Relaxing and convenient

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed at Lamorna for the recent Bunbury Cup soccer tournament. The house was just a few minutes from the tournament grounds, which meant we could go back to the room when we had gaps in game times. That was a real luxury!

The room we stayed in had 3 double beds, with a bunk bed on top of one. The mattresses were very comfortable and the room and bathroom were very clean.

Lorraine is such as lovely host and made us a great breakfast on the Sat and Sun mornings - not having to make breakfast before heading off for the games was a real treat.

I'd thoroughly recommend this B&B to anyone staying in Bunbury.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the lovely comments. The 2 beds are actually Queens but the bottom bunk is a King Double. So glad you enjoyed the stay and hope to see you again. Take care. L

We enjoyed our 1 night stay at Lamorna. The bed was very comfortable and Lorraine is a warm and caring hostess. Loved watching her feed the birds in the morning.

Peaceful night prior to wedding

  • 5 of 5

Being of older years, (57), Lorraine provided a wonderful and relaxing home for the 3 guys and 2 grandsons to spend the night prior to my wedding. The variety of birds (feathered) that dropped by in the morning for their regular feed, and Lorraine's commentary of them were a source of entertainment, The healthy breakfast (home cooked bread, fruits, drinks, cereals and choice of spreads) was received willingly. When my Singapore brother arrived unannounced, she graciously provided breakfast for him too. Very much appreciated.

Only if you like B & B and are prepared to drive

  • 3 of 5

We are probably not suited to B&B's as we like our privacy and it is hard to get it here. The property is also quite some distance from the centre of town so if you want to dine out, you will need a designated driver. The room is odd with 2 double beds and 2 bunks so, even if you have the family, privacy is zero. The TV is quite small and in a corner so you have to view it from one bed. The dining area is very nice as are the gardens. The breakfast is OK provided you like fruit and cereal (I don't) and the home made bread is delicious. The shower is very awkward if you are over 5'5" - I am 6'1" and the unadjustable shower head came to my chest so I had to do the samba to wash my hair and that is annoying. It was very hot when we were there and the air conditioning was either turned off (we asked for it to be on) or did not work well.

One of the best B & B i have ever stayed in

  • 5 of 5

My mother, sister and i stayed at Lamorna for a night and wished we had booked for more! We had no trouble locating the place. The room was spacious, the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom & toilet clean and tidy and the garden impressive. Lorraine was a lovely and helpful host and watching her feed the birds was a very special treat. Highly recommended to anyone - it was better than having the whole place to ourselves!
