new swimming pool and grill and screened porch eating area.Enclosed area under house is owner storage and is locked. There is an 8x8 locking shed with plenty of room to house and protect fishing/dive gear. Shed also contains a chest freezer for guest use.(please empty and clean out upon checkout).

Home interior includes master bedroom with king-size bed and small private bath. Two bedrooms downstairs have queen and full-size beds.MBR and one lower BR equiped with TV and DVD player.Nintendo Game Cube in lower BR as well.
Kitchen with new appliances looks into the family room with 45 inch TV. TV receives full cable package. VCR/DVD player and stereo with CD player and IPOD adapter in family room as well.Large screened-in porch with seating area and dining table just off family room. Plenty of off street parking in front of house.
Doors to house use a keypad lock, the combination will be provided prior to arrival.

My wife and I lived in Florida for many years and have always loved the Keys.Avid boaters; we love be on the water.We have 2 sons who both love watersports as well.After completing our medical training in Tampa we moved back to SC to be closer to family but could not stay away from the Keys. We bought this home as a second home in 1992 and only began renting out to help cover some of the expenses. As such you will see when you arrive that this is not just a rental property but is our home.We dont rent it out more than 5-6 times a year.

We bought this property because it is in one of the most desirable developments in the lower keys. Summerland Key is situated evenly between Key west and Marathon providing easy access for shopping and fine dining but far enough away to get away from the crowds when necessary. Also Summerland is an excellent boating key with deep water close to the island and well marked and deep canals and quick access to either the Atlantic or the Gulf.
This house has ample parking for a truck pulling a boat trailer and two additional vehicles. The place was clean and well cared for. The person managing the rental was very helpful with directions on and off the water. Clean house and property. I would stay again.
I'm so happy that the owner has decided to share this home. It was perfect for our 10 day vacation. This property had everything we needed and then some. It was only my husband and I on this trip but this home could accomadate 6-8 easily. The kitchen was well stocked with all types of utensils and cooking equipment. The pool was a plus. My husband took advantage of the deep freezer and storage outside for all of his fishing rods. The neighbor was there if we needed anything and the owner was available by phone or email also. The sea wall had plenty of room for our 22 ft boat. Fish cleaning table and water hose for cleaning our catch. I could go on and on about this property. We've vacationed in Summerland for 3 years now and this home was wonderful! We will be back in the future!
Lovely house in great location. House was equipped with everything you might need and more. We vacationed with 2 adults and 3 children and had plenty of room. Pool was wonderful to use and a great size. We rented kayaks for a day and went out on the canal. Very convenient to stores, beaches and Key West. Also, perfect location just to enjoy the surroundings. Thank you for a lovely stay!!
Lovely vacation rental! Pictures do it NO justice. This 3 BD/2 BATH home more than adequately accommodates 8 people. The seawall was able to accommodate our 24 ft boat making it easy to access the ocean within 5 minutes. We really enjoyed the pool and umbrella table every afternoon after a hard day at fishing to cool off. Most importantly, the caretaker of this property, Greg, and his wife Donah, were the icing on the cake!!!! They were so friendly and helpful in making us feel welcomed. They even shared many awesome stories of the home's history and their experiences on the island. In fact, my youngest daughter attached herself to Donah as they had so much in common and she even begged her to stay upon our departure. They truly are an added bonus! We enjoyed our stay and will visit again, hopefully sooner than later.
Just got back from week at this home. Nothing less than terrific!!! Everything we needed was right there. Especially loved the pool after being out fishing all day. The loft upstairs is great for relaxing with a good book from the more than adequate library and a comfortable couch. And lots of good food and entertainment close by. Would recommend this home to anyone... kid friendly, serious fisherman friendly, sunbathing wife friendly, etc.
The pictures don't do this house justice. It is beautiful and exceptionally clean.. We kept our boat behind the canal which makes it easy to go fishing. The neighbor, Gregg, acts as a caretaker and is so friendly and helpful, just ask for anything and it appears like magic. The house is close to Marathon and Key West. We would return here and also would recommend this property to anyone.The owners of the property are easy to reach by phone, and always answered our questions quickly. The living quarters are upstairs, so you do have to be able to climb stairs.
