Canyon Cottage has spectacular views of Govett's Leap Gorge near Horseshoe Falls. A spacious back deck on the canyon side of the cottage permits you to dine on the very edge of paradise. Popes Glen Walk is just down the hill from where you can drink wine and enjoy a view that will take your breath away. The cottage has two queen size bedrooms, is completely self-contained with a fully equipped kitchen, TV & DVD, central heating, log fire and a luxurious spa for two.
The cabin is totally hidden from the road in bush, yet has an unobstructed view of the most magnificent parts of the Blue Mountains.
Park your car in the carport and follow the winding path down to the cottage. Feel the warmth of the natural wood and high exposed timber ceilings as you enter this gorgeous retreat.
The dining room, lounge and master bedroom all have spectacular views of Grose Valley. BBQ on the spacious deck across the back of the cottage. Wander down to the rustic log table at very edge of the drop off and sip wine at sunset. See the dazzling lights of Sydney over the escarpment. There are no cottages with a better view available in the Blue Mountains. The cottage sits below the road and is totally hidden from view.
Complete the picture by watching the parrots feeding on the large outdoor deck, this is one of the best mountain escapes you will find. Pack your bags.......what are you waiting for????

Amazing Place to Stay
Before even opening the front door, we could already see the view. Absolutely stunning view of the Grose Valley. All we could hear were the birds. Everything with the cottage itself made us feel at home. location is perfect for getting around to all the attractions.
Will be staying again for sure.
We had a fabulous 2 night stay here in April, the location is perfect, views are amazing and the house is beautiful. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday, close to the best of everything in the Blue Mountains but so quiet and peaceful. Blackheath is a lovely village, lots of great little cafes and Katoomba is just a short drive to pick up supplies. Spectacular outlook from every part of the house but the view from the outdoor area can't be beaten. Once you've been here no other property will compare. We will definitely be back! The owners are fabulous too, great communication and consideration to our needs for arrival and departure.
Tranquil and beautiful
Wanted a relaxing weekend with a friend in a beautiful setting and that is exactly what we found in this little gem of a place. Centrally located close to shops but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. The view was stunning although it rained the whole weekend so only had the mountain view for the first morning and then as we were leaving. Did it matter? Not at all! The mist and clouds created their own magical charm as did the birds. The wood fire was a lovely bonus and the crackling fire kept us company as we played scrabble or cards or curled up with a book. The kitchen was well equipped and the whole place was clean and comfy. Will definitely return!
Fantastic Weekend Getaway!!
A fantastic weekend getaway! We absolutely loved our stay at canyon cottage, the view was stunning, the house was comfortable and was in a great location. The information book was very useful, we did the walk to Pulpit Rock as recommended and it was one of our highlights of our stay. I would definitely recommend Canyon Cottage and can't wait to stay there again myself.
Fantastic outlook onto national park
The views are great from the back. It's the best feature we think.
It's a lovely quiet location. The kids loved watching out for the birds, which plenty of seed was provided to feed them. Basic kitchen, but adequate. Lovely large bathroom.
Stunning View, good location, Cabin average
I stayed here with a couple of friends in July 2015, the cabin is situated on a residential road which is good because it makes it easy to find and also you feel the safety of other houses around which is good for a group of girls staying here. The house itself is well equipped, the kitchen has every utensil you need and firewood is provided for the first nights stay. The central heating was good as it was -1 degrees when we stayed here, the only thing i would say is the heating doesn't stretch through to one of the bedrooms (or it might but it wasn't working when stayed) so the bedroom felt quite cold but each bed has a electric blanket to take the chill out of the bed. The house needs a little updating and the bedding in the bedrooms could do with updating, although the sheets were clean, and the bedroom was tidy and clean i think the bedspread could be changed.
Although the house is situated between other houses there is a really nice feel of isolation as the views out to the valley are stunning, the garden is a nice size and the seating area at the end of the garden was a lovely touch, especially watching the sunrise over the valley. The garden could do with tidying up a bit and some new outdoor furniture would be a nice touch.
I regularly book weekends away and have stayed in a lot of different types of accommodation, this place has a lovely feel about, and the views over the valley are gorgeous, however I feel this is slightly over priced compared to similar properties and i think the cabin is a little dated.
I booked my stay through Blue Mountains getaways, the service feels slightly automated but they seemed fine to book through.
Overall a pleasant stay but probably wouldn't book again as I feel the price is slightly high for what you get.
