Ann Arbor (formerly Bellanina) Guest House is located in the heart of Ann Arbor's Historic Kerrytown District. This exclusive and private residence is on the second floor of a 170 year old home surrounded by antique perennials. We are across from Kerrytown Shops and Market and the famed Kerrytown Farmer's Market (open Wednesdays & Saturdays in season). The area is vibrant with life and activity. With the Kerrytown Concert House next door, classical and jazz music often escapes their confines and fills the Guest House! We renovated this Guesthouse in February 2018 and it is fresh and new and sparkly after being open since 2003. We have new paint, new carpet, new bed, new draperies and window coverings, new kitchen appliances and more! The charm of this house keeps regulars, such as parents of kids at U of M or those coming for football weekends coming back. It becomes their home away from home. We have housed many professors for short and extended stays or couples come to escape their work-a-day world in search of a little peace and quiet from the kids and a night on the town.

About Nina Howard
My life is ruled by my 5 pound dog, Ling-Ling. I never thought a dog could have such power over me! When I am not playing with her I am busy running 6 Guest Houses in Ann Arbor. My dog, Ling-Ling and I call North Carolina mountains my home, where my art studio (and garden) is located, but travel back and forth to Ann Arbor, enjoying my time in one of my Ann Arbor Guest Houses. What a life!
Nina Howard purchased this House in 2003
Why Nina Howard chose Kerrytown
I rented this property in 1994 on the first floor and began working out of my home offering massage and facelift massage. I also painted abstract art in the front room of the first floor. As time went on, this building turned into a Spa and I took over the second floor. Now, a couple of decades later, this building has re-invented itself and houses an apartment upstairs and the offices to the Institute and Spa downstairs. This property has been a gift to me and allowed me to re-invent my businesses over and over again!
What makes this House unique
Unique benefits in Kerrytown - the list is long: Kerrytown Concert House next door (I've listened to Wynton Marsalis LIVE while lounging in bed sipping champagne); The Farmer's Market across the street; Kerrytown Shops and great food, shopping and cappucinos; Zingerman's a block away.

My favorite of your properties
Warm and welcoming!
Wonderful location. We parked our car and walked everywhere we wanted to go for three days. The suite was clean and beautifully appointed and the bed extremely comfortable. There is a charming reading room and a very functional little office. Nina was very accessible and helped us immediately with a small problem we had.
However, for some reason when the suite was updated they did not renovate the bathroom which is not up to the quality level of the rest of the suite. They also only upgraded half of the kitchen so that you have old cupboards and an older sink on one side and new appliances and one new cupboard on the other. The building definitely needs to be rewired as there are detailed instructions in the kitchen on what to do when the power goes out due to the system being overloaded, which apparently happens often. ( If this happens at night, it involves going down two flights of stairs, which do not have proper handrails, in the dark, and out of the building and around the side to where the fuse boxes are located.) So if you stay, pack a lantern or flashlight.
That being said, we had a delightful time. It is a short walk to Zingerman’s Deli, Footprints shoe store, Crazy Wisdom bookstore, and the Amadeus restaurant, where we had an amazing old world meal.
We would definitely recommend this to our friends or relatives and we look forward to our next stay.
Nina has the perfect place!! A wonderful blend of comfort, and convenience!! And so clean!!
We walked to too many places to list. This is really a perfect place, and we look forward to always staying here when visiting Ann Arbor in the future!!
