This cottage is two short blocks from the beach on a beautiful barrier island on the Gulf of Mexico. There are two attached cottages on this property. They are mirror images. Both cottages have been completely renovated and have open beam ceilings, terrazzo floors, new central heat and air and new kitchen and bathroom. There is plenty of outdoor space to sit and relax with a glass of wine or just enjoy the beautiful weather. The cottages are within walking distance to several restaurants, bakery, ice cream parlor and pub. They are near the trolley stop which allows one to explore many miles along the gulf beaches. Our tropical landscaping, patios, and coconut palms all contribute to creating a very relaxing 'Old Florida' feeling.
Bring your Boat, this property is located just two short blocks from the beach, on a large corner lot with plenty of parking for your boat. There is a newly built boat ramp nearby with parking for your car. Indian Rocks Beach is a beautiful spot of pristine white sandy beaches and sparkling water perfect for swimming. It is located on the 12 mile string of tropical barrier islands between Clearwater and St. Petersburg Florida.
We are conveniently located 45 minutes from Bush Gardens, Lowry Park Zoo and Ybor City and 1.5 hours away from Disney World and Universal Studios.
Indian Rocks Beach has been written up by a major newspaper for being one of the few remaining quaint beach towns, essentially unspoiled by commercialism. You can sit down with the locals and enjoy a plate of seafood at one our excellent restaurants or have an ice cream cone at the local parlor. For breakfast enjoy a cup of coffee and a treat at the local bakery. All within walking distance.
Not much has changed from the easy living that brought people here in the 1920's.
For the more adventurous there is parasailing, kayaking, scuba diving, snorkeling, tennis, racquetball, golf, dolphin encounters and sailing.
Yes, we are located on an island with miles and miles of continuous beaches.
It's your vacation. Do as much or as little as you please
Owner Idalmis and Ken. We both grew up in Tampa and still live nearby. Our family also owns property here on the island.
Idalmis purchased this cottage in 2009
I chose Indian Rocks Beach because I grew up vacationing here. I have traveled throughout the world and this is still my favorite place for an extended vacation.
I have stayed in both the blue and green cottage. They are clean and equipped with everything you need. Just a short walk to the beach. Peaceful and quiet. We live in a Tampa but stay at the beach as often as possible on the weekends. The only "issue" I noticed is the pull out bed in the blue cottage leaves something to be desired and the lock boxes are difficult to get open. We will be back numerous times the rest of the year!!
Me and a couple long time buddies enjoyed a great extended weekend at this wonderful little beach home. Easy access to the beach! You just cross the street and you are there. The house has all you need - kitchen stocked, towels, beach chairs, nice little TV with cable, and a great patio. We made good use of the grill and outside patio area. Plenty of great seafood restaurants within walking distance.
All in all nice little quaint place to relax!
As a native Floridian I have lived and traveled all over this state. Every year for my son's birthday we find a little cottage on the beach to celebrate, have friends over and enjoy quality time. This place, by far, has been our favorite. Adorable, clean, comfortable. Well equipped for a fun cook out. We will return, no doubt.
Pro tip: don't let your boyfriend go body surfing with the keys in his pocket ;-) Good thing is, the owner is quick to respond, super helpful, understanding and very kind.
Love this place. Couldn't be more happy with our stay!!!
The cottage was clean and roomy and yes, 300 steps to the beach, although I didn't count. Indian Rocks Beach is a lovely area and the sunsets were exquisite. We went to the beach, saw St Pete and Clearwater Beach. My daughter lives down the street so,of course, that was a big draw.I liked the fact that this area wasn't super touristy but you can find that if you want it.
I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.
We really enjoyed our stay. The owner had to come help us with the TV and the DVD player, which she was prompt and very accommodating. The walk to the beach was good for us as that was the most exercise we got for the week: enjoyed being on the beach and soaking in the sun!
We do a lot of mini getaways throughout the state and this is one of our favorites. Perfect cottage for me and my wife to get away to. Perfect size for us. Priced fairly. Anything you could need. Easy wireless access for me to work and a block or two from the beach. Close to great restaurants. Wish we could have found it sooner!
