simple property (that wasn’t time shared) in 25 years on Ka'anapali Beach. Also we wanted a three bedroom unit and were thrilled to get a ground floor location right next to the beach for quick and easy access to the ocean. We love what the developer has given us with this exquisite resort hotel. There are only two other ocean front units in the complex with a shorter walk to the beach than ours.

What makes this condo unique

We love the white sand beach walks to Black Rock, the sunsets, snorkeling, diving, and boogie boarding, all by taking less than 100 steps from our door. We also love our spacious 11-foot ceilings with the folding window walls that merge the lanai with the lush green beauty of the West Maui Mountains as well as the incredible ocean view. We have stayed at 5-star resorts around the world, but we have never stayed in a more spacious or more beautiful place than our new home in Hawaii. We also love to share this gift with others and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!

Aloha from your hosts,

Jared and Margie Brown

Beautiful condo

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful condo. It is super handy as it is on the first floor with a very short walk to the beach where we spent much of our time. Equally short walk to the pool areas. No elevators to wait on. Great beds led to a wonderful nights sleep. More beach toys and chairs than anyone needs. Condo's theee bedrooms and ample living area gave everyone their personal space. Watch great sunsets right from the lanai and grass yard. Just a really nice, luxurious place to stay. Can't think of a single negative.

Wonderful trip with the kids and grandkids

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this condo with our children, their spouses and two grandkids (6 adults and 2 little ones) for two weeks in August 2016. The place is absolutely amazing! It has two master suites and a third bedroom with a bathroom directly across the hall. Both master suites had plenty of room for a crib and blow-up bed and all three bedrooms had large TV's in each room allowing each family to have their own "space".

Being on the first floor is wonderful (especially with little kids) as there is a little grassy area and easy access to the beach without having to go up and down an elevator. Their is also a nice outdoor table for dining and/or sitting around to enjoy the sunset. The Condo had plenty of beach equipment (chairs, boogie boards, snorkle gear, sand castle toys, etc). The construction next door did not bother us at all and the condo will gain a absolutely fantastic ocean view once the construction fence goes down.

The complex has several large pools, a water slide (which was used a lot by the kids & grandkids) and is very family oriented. Duke's restaurant on property is also very nice for an easy breakfast, lunch or dinner. We also enjoyed cooking at home many evenings and used the BBQ area numerous times.

This was our second stay at this condo and I highly recommend it to families. And also a shout out to the owners (and Sherry) as they are very, very helpful in making sure your stay is delightful.

Amazing Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We recently rented this condo with another family. In total we had 4 adults and three young children. The condo is in a great location with easy access to the beach, the bbq, and three pools. We loved having the ground floor with the little ones and found the condo to be extremely kid friendly. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need. They even had a Vitamix which we were especially stoked about since we are big smoothie/juice people. Sherry was amazingly helpful with booking the resort as well as giving us info about the property and surrounding area. We hope to book the property again next year. Loved it!!!!

Home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

We searched a long time to find a beautiful condo near the beach where we could have 3 separate bedrooms and 3 private bathrooms for us and our adult children. This condo was ideally located and beautifully appointed. The first impression on entering was the spacious layout and the beautiful furnishings. It looks like the owner's home - not a rental. The family room has lots of comfortable seating and there is an enormous dining room table . The kitchen looks brand new. It has a big counter and cooktop and is well stocked and supplied with condiments and spices. Perfect for cooking.

We enjoyed the facilities the resort has to offer. Very family friendly. We liked being able to use the communal barbecue on the grounds. There are several pools with plenty of umbrellas and chaise lounges. We also loved the proximity to the beach for sunsets and being able to enjoy the water while still finding shade under the trees.

We stayed at this condo the week after Christmas 2015 and couldn't have been happy with our stay. Our group was 6 adults and 2 small kids (3 and 1). The separation in the unit (parents and 2 kids in the master bed wing and the other 2 couples on the other side) was PERFECT! The very solid construction and wall of windows separating inside from outside meant that you couldn't hear construction in the unit at all and the adults could be on the lanai while the kids were sleeping. The finishes were all very high end and the place was extremely clean and orderly. The first floor location was ideal for going in and out of the beach/pool/grilling area without having to go inside. The ocean view was nice and will remain intact even when the building next door is completed. The unit is fully stocked with beach gear (several bodyboards, beach chairs, an inner-tube, a pool noodle, several high quality snorkel kits, a nice rolling cooler, extra beach towels, and even more), which was tremendous!

The resort itself was magnificent and perfect for families. There are 6 or 7 hot tubs and 4 pools, one of which is a lazy river and one with a great waterslide that the kids went down hundreds of times. Duke's Beach House was excellent, particularly for ordering lunch and drinks poolside. The Spa got great reviews from those who used it, the resort offered a complimentary photo session, the concierge helped us book a few excursions, and provided tips on some of our self-driving excursions. The coffee shop was nice to have on-site as well. The bell staff got our bags to our room in minutes and everyone was friendly.

The location is absolutely great with a grocery store and some other quick services within a block, it's located between Kapalua and the main Kaanapali area and not far from Lahaina at all. We ate dinner in all 3 of those areas in addition to at Duke's once and never drove more than 15 minutes. It was a quick cab ride for golfing as well and there are some adventures on the north side of Maui that weren't very far. The only thing that was far was the Road to Hana & Haleakala and the road to the airport was crowded as we arrived during peak time and there is only 1 road around the mountains, but we knew that going in. If you plan on spending the majority of your time in West Maui or are OK with driving to the other side of the island, this place is PERFECT.

Overall, this was a PERFECT location for our Maui adventure, especially with the young kids.

Perfect lodging for family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

The lodging was as luxurious as the photos looked. It was a perfect spot for us with our two grown sons and their wives. But I kept thinking how great it would be with grandkids some day. The resort was very family friendly. Beach toys were great to have and the closeness to the beach was perfect. The unit is absolutely soundproof so the construction didn't affect us at all. Wonderful stay!
